The Kettle Black Kitchen & Pub

Took my friend here for her birthday and started with Bread Pudding to start off her birthday right!!! It was fantastic! The cream sauce and Carmel were perfectionNext we shared the crab cakes which I highly recommend.Then she ordered the Fish and Chips that were perfectly fried flaky but good!I ordered the Pork BellyMac n Cheese! The sriracha honey glaze added the sweet and heat I loved it!!!To go we ordered the New York Cheesecake with Carmel and Pecan topping!

Love the pub feel but was a little disappointed in the draft selections. Not to mention they were $11 each. Food was decent but nothing special. Two items we attempted to get were both out so we had to pivot. Overall, great ambiance but there are so many great options down there to pick to eat again. I will say the staff was kind and attentive.

This place gets 5 stars literally for how delicious the fries were!! We stopped in initially to grab drinks at the bar but ended up ordering some food because everyone's food who came out around us looked amazing! I don't regret our choice at all and wish we were more hungry to try some of the other things on the menu. Service was great. The bar is really cute and reminded me very much of the bars I visited while I was in Ireland. It is a little bit hot/muggy inside. It would be much more enjoyable if it was cooler indoors.

I am a huge fan of pretzels buns and they have them here!! I've only tried the burgers and they are juicy and delicious! The drinks have minimal ingredients, which is amazing, but I sometimes don't like to taste the alcohol! The service is a little hit or miss, the servers overall have been nice and accommodating! This is a small cozy pub with a beautiful bar area!

Came here before a Dbacks game and let me just say, we would've missed the entire game for the food here. I got the Philly cheesesteak fries and they were AHHHH-mazing! That literally was my entire meal and I wasn't sad about it. It was the perfect ratio of steak to veggies to cheese to fries and it was absolutely delicious. My hubby got the honey hot wings and there was nothing but a pile of bones- said they might've been the best wings he's ever had. They were crunchy on the outside, yet tender and juice on the inside with the perfect amount of sauce. He also got the steak salad that despite not looking like he made a dent in it, just about ate the entire thing. We'll definitely be back. Also beside the food, the entire atmosphere was just really cool.

Great place for happy hour. My husband and I walked in and there was a booth available on a Saturday night at around 5:30 PM. We had the Philly cheesesteak fries, the Bavarian pretzel, and the Ahi salad. Everything was good but thr salad was just OK and needed more dressing. The service was great and if we needed help any of the waiters were able to help us. The ambience was very fun and lively. Prices were very reasonable.

The fish and chips and black and tan were great. The location was easy to walk to from the convention center. The atmosphere was nice, but a little on the dark side, for reading the menu at least. I would go back.

I came to Kettle Black Kitchen & Pub with a couple friends about a month ago after an event downtown. This place has really good reviews so I was looking forward to checking it out. It actually missed the mark in a couple areas.Primarily, the service was pretty poor. Our waitress had an attitude which at first we thought was just her "style", and we laughed it off. But it definitely leaned more into rude as the meal progressed. The second miss was with the Pork Belly Mac & Cheese. The pork belly was overly sweet and did not mesh well with the cheesy pasta (our opinion). Additionally, the cheese sauce was extremely soupy. The member of our group who ordered this dish actually ended up sending it back.Wins: the Fish and Chips were good! The fries were a little plain, but the fish was excellent. Ambience is very pub-like which is to be expected; although if you're in a smaller group be prepared to get seated next to other parties at a long communal table. All-in-all, had high hopes and expectations for this place, but don't think we'll be coming back any time soon.

I'm not really sure what the hype is about this place. We went for lunch, and my goodness, the service was so slow! It wasn't even a full house, but there were 2 servers running lost around 5 table tops like it was packed. What's a girl got to do to get a glass of water?Don't even get me started on the burgers. We got the first street burger and bacon onion burger. The flavors were alright; just what you'd expect, but nothing special. However, have you seen the size of their patty? If I wanted to eat a burger patty that tiny I would've just gone to McDonald's and ordered a quarter pounder. I've frequented many similar priced burger joints like Black Tap or Gordon Ramsay and the patty is literally twice the size! What a rip off. The only reason this place gets an extra star is because their pretzels are delicious. I will admit it. They were addictive.

Great spot downtown. Great food and service. Nice typical pub atmosphere wood decor not a huge spot so fills up quick takes reservations for parties of 10 or more.
