Fun atmosphere.. Wonderful concept. All of the money goes to help cancer patients who need meals! The food was great. I had scrambled eggs with arugula, onions and tomatoes. The bread is lovely and came with a fruit spread that was sweet with a tiny bit of spicy. Very good coffee. All of the servers were upbeat. The food came fast even though the place was packed. Eat at Joy Bus and do a good thing for cancer patients.

This a great breakfast choice and the story behind it is even better....bit I'll let you read their cancer foundation information to grasp the impact they have on the community. The restaurant is a definite ode to their name as the entire staff, and customers, were filled with joy, caring and attentiveness. It is a friends and family atmosphere with numerous people who are there multiple times a week. The food is fresh, daily, and changes depending what is donated that morning. I ordered a large, fresh OJ, from Ashley, my server, and it was served in a large Mason Jar and was delicious.I then created an omelet and chose onions, bell peppers, jalapeño and cheddar (over Feta). You could taste and see the veggies were cut prior to cooking and the omelet was served with charred, potato chunks, which were delicious. The menu was a la carte so I decided to order some incredibly fresh, fruit and amazing pumpernickel rye toast. The price was crazy... everything for only $19!!I've had omelets that expensive with canned veggies.I'll definitely be back to trade jokes with Joanna, the manager, who made me feel as if I had been dining there for years. Just a beautiful story complimented by a fantastic kitchen and staff.

"BEST SHAKSHUKA I HAVE EVER HAD!"If you visit this place for the love of everything that is good in this world You have to TRY THE SHAKSHUKA! I'm not exaggerating when I say that this dish is creamy, spicy, tangy, sweet, savory, crunchy! It's everything you will ever want! I will continue to come back to this place just for that dish! Customer service is Super NICE! Salsas are good! The bread that comes with the dish couldn't be more perfect! The tzatziki is cooling and creamy and with the feta cheese it's a perfect combination! Can't wait to be back!

This place is good for what it is. I do love the fact that they are a non-profit and giving back to cancer patients. That's wonderful.I did like the food. I ordered Thursday's special which was a spicy chicken sandwich. I had been there quite some time ago and ordered a breakfast dish. I think it was a chorizo and eggs dish. That was also quite good, as I recall.Service was attentive.I did not like that one cannot make substitutions. For example, I wanted to sub out my fries for something healthier, but that was not an option. They told me this is because all of their food is donated so I guess that is understandable. It just makes eating healthy a little bit more difficult. Also, there was no diet soda available. They told me they only had regular Coke and Regular Sprite. Again, I was looking for a soda without sugar so this was disappointing, but if they need to rely on what's donated, I cannot fault them for it.Whilst I was dining there, a "regular" of theirs came in and sat at the bar next to me. It was delightful to watch as staff greeted him. They even knew he was likely there to order their Ruben and that he would want tea to drink. I found this pretty impressive. Will definitely be back. Thanks for the good work you are doing.

This place is amazing with an amazing mission. It is only open four days because the other days they deliver free food to cancer patients. What a wonderful gift to others. I would go every open day if I could as I have at least six friends dealing with cancer. And what better way to support them.

Joy Bus is delightful! We've been going for years. We were worried when they switched chefs but the food is still very good. And the prices are great! The food is made with love and served with love by their awesome staff. It's a win win situation all around: delicious food at a great price all for a good cause. Does it get any better?

Wow breakfast was amazing. I have been wanting to try this place for years and I am now mad I didn't go sooner. Such a treat. My husband and I shared their special today, brisket with hash and rosemary roasted potatoes and their twist on biscuits and gravy. The gravy had turmeric in it and wow what a blast of flavor. After talking with the servers, you find out the story behind Joy bus . It really is a place where the community comes together to help feed cancer patients homebound while making wonderful food.

Apparently my husband has been here a million times without me, but I somehow managed to experience Joy Bus Diner for the first time a few weeks ago. It's a bit of a hole-in-the-wall, hidden away in a strip mall, and you really have to know where to look, which makes it hard to just stumble upon the place. What a gem, though! There's not many solid diners in Phoenix, but Joy Bus definitely qualifies. We experienced excellent service, diner coffee, and some killer entrees- try the chorizo and eggs or the breakfast burrito! Even better, Joy Bus is a nonprofit, so you're eating well and doing good at the same time.

Food and service were excellent. I had the biscuits and gravy and side of rosemary potatoes. Basic, but super yummy!
