They've got something for everyone here, the variety is much appreciated! My stepdad and I came for sushi, and my mom isn't that big of a fan of sushi, so she had these delicious truffle fries and buffalo wings that we all kept picking at. She was satisfied with her meal as my stepdad and I enjoyed shareable sushi dishes like the Trainwreck, the Rainbow Roll, and the Caterpillar roll. I also had seafood salad to start. Everything was super tasty and the fish was very light and tasted really fresh! The lava cake was smaller than we anticipated, but the fruit consome and super soft ice cream absolutely made up for it. So good! The place has a dimly lit stylish ambiance and I personally thought the ceiling was really neat, lol. Tons to look at in here. Our server Daisy was super nice and was very attentive, always on the look out for water refills. A bit pricy, but would visit again for the quality and variety of food.

If you have no idea where to go, this is the place for you because they have EVERYTHING! Happy hour heaven and waiting at those pearly gates is great service and food! Christina is the master at driving the bus to flavor town! She brings the energy, has the best suggestions, and is just great at her job. Ambiance is pretty good whether you're inside or outside.I've mostly had sushi here, but nothing is a miss! Salmon belly and yellowtail belly is my go to along with sake and a beer. Fish is fresh like they walked out to the pier to catch it that morning and delicious which means they probably hugged it before they cooked. Overall a great place and I highly recommend it.

10 of 10. Amazing Sushi and TapasIt's been awhile since a sushi place shocked me... this place is frick'n GREAT!!!! Every bite was fresh and delicious. I couldn't get enough. Specialty rolls are a little pricey but worth every penny. The tapas were so flavorful. Service was excellent. The decor was cool and they played great music. Overall amazing place that I will definitely come back to.

We came here for happy hour on a Sunday night. We got seated outside right away. The price is very reasonable for happy hour. The food and service were ok.

This place definitely surprised me!!! I was skeptical seeing a non-Asian at the sushi bar but the chirashi bowl I tried was good quality at the right price point. I was craving sushi but decided to go with the chirashi bowl to play it safe. All the fish were cut delicately and tasted fresh. We also tried the pork belly, which was really good! I highly recommend that appetizer. I also enjoyed their ribeye! All in all, everything was good and I'd definitely come back! This place is good for dates, something casual and fun occasions. Service was really good too! Very friendly staffs checked in regularly to make sure we were taken care of.Thanks guys! We will be back!!!

Great place to stop into for a nice happy hour. Tons of food and alcohol options for happy hour. Loved that they have Mate Maker kombucha! They also had Pliny the Elder when we went. The brussel sprouts were great, the salmon skin roll was okay. This was our second stop so we didn't try anything else. Would definitely return. Our waitress was super nice and attentive!

Dirty napkins, warm water, a sticky table, and a waitress who treated us like unwanted guests. Not to mention that the shrimp ceviche came out 20 minutes after the rest of the food and was room temperature and bland. I didn't eat it in fear that I'd get food poisoning. Mind you, there was only one other table of customers. There are so many other places to go in OB. I will not be going back here. This place should close down.

This place was so nice for a girls night out. The ambiance is wonderful for a night out & I liked the dimness of the lights and the decor. The menu has plentiful options for anything you could want, from sushi to burgers. The drink menu is very large too, with many different cocktail options. While I would say this place is slightly expensive, I do believe that the portion sizes fit the prices (at least for what we ordered!). Our server was very sweet and very attentive, and she helped with choosing items. I would definitely recommend trying this place out.

It's our weekly reset, our chance to decompress from the daily grind.The servers at The Joint are always so welcoming and accommodating, doting on Lola while keeping our glasses topped up. Despite being regulars, we're treated like honored guests every single time.Between the outstanding sushi, perfectly curated wine list, dog-friendly atmosphere, and consistently top-notch service, The Joint has truly become our happy place. It's the neighborhood gem that reminds us how lucky we are to call Ocean Beach home.Do yourself a favor and put The Joint at the top of your list for your next sushi and wine craving. I've been to a lot of sushi places in SD and this has to be the worst one I've ever been to. Not was the sushi not good , they were way overpriced. Only writing this review because it was THAT BAD :/
