Drinks - really really unique options here. I liked The Jilted Siren (the house cocktail) best, but we also tried The Giving Tree (hot), Harvest Americano, and Gibson's Garden. We liked them all but I think I'd probably only order The Jilted Siren again. The others are just very unique and not like an every time drink, but definitely a try it at least once drink! Food - the loaded tots were really good! Maybe a few less veggies and more tots but honestly they were super tasty. I really want to come back and try the udon because it looked good! They have several vegetarian options which is nice too (the loaded tots can come bacon on the side). Service - the servers were really helpful. They came around and checked in and bussed way more regularly than I would have expected for how busy they were. They also were super knowledgeable and had great recommendations and ideas in response to some of my questions. Ambiance - this place is quirky and I love it! It's got the nostalgic lava lamp and zappy globe on tables. It's got a dark, you might be underwater or hanging out in a shipwreck, look. Maybe a little too dark for me at times but that's probably more a review of my aging eyesight lol. Tables also have candlelight and the bathrooms have sea creature art and entertaining graffiti. The music was also on vibe. They also do trivia on Tuesdays and drag on Thursdays so I'll def be back for those!

One of the best new venues in Cap Hill. The drinks are unique, strong, and brilliantly curated. The owners have done a wonderful job finding flavors that accent the seasons and their menu. The food is also of note. The sliders and dumplings in particular are phenomenal. More than the food and drinks, I have to highlight the amazing service. My husband and I have always had a wonderful experience here. It feels like home, or a wonderful community --and a great place to enjoy food with friends. We even chose to host our friends and family here on our wedding weekend. The Siren is incredibly special. Join them for one of their movie nights, special events, or just a late-night bite.

Big thanks to Capitol Hill Seattle News (support them too!) for alerting me to this new bar opening. As a recent California transplant, I've been on alert for decent places to check out for a drink and snacks. The moment I peered through the front door and saw a giant mural of a siren with a fish hook nipple piercing, I knew I found a place for me.The inside of Jilted Siren was dimly lit but not dingy. Electric candles at each table provided intimate lighting for small groups having hushed or jovial conversations. When I first walked in, the lady at the bar said, "Grab any seat you want and we'll come to you." So the four of us did.As an enthusiastic foodie, I had a lot of feelings about the drinks and food at The Jilted Siren. First off I would say they're fun, eclectic ideas. But I still had questions and some suggestions. Questions like, why did your mixologist name things the way they did? What merited including vigne de peche in your signature cocktail, unless it was on a whim? I want to know the back stories, so please add some of them to your menu or website! I enjoyed both the Jilted Siren and Summer Daisy drinks as they were both strong and fruity, the way I like it. Especially Jilted Siren, which contained one of my drugs of choice, absinthe.Onto the food, and we managed to order many of the small plates. They were individually delicious but again, no apparent coherent theme which the menu could have been a place to provide some context - otherwise it feels jilted of rhyme and reason. A few other of my observations:- candy curried salted pork bites: chewy and sweet but wish they were bigger! They remind me of Cantonese char siu, which they could take a page from the book for. I thought the spray of microgreens was a nice healthy touch- pickle plate: love the variety! Personally I love a stack of well-brined cucumber slices, but would it hurt to throw some radishes and carrots in there too?- Moroccan frites: I would have preferred a lighter drizzle of the sauce over these delicious crispy fries, with extra sauce off to the side. If smothered and left too long, the fries get saturated and perhaps *too* flavorful, and yes that would be a thing for me- bitterballen: my favorite small plate of the night. The sweet chili sauce drizzle may have been better served in a soup bowl as the glaze stuck to the plate and wasn't easy to spread, but the sweet grilled mandarin served on the side was an unexpectedly delightful bonus for juicing up each bite- bumbu short ribs: honestly a little disappointed with this one. There wasn't much short rib to go around, and no hint of makrut lime to be found in the sauce. The accompanying waffle was a hash brown of a different form factor, tasty but nothing really special. The meat itself, from what I could get, was tender, chewy, and delicious- Peking duck house dumplings: as someone who comes from the land of champion Peking duck and dumplings, I didn't think these were stuffed and flavored as optimally as they could have been. But I was impressed by the skirt on each dumpling, as they take on sauce quite well- Polynesian fritters: yes, these are perfect the way they are! Crispy, nicely spiced, and picked up dipping sauce well in each bite- baklava: I can't say no to baklava, but a single serving can easily satisfy four, especially after eating all of the aforementioned. If the server recommends two to a person, I would refuse next timeAll in all, this was an awesome Friday evening low-key experience to have with friends. Both the conversations and the food & drink were rich, and I'll be excited to come back and see whether menu items rotate into something even more random next time.

I visited the Jilted Siren from out of town with friends. The staff was so friendly, the food was SO GOOD. We must have ordered one of everything! Chicken sliders, shrimp skewers, and the potato wedges (both ways) we're stand outs. This would be such a cute first date spot earlier in the evening, or a great chill place for a nightcap. Vibes were immaculate.

Would give this place 5/5 just for the service. Friendliest bartender I've ever had. The drinks were good and we appreciated having some NA options to choose from as well that were exciting. The theme was cool as well. Would definitely recommend checking this place out.

This neighborhood bar has been around for at least a year, and I am surprised that it does not get the buzz compared to other bars I have been that opened around a similar time. This bar is honestly a sleeping giant, and definitely very hole in the wall at the moment.I went here on a Sunday after dinner and it was not busy at all. Just walk in, show your ID at the bar, and seat wherever. You order at the bar, or I guess now, there are QR codes as an alternative. I decided to take a seat at the bar, marveling at the extensive collection of liquors on shelf. I got their signature Jilted Siren cocktail which had mezcal and absinthe. It tasted somewhat similar to some other cocktails I have had, but with a tad more sophistication. That may be because absinthe is a strong drink that could dominate the whole drink if not mixed well. My plan originally was to try 2 cocktails here, but I tapped out after 1 since the drinks were a bit stronger than I expected, which means that the value is up there, even though it was $18. One thing that could be improved was bartender-customer interaction. I won't ding a star since I did order via QR code and pay via Toast so I didn't need to flag anyone down, but at least checking up on the drink, etc would be more than welcome especially since I sat at the bar. Regardless, as seen in the other 5 star reviews and my experience, I would highly recommend this place.

Definitely try the food! We've tried the yakisoba and bulgogi beef and they were both very good. They are very creative with their spices which elevated both dishes and they were surprise hits. The cocktails are also great. I recommend the cold Giving tree. It's a really delightful cocktail. They also host a bunch of events (ex drag show bingo and water color painting classes) that are very fun. All in all, a great place to visit if you find yourself in Cap Hill!

The Jilted Siren is quickly becoming my favorite late night food spot around the Cap Hill/Olive & Denny area, perfect for snacks after a night of drinks at Montana bar or the other local bars. The 5-spiced wings and kaarage chicken sliders are so damn good. Excited to try the whole menu.TJS has a neighborhood bar feel to it and you get the sense that everyone there is having a great time--just good vibes all around.
