For me? this IS the best dog in Seattle. I have eaten here sober and completely drunk out of my mind and it's just as amazing each time.First off the vendors always crack me up, they are lively, entertaining, and so very kind. Now onto my dog: Give me my polish with cream cheese, grilled onions, peppers, sauerkraut, brown mustard and a touch of pickled relish. in fact, make it two, Why? because damn, they are WORTH it. Still the best, and still my favorite.

My boyfriend had the drunchies after going to Chop Suey.... the location of this stand was so convenient! He ordered the hot link, and oh my gosh, it was phenomenal! I wish I had ordered one for myself as well. It was spicy and hit the spot. SO GOOD. It was definitely better than the LA hot dog vendors that post themselves outside of Staples Center after Lakers games lol

The options are limited, but considering the clientèle this is probably for the best; Polish, hot link or tofurkey, with or without cream cheese and/or onions. I've had both the Polish and the hot link, and I plan to try the tofurkey next time around. The sausages are amazing; grilled to perfection and then split and grilled again when ordered. The sausages stay warm on a bed of grilled onions, which imparts them with a lovely flavor. The vendor has the air of a man that has seen it all and finds it hilarious, and he's more than willing to mess with you and have a good time.Condiments aplenty; various mustards, sauerkraut, relish, hot peppers, ketchup and even mayo. They'll dress the bun with cream cheese (not something I tend to enjoy) unless you explicitly say no, but it is done in the name of sausage evangelism, so I cannot really fault them. If you catch the vendor trying to sneak cream cheese onto your bun you get a wink and a smile, and street food is all about benevolent hucksterism.Just be careful of the hot peppers, for they are hot. Oh mercy are they hot. Delicious. But hot.

I'm surprised this place hasn't been Yelped yet...or maybe I'm not finding it easily. The hot dog here is probably one of the best I've ever had! And I can accurately judge because I was sober at the time, so no dull taste buds here. There's an option of a regular or spicy hot dog. I went with the regular since I didn't know how spicy the other one would be. Of course, I said "Yes" to both onions and cream cheese because those are the only reasons to have the hot dog in the first place. The onions were perfectly caramelized and the cream cheese was exactly the right amount. The hot dog itself was split and grilled on both sides...yum yum yum! Oh, and the bun was toasted/grilled.Also, they had quite an extensive array of condiments! I saw at least 3 kinds of mustard. I didn't want to ruin the hot dog/onion/cheese combo too much so I added just a smidge of honey mustard just to sweeten it up a bit. I want another one!

I love this spot so much. The dogs are big and filling and the perfect way to end a night out at Chop Suey.

This is my neighborhood, and I have hit them all, and this stand does the best dogs, the buns are the firmest (not that MY buns are being helped by the onions and creamcheese) and the quality is the most consistent of all the stands on the Hill.I load up the Spicy with the CreamCheese, Onions, Kraut, honey mustard and a little Rays BBQ Sauce. Has to be on my list of my last meals when the giant earthquake is going to flatten Seattle into a pile of rubble.Friday or Saturday night, the siren song of the tasty dog hits, and from my door, I can just about smell the grilling.Lucky my gym is across the street, an hour on the treadmill and I am just about back to neutral for this indulgence.

As far as hot dogs stands on Capital hill go, I think this one is the best and the one that looks cleanest. Besides, their brats are great! The guy working the stand is really cool, and must be a saint in order to deal with all the drunks that hit the spot throughout the night. He also always has some cool middle eastern music going for ambience. I'll have to agree with PL X, the condiments offered trum any one else's in the area. If you're in that general area and trying to take care of a an evening / late night munchy attack, this will DEFINITELY hit the spot and then some.

The dude working this stand is one of the coolest in the city. Always seems happy and the music he plays has sometimes had me and my friends ignoring what's going on in the club and listening to his stuff instead. The hot dogs come quick, the prices are fair, and condiments are aplenty. My personal favorite is a spicy dog with just cream cheese. It really does it for me. There's really no reason not to like going here.

The rudest hot dog stand we've ever been to! I understand they most likely deal with drunk jabronies, but the five of us just went for a local, quick late night bite around 1am. First off, the only sign they have is three photos of a polish dog, hot link, or vegan dog all with relish and onions. The first three order, then we ask for two polish dogs, one with no relish just onions, and the two guys get really defensive, and start mansplaining that we're ordering incorrectly, we should order a NAKED dog. Hands us one dog with no onions, and we say we want onions, and they go "Bro I should just be SERVING not EXPLAINING" and we're like ??? Whatever. One dog down, meat and onions only. Next one, we ask for one regular polish dog and they start yelling about a Seattle dog vs a Naked dog and we have to be clearer if we wanted cream cheese and they complain some more to us not knowing how to order and when was it ever this difficult to just order a $6 hot dog on a late Saturday night!?!? Not everyone likes cream cheese on their freaking hot dogs or knows the proper hot dog terminology we just want food!!! JFC....Needless to say, there doesn't seem to be anything particularly special about this one hot dog stand, out of the dozens within a square mile in Capitol Hill. Do yourself a favor and avoid getting lectured in how to properly order a hot dog and go get the same exact thing from any of the other stands, since they pretty much taste the same.
