I was in Federal Way for work, and saw that there was a Filipino restaurant nearby, so of course, I had to check it out. I don't often eat Filipino food, so am always excited when I find a new Filipino spot around. The Heritage Filipino Favorites, however, was not my favorite. I visited during the lunch hour on a weekday and the place had a few patrons dining in. It's located in a small business strip, so parking is easy to find and plenty. The restaurant isn't all that large, but there's enough space for groups. You order and pay at the counter then pick a spot to sit. At the counter where the food is, there were plenty of entrees to choose from, either as one or two-meat combinations with two scoops of rice or you can get the items a la carte. A lot of the options were pork-based. I chose the two-meat combination with the pork adobo and the bicol express. If you dine in, they have condiments, like calamansi sauce and chili oil to add some oomph. Nothing will ever be as good as mom's Filipino food, but I thought my combination was A-OK. My biggest complaint with the pork adobo was that most of the meat was fat, so had to cut a lot of it off. The Bicol express, which is one of my favorite Filipino dishes, was unfortunately, very bland. I was expecting a lot of coconut flavor and some spice as it normally has, but I tasted mostly pork. At least the meat was tender. It definitely needed something else to it.Overall, the food was satisfactory. I do like that there's a Filipino restaurant in the area, which we really need more of in the Seattle area. But I can't say I'd go out of my way to check this place out since there are other Filipino gems that are near this one and are much tastier.

Turo-turo style restaurant. Prices are reasonable. They have most of the popular Filipino dishes - adobo, dinuguan, crispy pata, etc. They also have halo-halo for desert. The taste overall isn't that great. I still prefer Fil-cuisine but it is farther from where I live. Whenever I'm craving for Filipino food and don't have time, I still go here. Staff's always friendly and prices are cheaper compared to other Filipino restaurants.

Compared prices and portions to filipino restaurants in the area, this place is more worth the money! The food is 'pili-pili' with a couple items that are made fresh to order. They have a lot more options and home style varieties of filipino cuisines compared to the other restaurants.1 item meal for $9.502 item meal for $12.50At first I thought it was pricey and my first glance at the portion were not amused. But once I was eating it, it was good. The igado reminded me of my dad and had the right flavors. The pinakbet was delicious, I enjoyed the veggies in both dishes. Helped cut the fat and added a fresh crunch.Moving from California, it's really hard to find good quality filipino food out here that matches the price point. The customer service was great and the guy was super nice and had a great conversation. Hopefully they will keep consistent hours unlike the restaurant before them.

First visit I ordered awesome crispy pata. Walked in a week later and ordered crispy dinuguan to go after reading rave reviews. What I got was the most clotted grainy dinuguan I've ever had in my life.

My dad brought me here for lunch on a Saturday. I will start off by saying I am part Filipino so I am a little particular about the food of my ancestors. That being said, my word... this place needs to be broadcasted to the world. It reminds me of every one of my aunties and my grandma. We got Bicol Express, Pinakbet, Lechon Kawali, Veggie Pancit, and one other dish (I forget the name but I go have a photo). My dad of course peer pressure me into scoops of rice on the side and a Ube Cassava Cake. This was a lot, we ate family style and took leftovers, but you can order a plate and there are so many other things to choose from. It's the kind of food that you can't stop eating, even when you're full and past full. There is an assortment of desserts prepackaged and a good variety of canned Asian drinks along with sodas and water. The decor is spot on, staff was very friendly and helpful, and parking was a breeze as no other businesses were open yet. If there's a line, I'd wait an hour to eat here.

I was on a roadtrip and stayed in Seattle for few days .I was able to satisfy all my cravings from this new filipino restaurant in Federal Way . The dishes were all delicious and very authentic Ilocano style cooking . The owners are very sweet and nice .The ambiance is really cool. So if you happen to be in the area ,this is a must try dining spot . I would definitely come back for their food. Especially the crispy dinuguan and Pork BBQ ....P.S ..But of course since it's almost summer and it's getting hot , I had to finish my meals with their very loaded Halo halo

A little hidden place on the side of a strip mall but DEFINITELY worth a stop if you are in the area. Has ample seating. Clean and neat but empty the day we went. Seemed to be more take out service at that time. They had several pre-made items to choose from in a cafeteria line setting but were out of some things since it was near closing (closes at 6 p). We choose a 2 entree combo meal which was such a great price! Served 2 light eaters just right. The meat was so tender. One dish was a bit oily but I think it added to the flavor. We needed more rice to sop up the great gravies and the nice serving person gave us a bowl at no extra charge. Not much in terms of veggies the day we were there. Halo halo was listed but we did not partake this visit. Have to go back!
