The Herb Box

Arrived for dinner on a Saturday night. Not busy at all. Plenty of parking. Found the restaurant easily. If you need wheelchair access, we seen signs for an elevator near the garage area. Otherwise it's all stairs going up to the entrance. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was great. I ordered the Urban Market Steak Salad. To my surprise, the steak was actually tender and easy to cut. It came with a nice Worcestershire sauce on top. Not quit an A-1 sauce taste but almost shy of it! I wonder if that's what they were going for? Hmm. The salad was refreshing and delicious. I'm not a gorgonzola kinda gal but I was able to manage a few of the stinky cheese bites. Enjoyed the candied walnuts for texture. Overall, decent place to grab a bite to eat. I'd try other things on the menu for next time. Oh save room for dessert because we weren't able to. The restaurant has a nice glass case with a few choices of carrot and chocolate cakes, cookies and cupcakes. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Clean bathrooms as well! Enjoy!

It wasn't busy at 7:20 PM on a Saturday, our party of two was seated immediately. There's underground parking and a lot out front.I ordered the blackened shrimp avocado Baja bowl. It was a big portion, I only ate half. The shrimp was a bit too salty, I had to chase each bite with water and the sweet potatoes. My wife liked her steak salad, said the meat was tender. Aubrey was our server. Can she read minds? I was thinking about how I'd like more water. A minute later my glass was topped off. After stuffing myself and tapping out I thought about taking the leftovers home. Seconds later I was asked "Can I get you a box?"Decent ambiance. It was clean and visually appealing, but a bit warm and stuffy inside.

I recently dined at The Herb Box and, to be honest, I left feeling like I might have missed something. While the ambiance was undeniably upscale and the service was top-notch with an awesome and attentive server, the food left much to be desired.Starting off with the positives, the Brussels sprouts appetizer was a hit. Crispy and flavorful, though a tad too oily for my liking, I'd definitely reorder them if I found myself back there.Here is where things took a downturn. I ordered the albacore tuna salad sandwich with sweet potato chips. The tuna was like flavorless mush, falling apart with every bite. And those sweet potato chips? They were sad, limp, and lacked any crunch whatsoever. It was like they forgot to fry them or something. Total letdown, especially considering the price.My friend's wrap fared slightly better in terms of taste, but it was folded in such a way that eating was impossible and messy, with everything spilling out from the bottom.Observing the other diners, it seemed many were there more for the drinks and conversation rather than the food, which might explain the lackluster culinary experience. While the decor and atmosphere were undoubtedly appealing, for me, a restaurant experience is primarily about the food, and in that regard, The Herb Box fell short.

We went for Brunch today and had an awesome experience at this restaurant! From the fresh food to live music, our server Aubrey was super friendly and helpful with finding us some new favorites! My husband had the steak and eggs breakfast and I had the butternut squash enchiladas! Both were incredible, definitely be back!

Such a cute spot for brunch with your vegan and non veggie friends! The decor is beautiful and very spacious. I went on a brunch date with pookie and enjoyed our meal and the vibe. We started off with a couple of mimosas and I indulged in some yummy tacos! I like to eat something sweet after savory, so I spoiled myself with a chocolate chip cookie from their bakery. The size of the cookie is so big and definitely sharable!I am looking forward to trying more items from their brunch and lunch menu! see you soon!

A buddy and I went in for a casual lunch. We opted to sit on the back patio, which was nicely covered with umbrellas. The restaurant is in a high foot traffic area in Old Town Scottsdale but on the back patio you feel secluded. The menu and drink selection for lunch were plentiful. The items we got were tasty and good portion size. The service was fun and attentive and without any issues.

I've been going for quite some time to the new location. A friend and I meet there for lunch periodically and I've been with my husband on many occasions. I've almost always liked the food. It has options for vegetarian, if you need that. Today we noticed the cost of a simple Arnold Palmer was $7.00! My friend asked a manager about it. He said the owner said it's a local place in Tempe they get the Tea from and justify the price.The food prices are already very high for what you get. My husband and I have eaten out lunch and dinner daily for years, no joke. We have never paid anywhere near $7.00 for an Arnold Palmer and it's almost all I drink. I was looking for an event location for an upcoming large group get together and that crazy price will keep me away. My gf and I said before we left, lots of places in Scottsdale to go that don't charge those prices. We will be going to one of those next time.

Modern atmosphere with unique dishes. All that we tried was pretty good, but you'll find that the menu is a bit limited in both food options as well as drinks. Service seemed a bit slow, especially since our group was the only table seated for most of our dinner. Still not bad to try if you're looking for a good vegan option.

The service is great. Vibe is great, loved the indoor and outdoor seating. Price is a bit too pricy compared to the amount and quality of food.
