Recently came to The Gundis for brunch and had a great experience! I walked in on a Sunday at 11 without a reservation and was told it would be 15 minutes for a table for 2, not bad at all.Once seated, we decided to get the Kurdish breakfast with the veggie egg scramble. Along with the scramble we got a variety of cheeses, jams, olives, bread, fries, tomatoes/cucumbers, fried cheese rolls and tea! I also ordered Turkish coffee and it was delicious, but definitely on the strong side, so beware. It was such a big spread for only about $55-60 for two! Definitely worth the money. This was such a fun and unique brunch that I definitely enjoyed. However, I don't know how often I'd come back for brunch. I'd love to try their dinner options though.Definitely recommend if you're looking for a unique brunch meal!

Food: very flavorful, although my Kurdish friend says it's more Turkish food than Kurdish (they are neighbors). I would say the baklavas are the most different. Ambience: elegant settingService: very attentive service. The servers are Turkish haha, giving a touch of authenticity to the Middle East restaurant.

My friend and I came to The Gundis for lunch and they were thankfully still serving their Kurdish Breakfast. The breakfast came with these fried cheese rolls that look like spring rolls and they were soooo good, along with some fresh bread. There was a variety of spreads as well including butter, jam, olives, honey, and I think sesame butter. All of the jams were incredible! There were also fries and a variety of cheeses. We got the spicy tofu scramble which was really good, but the spread was my favorite part. Everything paired so well together. The waitstaff were all attentive and super friendly. Also, had around $55-$60 I believe for two people, you get a ton of food for the price!

We keep coming here almost every weekend because it's a very solid neighborhood type spot. Over the years the service can miss in a few areas, but overall it's an enjoyable experience with delicious food. There are some really lovely staff members here while others don't show any emotion lol but it's all fine.

We went for brunch and got the breakfast for two. The food came out very fast and everything was pretty delicious. I loved the spread of jams and olives the most. The service was also quick and friendly. We went around 11 on a Saturday and it wasn't busy then. A decent amount of seating as well.

My sister and I visited The Gundis to celebrate a special occasion. Our reservation was on a Saturday morning and the restaurant was very busy, but the ambiance was comfortable and service was attentive. We shared the Kurdish breakfast for two and it was exceptional. We loved the variety and the balance between freshness and richness. We left full and satisfied. I would highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

I didn't even know what Kurdish cuisine was but now I'm a huge fan!The lamb shank was one of the best lamb shanks I've had in the states. (The Best was in Greece.) The meat just fell right off the bone. I could've used a butter knife or just my fork! It was so flavorful and juicy, and the rosemary sauce was perfectly fragrant without being overpowering. The bed of mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and a perfect match to the delicious lamb! My partner had the stuffed chicken with goat cheese and spinach which was also lovely. We rarely order chicken when we go out bc it tends to be dry but the chicken at Gundis was perfectly juicy and flavorful. The two starters we had were grilled halloumi cheese and the baba ganoush. Both were tasty but we were definitely blown away by our mains!Service was on point and the restaurant had a warm and welcoming vibe, like we were at a big family get-together. This is one of our new faves and we're sure to be back for more lamb!!

I visited The Gundis Kurdish Kitchen on Saturday for Kurdish breakfast and had a wonderful experience. We made reservations online and were seated promptly upon arrival. We ordered the Kurdish breakfast platter, and I have say, everything was incredibly fresh and flavorful. The food was delicious, and the service was impressively efficient despite the busy morning. While the quality and flavor were outstanding, I did feel the prices were a bit on the high side. Nonetheless, I will definitely be back to satisfy my Kurdish breakfast cravings.

Got the breakfast for 2 (soujouk scramble) and it was great! There are a lot of dipping sauces but half of them are jam and/or condiments. The scramble was tasty, would recommend it because without the spice it probably would t be super flavorful. Wish we could've swapped the fries for something else. Nice clean and modern interior and very attentive staff

I had an excellent meal at Gundis, but the main thing I wanted to note in my review was how accommodating this restaurant is for gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan diners. My date and I shared the grilled halloumi- they brought grilled gluten free bread separately for me. I also enjoyed the eggplant stew. The menu notes that fries can be prepared in a separate frier for those with gluten allergies, and dishes with gluten are clearly marked on the menu. I'm not vegetarian but about half of this menu is!My meal was delicious and the ambience was relaxing.
