I came in for Monday lunch and partook of the old fashioned patty melt. It was excellent and cooked fresh to order. My service was friendly and nice so a good gratuity was left. Potato salad was made from scratch and delicious! Patty melt tasted like my mom use to make. I've passed this place in the past but today I tried it out. I sat on the patio on God's great sunny day so cannot comment on the inside but from all indications it looks like a bar with TV's good place to watch sports, etc. Bottom line- good place to eat.

This place is your typical sports bar vibe. TV's are every where with sports playing in the background but don't let the rating fool you, the food is pretty dang good here. My Dad and I came through here after searching for another spot which was overcrowded and it turned out to be a good thing. I ordered. The Grove Burger and he got the wings and shrimp. Great portions, the wings and shrimp weren't skimpy either, there was plenty of meat on them. All good signs to return here soon

Mark and I dine here sporadically because it's convenient to our house and the food is a crowd pleaser for everyone in our group.Parking is free and easy if you arrive early. The indoor dining area is dark and tavern like with tables and wooden booths. It was freezing cold outside and we enjoyed being seated in a booth towards the back. Televisions are mounted around the dining area making it easy to watch a variety of sports with the volume at a reasonable level.Service can sometimes be a little slow but the crew is always friendly. On this visit I ordered the crab cakes and Mark ordered the grouper sandwich fried. We also enjoyed the wine and cocktails which were good and reasonably priced. My crab cakes were decent and a little bland however the provided dipping sauce spiced them up and my fries were hot and delicious and the coleslaw was cool and crisp. Mark loved the grouper sandwich and his delicious tater tots.We like this place for casual dining and can show up in track pants and casual after doing chores at home.

What we enjoyed most about The Grove was the outdoor patio and the service. The food is your standard bar fare. We split a cheesesteak and an order of the sliders, with fries and tater tots as the sides. It was about a 15 minute wait for the patio in the early evening on a Saturday. We probably wouldn't come here to dine indoors especially because we don't care about watching sports, which this place seems to be known for. The food is reasonably priced, they have an okay selection of beers, and convenient parking, making it a decent neighborhood joint.

Food, drinks and service is always great here. Ambiance is a great neighborhood bar/restaurant. The focus here is quality at a fair price unlike most of these new Instagrammable restaurants out here in Atlanta.

Great neighborhood spot for a game day. Love the local feel of this place. Tons of TVs and they play the game sound so its a definite go to for watching sports. They have a large menu, but I have to admit I'm rarely coming here for a dinner out or to sample the food. For me, I'm grabbing an app or two, having a beer and watching the game. The bar area is always packed out but not to worry, the booths and seating areas have plenty of TVs and great service as well.

The seven of us, two couples in their 30's, one 60-ish couple, and one three-yr. old just had an early dinner this afternoon (between 4 & 5 PM) at The Grove Restuarant and Tavern on Lavista in Decatur. Erin seated us and Ramsay helped us order our meal. First off, the staff, Erin & Ramsay, made us feel welcome and comfortable. You could easily see these two pleasant Ladies excelled in their positions at The Grove. Ramsay anticipated our needs if we required any assistance whatsoever. We ordered the pretzel sticks appetizer, clam chowder, pasta salad, 2 Grove Chicks, 2 Classic burgers, the Grouper sandwich, Black-bean burger, and a kids mac & cheese with fruit side for my granddaughter. Hats off to the kitchen staff, the food was fresh, hot, & delicious, and served very quickly by a nice young man wearing a Furman hat (even though i'm a Georgia Southern fan, i must say he did an excellent job of quickly & professionally delivering our food). Our leftovers filled 3 takeout boxes! It was the first visit for several in our party. We are coming back and would recommend The Grove to Anyone... in a heartbeat! Thank you again Erin & Ramsay, yall made our night.

When I'm back in town I go to my neighborhood bar, The Grove, order chicken wings, extra crispy with a homemade blue cheese dip and it's delicious. I come in here to get my vex and I'm very happy thank you to the staff and the cooks. You're awesome.

We went for a late lunch. Upon setting at the table we noticed it was sticky and dirty. We pointed it out to server who made a flippant remark. We had the grouper sandwich. It had a strong fishy taste. The sweet potato fries were burned. I did not feel well after eating and was up at 4am with horribly upset stomach. This is a definite pass!
