This place is disappointing. It embarrassed me to bring my friends here: there was a Korean server with short curly hair who had to have an attitude towards everything I or my two friends said! First criticizing us that we had the grill on too hot, when the server was the one who put the heat on that direct number! Second telling us that we need to tell her all the choices we wanted to eat - all at once, since she "didn't want to come back and forth". Third, when my friend asked for ssamjang, Korean bean paste, she got furious and said "why don't you ask for this in the beginning?!" Lastly, my other friend wanted a Korean sauce and she was upset at us again! My two friends are not Korean btw, so just imagine. At one point I actually couldn't even ask her for help and decided to get my own water, hot tea, napkins, chopsticks by myself. What was super disgusting was her taking away our pork belly dish when we had only bbqed 3 strips (there were 3 raw ones left on the dish). The last time I checked, you leave all meat and don't take it to the back of the kitchen once served. Mind you, there was no one at this restaurant at 730pm on a Thurs night. At the end I had to ask the server if she was the owner because of the amount of pettiness she put us through. I have no desire going back, and if this helps, I rarely write 1 star reviews.

1/25/2024 Dinner Visiting the area and my friend who was visiting as well was craving for Korean BBQ. We had a function nearby and decided to search for a place and this place popped up in Yelp. We decided since it had 4 stars, why not.Parking was ample. Walked in, at peak of dinner time and the place was quiet with 2 other tables taken. We got seated right away. Food was okay, our favorite was the Brisket and short ribs. Typical sides were included except they didn't have potato salad and rice paper. Maybe only in California. Service, she was nice. But you have to flag her down to request for more meat. I hate when a restaurant is not busy and we have to call someone to be served. For $41, I expected to have other menu items be part of the All-You-Can-Eat, but nope, all separate. So that was a bummer. I've had KBBQ pretty frequently and most of the time; when they say All-You-Can-Eat, it means "ALL". Would we come back, probably not. Not for $41.

If you're like me, you're always looking for a good (KBBQ) Korean BBQ place; especially all you can eat! While Lakewood has plenty of Korean restaurants, there aren't many all you can eat KBBQ ones. This place has changed hands quite a bit in a short amount of time; so you may already be familiar with the location. I know service can be hit or miss at these establishments but we had great service. If you have read any of my other reviews, you'll know I'm not huge on service being a priority; I just want amazing food. So if service is your thing, don't rely on my review on that lol! Service was a bit slow and it wasn't busy; but again, probably due to new ownership and figuring things out. We were able to call her over so not a big deal. And as the evening went on, service got better. They're fantastic about setting up your grill, changing it out etc. Okay more important stuff - FOOD! We got the large seafood along with the all you can eat. We had 5 people. Okay the large was a LOT of seafood and unless you are prepared to REALLY grub, don't do both haha. She was very sweet. She boiled the leftover seafood so we could take it home. I've been too a lot of KBBQ places and this place hands down, best short ribs and brisket I have ever had. SO good.

The Grill was recommended by another Korean restaurant that I frequent. So, I thought I would give it a try. And I am glad I did. I ordered gamjatang, a spicy soup with pork and potatoes. It was delicious! The pork was fresh, flavorful, and fall off the bone tender. The soup was rich with umami. And the side dishes were fantastic too. I especially enjoyed their freshly made kimchi and eggplant. There are Korean restaurants where service can seem rude and lacking but not at The Grill. The waitresses were friendly, attentive, and pleasant. It was a pleasurable dining experience. I would definitely go back!

The name says grill, but what they excel at are the traditional Korean dishes - kimchee jiggae, eundaegu jorim, naengmyun, etc. We've had the grill too but it's hard to distinguish one Korean bbq place from another. What makes this place stand out is the traditional Korean dishes and their excellent service.

Saw this restaurant being promoted on instagram reels, went to try it out and do not recommend. The food was mid, for $41 per person with an hour max you can be there. They don't offer any sides to the package it's just strictly rice and meat. When it came time to check out we split the bill among 3 people and they were adding extras when I tired asking why it was that price they hurried me and just said to pay and did not give me a receipt. I paid for me and my husband the total was $149... would not recommend for the basic meat/service.

Been to The Grill twice now and I can finally say I am a FAN. I have had a lot of KBBQ and I can say this is probably by far my favorite place to go to in Lakewood! The selection isn't as big as other places but they have decent choices, and it is pretty pricey but they make up for it with good quality meats. We got a lot mostly LA Kalbi, Beef Belly, Brisket, and Pork Belly. Kalbi was very delicious and tender with a nice marinade, and our personal favorite the brisket and beef belly was fatty and tasty! This is probably my favorite KBBQ spot to eat side dishes as well. Their kimchi is my favorite! It isnt sour but it's very savory and has a really good spice. Would definitely come here again for their friendly service and good quality KBBQ!

Arrived here around 3pm on a Thursday and there was no wait! The place has open parking and easy to locate. The majority of the staff spoke and understood English for those worried about any communication barriers. They are currently updating their all you can eat selection. The selection they currently have is good and delicious. One thing I like about them is that they pay attention of portion control. They would rather give you "enough" than give you a standard portion and have you worry about any leftovers. Quality meat. Quality service. Fun fact. AYCE dinner is $41 for dinner, but you get either a bottle of soju, beer, or 2 free soft drinks! It's nothing to brag about, but that's $6-10 for free compared to other competitors. Will come back again. Plus the ambiance is well spaced out and ventilation is great!
