The Godfather Diner

Such a cute little local spot. Very friendly service, very good food, and great sized portions. I have family that lives near lemon grove and likes to support our local businesses. They love their food. And now I do as well. I have had their BLT on wheat with onion rings and it was very good, huge rings! I guess I chose a good cheat meal! Their burritos are huge and if you look at the prices they are much better than our taco shops now. I love to support local/ mom n pop/POC businesses as much as possible. Especially here in LG. This city has grown so much and is finally on the map with some recognized restaurants, so definitely come and support this place next time you're craving some comfort food and great service. They're very thankful and always are appreciative for supporting. And they're open till 3! Most of these spots close around 12-1.

Gosh I went here 2 weeks ago and I can't find the pictures of our amazing breakfast! Our food was fresh and delicious.The service was great, attentive and always with a smile.This is definitely an old school diner set up and I loved it! I was in town visiting friends and I recommended The Godfather Diner based off the Yelp reviews. We enjoyed it! Looking forward to the next time m!

This place has a fitting name. It's a family run business and it shows because they are definitely cooking from the heart. I had the machaca breakfast burrito, and let me tell you, their machaca is not like everyone else. It has a little read chile in it, as a result, it offer a red color similar to chorizo. At any rate, the burrito was not only large but packed with delicious flavors and textures. I loved it. The house prepared beef was abundant and tender. It was lightly seasoned but got most of its flavor, not only from the natural beef flavor, but from the red chile sauce cooked into the beef. It was delicious. The burrito also came with scrambled eggs and some onions. The only thing that I did not notice was the green peppers in the mix. The flour tortilla was very good too, and so were the house hot sauces that they offer. Service was very friendly and welcoming. They offer breakfast and lunch. They are closed on Mondays.

Amazing food and awesome diner atmosphere. I came here with my family and had an amazing experience. We where waited on right away and the food came out delicious and quick, it's cooked right in front of you and everything was fresh. We definitely recommend this place

Happy Sunday ! Tried out the godfather diner for the first time & it was delicious ! Service was amazing , our girl Roxy helped us out today ! She is the coolest girl ever , very friendly & made us feel like family . Cool spot & i would definitely be back ! Family owned spot , i loved it !

I love this tiny hole in the wall restaurant. The owner is very welcoming and the food is always fresh. I'm talking about cooked to order Fresh. The grill is Right There so you can watch the owner/chef prepare your food while you wait I always go for the Ham/egg/hashies/cheese breakfast burrito course I always add beans to it.It's Delicious and MASSIVE!The Pancakes, menudo, omelets are tasty as well.Check out THE GODFATHER in Lemon Grove. It a tiny, well hidden, gem of a place that's Worth searching for

This was my first time coming to his diner and it was delicious. The service was friendly, and attentive. The food was delicious, fast and presented nicely! I really enjoyed the diner style set up they chose and on top of that, it was very clean!!! 10/10 recommend visiting and supporting this SMALL business

My girlfriend and I have been meaning to try this place out and we finally did! Off top the service was awesome, the owners are friendly and the size of the restaurant makes it intimate. Big groups are tricky but we called ahead and they accommodated our group of 7. Food was delicious, my girl got the breakfast sampler which was a classic breakfast and it was great regardless of it being a simple choice. Everything was cooked nicely and the pancakes were warm, fluffy, and yummy. I decided on the green chilaquiles with carne asada and they were a good choice; carne asada was flavorful, tortillas were fried in house, and beans were a great addition. They could have used a bit more green sauce though. My mom's got the chorizo omelette (which I was looking at too) and it was fire; the chorizo was bomb and the other toppings made it pop! Definitely coming back!

I love a good diner experience and The Godfather was everything I was hoping for. Friendly amazing service, delicious breakfast and cozy atmosphere with grandma's receipts bringing the charm and of traditional Mexican breakfasts right to your table.

Amazing food & the service was phenomenal! We got there a little under an hour before they closed, so it was empty. The greeted us right away & took our order, & watched them cook our bfast :) they were very quick & the food was delicious! Their portions are very generous as well & prices are nice. Definitely check them out if you're in the area.
