The Glade Diner

Visited The Glade Diner in Gladeville, TN for the first time. Ordered the Patty Melt with fries. Both were wonderful. The burger was perfectly grilled and served hot. A friend ordered the philly cheesesteak which also looked delicious. A small family diner with friendly staff, a casual atmosphere, and of course, delicious and reasonably priced food. I'll be back!

Hands down the best food I've had in my life... service was amazing. Food was in perfect portions, I wish I lived closer (I'm from LA). I'm so happy I tried this place. 10 out of 5 stars. I'm so happy and impressed. Thank you

What a hidden little gem tucked away in Gladeville! I grew up in a small town and this place reminds me of the local diner back home. As soon as you walk in the door, the smell of fried chicken penetrates your nose, clothes, and hair!We were greeted by our server and told to take a seat anywhere we like. She was very attentive and filled up our drinks several times. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich with fries, my husband got the special of the night - meatloaf with 2 sides and cornbread. And our 14 year old got a bacon cheeseburger with fries.Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures because we were starving. But, I'll be back again! Please note that they are closed on Saturdays and Sundays.

The food was delicious! Hamburger steak with gravy, onions & mushrooms, mac and cheese, turnip greens, fried okra and corn bread. The okra could've been fried just a tad less, it was kind of crunchy, but overall it was all still delicious!Cute little restaurant, very country like. Reason for the 3 stars and not 5 stars is I literally felt like the unwelcomed step child here. The server never came over to my table after delivering my meal. At first I was the only customer and then a regular came in and sat down. The server sat down with what I believe was maybe the husband of the cook and she started eating. They sat at the table next to the regular customer and just started chatting. The cook (maybe owner) came over and started chatting with them as well. I literally felt like I was sitting at a family gathering where I wasn't invited. It was a very unwelcomed and awkward feeling.I would still recommend this place for the food, but with a warning about service not being what one would expect from a small comfy looking place like this.

Do you believe that a sandwich can improve your day? No matter if you answered yes or no, you owe it to yourself to try the burgers made at the Glade Diner. Made one at at time with care, you WILL taste the difference from the first bite!The servers are as sweet and down home welcoming as they can be, and that just adds to the positive atmosphere here at The Glade.Reasonable prices too! I would suggest when you are in the area, to give them a try.I wish that I could have justified having a slice of pie for dessert, it looked fantastic.

Meat and Two diner with daily specials (weekdays only). Not open for breakfast. Pretty good comfort food.

We so enjoyed our early Mother's Day dinner here! Absolutely scrumptious, great portions of southern home cooked food and desserts! Really quaint and enjoyable atmosphere along with awesome service and very friendly. We felt right at home! Our new great find!

Great food and service. Mostly country cooking, stir fry is delicious, nice menu. Will definitely revisit.

Finally tried Glade Diner after driving by it for a while. Went 2 days in a row. First day, I had a cheeseburger and fries. While I was waiting, a lady dropped of an order of fried mushrooms and asked "did I want these", YUUP and glad I did. They were good. Very large portion of fries and the burger was good. Honestly, I've had a better burger but it was fine. I however, have never had chicken & dumplings as good as I had the 2nd day. OMG, incredible meal. The mashed potatoes were (I believe?) real and the fried okra was again, the best I've ever had. Cornbread was special as well. Split a piece of peanut butter pie and it too was homemade and very good. I cannot recommend this place any higher, it will be a definate every time I am in that area. Especially Wednesdays=dumplings
