Here for a wedding and it was definitely a geat venue for a wedding. Very rustic yet charming feel/look to the place. They had a few different areas that we were in. One where we had the reception then another where we had the cocktail hour, then back to the reception area for dinner and then they opened up a dance floor/bar/cake area.

Best venue and staff in all of Greater Seattle. That is a large claim to make - but I am certain it is the most valid statement as well. I had my wedding at the Foundry in November, 2013. My husband and I looked at venue after venue, and the second we walked into the Foundry, we knew it was "the one". Everything about it was breathtaking - the space, the decor, the lighting, the upgraded chairs, linens and place settings at base price (where to get those at other venues, you were paying an arm and a leg). The ease of planning and working with the staff was something I had never experienced before - and I come from a family that specialized in service in the business world. Every staff member that I emailed, would always email me back that same day answering every question of mine. Anytime I made last minute changes (which happened a lot), every last detail was taken care of. The staff (I worked specifically with BJ and Michelle) genuinely wanted to make sure I got everything I dreamed of, and gave me things to think about that most people wouldn't bring up to a bride because it would make for more work on behalf of the staff. Now the food was to DIE FOR. We went with salmon and steak for 165 people, and every guest I spoke to said they have never had that good of food at a wedding before. Every piece of steak and salmon was perfectly cooked and at a very high quality. On the day of, Michelle acted as the Day of Coordinator, and made sure everything fell into place timing wise. Every detail was spectacular - and if I had the time, I would write a novel on every aspect of the integrity, quality of service, and professionalism that Herban Feast provides. If you have your wedding at the Foundry, you will not be disappointed. The Foundry at the team at Herban Feast has my HIGHEST level of recommendation. If you have any further questions about this venue/catering company or want to see photos from my wedding at the Foundry, please feel free to email me and I would love to tell you more about my [email protected]

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at The Foundry and had a perfect experience from start to finish. We had the pleasure of working with Natalie to help coordinate our wedding. She was so responsive, helpful, and made sure we got everything we wanted on our big day. The food was delicious and we had guests commenting on it all night. The entire HF staff was wonderful, quick to get food out, and so polite to us and our guests. I cannot say enough how amazing it was to have a full service vendor - they did EVERYTHING. It made the planning much easier and stress-free! We worked with their in-house Herban Design Studio for the majority of our decor & floral. Amy & Rebecca did an amazing job bringing our vision to life. Everything looked absolutely perfect and just the way I had always imagined. Thank you to the entire HF & HDS team for making our day flawless!!

I had my wedding here and it was spectacular. First of all, the venue is gorgeous and unique. Although Sodo Park is really popular, I think the Foundry provides a better experience. Guests transitioned from room to room so they were never bored. Each room has its own distinct character and purpose. We had one room for cocktail hour, another for dinner, one for cake/dancing, and a "fun" room with the photo booth and guestbook. We also had a back suite which I could escape to freshen up, or where our guests could bring their kids if they needed some quiet space. The food was absolutely amazing. And I like how the Foundry helped me eat! They brought the whole wedding party a plate of appetizers when we arrived and delivered plated meals to my husband and I. All my friends never ate at their weddings, so I feel lucky I got to enjoy the good food.I cannot commend Martha, our events coordinator, enough. She is SO experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful. She was really calm throughout the planning, which was nice to have amidst all the craziness. I definitely recommend this venue!

This is a great space/venue. I can see why people get married here. Though the space is urban, it has many natural aesthetics to it, which make the rooms airy and more open. The bathroom is a fair size and is right off the hallway, and nearby was the photo booth for the event I went to here; so there was enough space for people to form a line, mingle and get pictures taken. There were two huge rooms open for the event that was adjacent to one another, making the pathway an easy flow. The only negative I have is that there was limited parking, since the parking lot is not very big. Especially since it was very rainy the day I came here, it was inconvenient to have to park a few blocks away. But all in all, it's a nice space.

This review only applies to an evening corporate event, so this is not a complete review.I went as my sister's plus one to her company holiday (yes very late) party and found The Foundry to be a beautiful location. I love the fireplace that was much needed for warmth that late at night, the self-check coat racks, and the wine bottles and wine barrels that served as decor in the different hallways. There is a lot of warm wood and earth tones, creating a formal and elegant atmosphere. The staff were professional and nice, quietly refilling trays and clearing tables. I thought the barrels topped with glass sheets that served as tables for people to stand around were chic and fit in with the theme. The bartenders were quick to serve and friendly. Would love to see it during the daytime!

This venue is absolutely fabulous! I actually came here for an event when it was Urban Enoteca about a year or so ago. But my visit this time was to check out the space for our corporate holiday party location. They have several room options and are willing to accommodating just about anything you could possible think up. For our group we are just looking to have a straight forward holiday shin dig. We really liked the upscale and modern look of the venue. They have some really cool room set up options since the bars in the main large room are all movable so really possibilities are endless. If you had been here prior to the new ownership then everything should be familiar since I really don't think much changed. We decided that we definitely want to have the event here, which will be about 75 people give or take and can't wait!

What a beautiful venue for a special event, wedding, banquette, whatever... The space is gorgeous, clean, & spacious! The staff were wonderful, professional and well trained. Everything for our event ran quite smooth. And the food was delicious. There's really nothing negative to say!

One of SODO's best kept secrets! (SODO = "south of downtown", for those not from Seattle.) This is a large private event space with delicious food and top notch staff. I attended a gala fundraiser event here, and was impressed with the layout and flow. First off, there is ample off-street parking... something you'll be hard-pressed to find pretty much anywhere in Seattle. (Note that it is a gravel lot, underneath the 1st Ave overpass.) The building itself is an old warehouse space, but they have a beautiful lobby/greeting area which transitions you to a completely renovated floor plan, with five distinct rooms which can be configured in a variety of ways. There is no view or outdoor area, but a "floating fountain" and lots of beautiful wood trim give the interior an outdoorsy feel. The food was great, provided by the in-house Herban Feast catering staff. The venue hosts open houses periodically; if you're interested in booking an event here, or are just curious, check their website for information.

From the get-go, I was so impressed with The Foundry. I initially spoke to Matt, and we were lucky enough to continue to have him as our event coordinator. I reached out to *so* many venues, and this was the only one that gave me a truly detailed breakdown of everything and a really good idea of what it would look like to have our wedding there. When we toured the space, we knew we found the right spot. It's beautiful inside and there's a lot of great features and room. We had a 185 person guest list, and our final count day-of was 127. There was PLENTY of space for everyone, and there would have been with our original count as well.Matt was so accommodating with us. He really took the time to work with us and help us customize our wedding. His response time was always quick, and I really appreciated the continual clarity with everything. The Foundry is run by Herban Feast, which means catering and the bar is all in-house. Initially, I was a little worried how this would affect the cost. And I'll admit, when I first saw the numbers, I was a little scared. But honestly, this was a crazy good value. The per person price for food was actually a lot lower than a lot of other places, and the food was seriously fantastic. In terms of the bar, they really worked with us and let us do a lot fo customization, which was awesome. In the long run, I was so grateful to not have to worry about food or booze and just let them work their magic! While we didn't do an individual tasting, Herban Feast has open houses for each season, and I was able to taste most of the menu items then. And yes, everything I had was delicious, and our selections were great on the day of the wedding as well.Overall, we were so happy to get married here and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who wants a pain-free planning process. If you're getting married in the summer, it also doesn't hurt that they have AC!
