The Food Shoppe

This location at Spire Midtown is one of two locations in Atlanta, the other being in Downtown. Tried the creole chicken pasta and wings. Service was friendly. I walked in to pick up my order and they offered a free main of my choosing to hear my feedback. Did not take them up on the offer. Unfortunately the food was on the saltier side and the wings could use a dipping sauce. Would still return to check out the rest of the menu to give it another try.

The bread pudding is amazing! 10/10. The voodoo chicken and mac is rich and creamy, but a little salty. Service is excellent. I got my order to-go, so I don't know what dine-in service is like, but they were courteous and packed my food up well.

this place was absolutely incredible! my boyfriend and I visited on a Friday night, and we were very surprised that not many people were in there we were greeted by a very enthusiastic employee. I forgot to ask his name, but he was truly amazing - he helped us order and each dish. the inside is cozy, but we wanted to sit outside on the nice patio area. it was delicious! my personal favorite would have to be the voodoo jambalaya (sweet and spicy) and of course the gumbo. the pasta was good and calmed down the heat from the other dishes. very good and would definitely come back!

Wow! Their gumbo is out of this world. You've gotta try it. And the bread pudding. Are you kidding me?!?! I'll definitely be back. Hera had a blast on the patio too.

Great food at a good price. We stop here every time we get a chance to while visiting downtown Atlanta.

I have been twice within the week. Service has been so bad that there will never be a third. First visit, online order. They say 15 minutes for an order. I get there 20 minutes after ordering. Sorry it's not ready. 10 minutes later, they pack my order and forgot the new orleans sausage burger. So now I wait for that and I'm told they don't have it, just a regular burger. Ok, that's fine. Total wait time for my order - 40 minutes. The place was empty.Second visit partially my fault. Labor day weekend. No signs on the door. No phone to call. Takeout tablets are taking orders. I order breakfast and dessert from this establishment. 20 minutes later I get to the restaurant and they are closed. No signs or anything. Today, I have been calling all day and the phones dont work. I get to the restaurant and the gentleman is more concerned with cleaning the window then taking care of me. He said they he sees all the orders and could refund my money. Once he got to the computer the only option he gave was to make the food. I said that's fine. Oh Wait we don't have Catfish.. Ok just make whatever. I leave go to the place I wanted to eat tonight. Wait 30 minutes make the 5 minute walk back and again my order is not ready...Finally straw was when he put my order together, he told me they did t have the stuffed chocolate chip cookies. So he put in the lemon cake that I HATE. I have never written a review thus long, but I also will never go here again.

I give this place 5 stars for the customer service. The guy cooking is the best! He lets you see what you're getting before he packs it up. Food was tasty as well. I'll be back!

I've now been twice and will definitely go back. The Cajun pasta was delicious, so much flavor. The breakfast croissant sandwich is a great deal. Didn't realize it came with breakfast potatoes and cheese grits.

I've heard good things about the food, but each time I want to try this place, it's not open. Advertising breakfast and 10am-10pm open hours is misleading and incosiderate. I walk by multiple times a day, and this simply isn't happening.1. Inconsistent hours2. Emptying trash into the on-street, public trash cans instead of their in-building option. It's just bad form and bad citizenship behavior.3. Now that it's been around for the better part of a year, can we get reasonable signage up? This is not a Gyro Brothers location anymore.I'd much prefer to just remove this post. Let's get it together, folks!
