My first meal in Atlanta was this hidden gem and I couldn't be happier! The food was absolutely amazing and bursting with flavor. We ordered the Jambalaya, which has rice, chicken, shrimp, and sausage. This meal had so much flavor and had a kick to it! We also ordered the Pasta Yaya, which has shrimp and sausage in creole cream pasta. It was incredibly creamy and delicious. For the full experience, we had to order some dessert. Angie's Bread Pudding melted in my mouth and had the perfect amount of sweetness. The Sweet Punch was indeed sweet, but refreshing from the savory foods. Pasta Yaya and Jambalaya (Regular for both): $18Sweet Punch: $5Bread Pudding: $8While there's minimal seating inside, there are some spots available outside. The ordering process is straightforward: you order at the register and grab your food when your number is called. Overall, I highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Food Shoppe in Atlanta, Georgia, and it was an unforgettable experience. I started with the jambalaya, which was spectacular. The rice was perfectly tender, and the combination of sausage, chicken, and shrimp stole the show.Next, I tried the Pasta Yaya. This dish was equally impressive, with a creamy sauce. The flavors were rich and well-balanced.For dessert, we indulged in Angie's Bread Pudding. It was, without a doubt, the best bread pudding I've ever had. The texture was perfect--soft and moist without being overly sweet. The caramel sauce drizzled on top added just the right amount of sweetness, making it a perfect end to the meal.Overall, The Food Shoppe is a must-visit if you're in Atlanta. This restaurant offers a dining experience that is both memorable and satisfying. I will definitely be returning on my next trip to the area.

Amazing creole food, some of the absolute best food in downtown Atlanta! My wife and I stop in any time we're visiting the downtown area. I've had multiple entrees from their lunch/dinner menu, including the pasta yaya, the jambalaya, and the voodoo mac and cheese. You get SO much food for such a good price. We also always get the bread pudding. It's a MASSIVE piece and a great end to the meal.My suggestion is to order ahead on the phone and pick it up, as it can take some time depending on time of day. It's a really nice hidden gem and they deserve your business!

This fast casual spot has limited seating in a great location. After ordering, it does take some time for the order to be made. I got a small Voodoo BBQ Jambalaya that had a ton of flavor and was very filling. There was a good amount of sausage and some shrimp and chicken. The chicken could be slightly dry and my favorite was the sausage. Next time I'd get the regular Jambalaya.

Service took longer than I'd expect for a fast casual restaurant. The gumbo was very mediocre. It lacked flavor and didn't seem like there were too many ingredients used. The restaurant didn't have the cleanest appearance either and had an odd smell.

Food Shoppe is a simple spot to go when you want genuine New Orleans cuisine. There's seating inside but it's a little tight and not that suited for a party bigger than 4; you'd want to order to go. Because it's made to order, there can be a bit of a wait but it's well worth the experience. Honestly for any travelers staying at the Omni or the nearby hotels, this is walkable and worthwhile. Most recently I got their voodoo jambalaya. It's jambalaya with BBQ sauce. I actually took someone from Louisana from there who found the food authentic and delicious. As for dessert, get the Angie's bread pudding. You'll thank me later after you've woken up from your food coma. The carmel sauce is made in house. Basically, if you're going to feel guilty eating dessert you may as well go all out.All in all, Food Shoppe is a great call-in, pick-up spot to take back to your house, gorge, and pass out.

Though the food was good, the staff was amazing! Very friendly and attentive--they came and checked on me a couple of times--which is unusual for an order-at-the-counter kind of place.I had the shrimp and grits and the red beans and rice with sausage. (Sausage was an add-on.) The grits were creamy, but less shrimp flavor than I was hoping for--and less shrimp. Only five, but well cooked. The sausage I had with the red beans wasn't the typical andouille, but Georgia Boy the staff said. It was good, with a smoother texture, but I missed the flavor and chew of andouille. Wanted to try the bread pudding, but I was too full. On that note, I wished they had a combo plate, but they don't, so the meal can be rather one-note if you're by yourself. If I came back, I'd come with a group and share. Also, no tea and I was craving some good tea.

Seasoning is the name of the game here. Food was seasoned to perfection, even the croissant sandwich was packed full of flavor. Shrimp and grits were perfect, served hot and fluffy, the perfect consistency. Staff was extremely friendly, the chef himself even came out to check on everyone and their experience. Small spot with limited seating, but definitely worth your while.

Food was amazing! I wouldn't say the ambiance is the greatest, but the food so overshadowed the atmosphere that it is worth it.
