One of the best upscale casual seafood restaurants I've ever come across. Perfect ambiance and hospitality -- friendly to kids even!Off menu kids fish and chips (5/5) - perfectly fried. Crunch and perfectly moist inside.Sand dabs (4/5) - great renditions of this seafood. Tad salty but great sauceClams appetizer (4/5) - classic preparation but well executesOctopus appetizer (3.5/5) - the focus was more on the ink sauce than the octopus. Wouldn't get againPuttanesca seafood pasta (5/5) - great sauce and abundant seafood. We have been here in the past but it's been a couple of years and tonight unfortunatelyDid not hit the mark .... It was OK. But when you spend $300 on a few apps it best be more than OK.. the service was OK. Had to ask for water a couple times and they don't pour it for you or anything. Basic service. And most of the time it was from far away behind a railing that separates the sidewalk. I mean come to our table already..The food was mostly OK. THE SALMON COLLAR was super salty. Couldn't eat itThe ALBACORE DIP was yummy but did not want all that bread. Too bad it didn't come with veggies.The CRAB CAKE was tastyMy sister said the octopus and the carrots were just OKTHE CRAFT COCKTAILS were delicious. I had the TAN LINES. But the problem is the huge square ice cube takes up the entire glass so you get a few sips for $18.No view and a busy sidewalk .. I felt very cramped.

Dinner here with my friends was awesome! The service was great and we enjoyed our selections! The grilled oysters and clams were delicious. We added tagliatelle to the clams to make it more of an entree. But my fav was the crispy albacore belly picatta! It's to die for. The cocktails were pretty crafty and a bit pricey with most $17+. I had The Fishery Milk Punch made with tequila, vermouth, yogurt and clarified oat milk. Very cute, but next time I'll opt for a glass of wine. The dining room has a classic fish house feel, much like The Fish Market. But there's also a patio for those warm summer nights.

Fantastic fresh seafood sourced locally with seasonal menu. During the summer, most of their fish are caught daily locally. Today the ahi, sea bass, black cod, grouper, were all caught in SD. Food is incredibly fresh, service is prompt and friendly, ambiance is airy and bright. Superb chowder with many ingredients. Scallop crudo and hose salad are fantastic. Brioche sandos are to die for. Hard to beat the value. 100% will return.

This place was amazing! Our server Ian was super attentive, knowledgeable and friendly! We would 100% recommend! The scallops were delicious and the albacore picatta was the perfect combo of crispy and juicy! Cocktails were refreshing and we can't wait to come back!!

Wanted to done at arguably the most up scale restaurant in the pacific beach area so reserved a table for Saturday night. We showed up right on time for our reservation and found other people looking to be waiting for a table. The host asked us to wait a few minutes, but we ended up waiting 10 minutes past our reservation time to be seated outside. However, from there, our service was fantastic and our waitress very attentive. She was helpful in guiding us through the menu and we ordered the aguachile and black cod. The aguachile had great flavor, but was definitely the spiciest aguachile I've ever had and I think our waitress should've warned us. Also, the tortilla chips that came with the dish tasted like Tostitos found at the grocery store- we were less impressed with that. We did however love the back cod and would definitely order that again.

My boyfriend and I went here this past Saturday for date night. We sat outside, which is pretty casual patio seating. The inside looks very chic, with dim lighting and classy restaurant fashion. This place is known for its locally sourced seafoods. We tried a variety of dishes, starting off with soft shell crab, jumbo prawn, Caesar salad and their salmon Roe. I ordered the macadamian crusted Alaskan halibut and my boyfriend ordered the scallops. I was very impressed by how fresh and tasty everything was. The chef does an amazing job of making each dish packed with balanced and unique flavors. Overall, this is a great place for quality seafood.

A great fish restaurant that can be a little bit pricey. We always enjoy the fish stew. the mussels with Green curry was delicious with a bit of spice. It is served With a fantastic crusty bread to mop up that fabulous sauce. Service was attentive.Great indoor outdoor dining.We brought our lab and ate out doors. They brought water for our lab which we were happy about.

Me and my best friend are visiting San Diego for my birthday weekend and we stopped here for dinner. Let me start with the service. The best service, our waiter was so kind and so helpful with our food selections. I couldn't decide between the macadamia nut halibut and the fish and chips. He suggested me to get the halibut and also got me a single fried fish so I would be able to try it!! Absolutely amazing dinner the food was phenomenal. Perfect portion sizes and so flavorful. My friend got the clam tagliatelle. That was also delicious. For appetizers we got the shrimp cocktail and oysters. I don't have one negative thing to say. Even the atmosphere was so calm and very clean. Definitely a must try!! Shout out to our waiter Ian. Thank you very much.

I hadn't been here since before the pandemic. We came for a birthday celebration with a party of 12. The food and service was excellent. We were seated outside which is right on Cass which can get busy on Friday/Saturday evenings but it actually wasn't noisy or annoying from the cars or street. It was a little weird having people walk by on the sidewalk. It was also dark so bring your readers so you can read the menu! We had the calamari, clams, mussels, and crab cakes for apps. All delicious and recommend all. My daughter and I shared the whole rockfish. It was amazing! Not sure if it would be enough for 2 hungry adults but maybe because it was that good we ate more than we should have each. My 8 year old son had the smash burger and even though it's fish and not beef, he loved it! My partner's black cod was also delicious. All in all I highly recommend for a date night or celebratory dinner with family and friends - great service, ambiance (would ask for inside seating next time), and food!
