The Filling Station

We were hungry after a hike at North Chuckanut Mountain trail, and this was the closest burger place as we were craving burgers.The place is at the cor er of the street, so the place is in an L shape. Once you go in, there are some tables to your right by some window and more tables to your left. The bar is in the inner part. We got the chuckwagon burger and the triumph chicken sandwich. The triumph is in the sandwich section of the menu, but it comes on a sesame bun. The chicken was crispy yet tender on the inside but the cole slaw kind of made the rest a little dry. There is bbq sauce but not enough.The chuckwagon was good too. At first, I thought it was small as the bun was small however there is a big beef patty. The outside of the bun was a little hard to chew. It comes with au jus to dip which helped a bit.The service was great and the prices are reasonable.

Great local burger joint. They elevate their food, but not so much that it loses that classic hamburger taste. Good selection of drinks, as well as many other things on the menu, but not too many. Really cool environment, at both locations. It's like stepping back in time with good old fashioned service. A good locals place for sure.

Typical hipster nonsense restaurant. All the effort was put into decorating the restaurant and no thought was given to the actual point of EVERY restaurant...the FOOD. The staff was kind and friendly and is the only reason this isn't a one star review. The flowery descriptions of all the menu items belie the substandard quality of the burgers my wife and I received. On top of that the prices were outrageous for what arrived at the table. We will not be back.

Good burgers and nice staff. Try the fried pickles. Comfortable and interesting decor.

Went here for a late lunch. The prices definitely seemed steep, but I could tell when eating that the products were fresh and of a higher quality than what you'd expect from most other small restaurant chicken sandwiches. The portion was also good, and both my boyfriend and I had almost half of a sandwich each to take home. Service didn't suffer despite us being seated outside. Will be returning!

Just wow!! Such a cool place (loved the decor with the old license plates) but beyond that the food was excellent. I had the most delicious burger with bacon jam (Jaguar) and the Volt salad- both yum!!! My kids were disappointed there isn't a closer location near Seattle and they are picky eaters!! They got the Kids Rumble (not pictured). Mist importantly- the service was excellent!! There was just a very kind and family friendly vibe which to be honest I didn't expect in hip Bellingham. Will be back next time we're in town!!

Our server was very prompt and friendly and willing to make changes on our order. Very clean, and the hamburgers were delicious, fries were called curly but were more like wedges. They were crisp on the outside.Will definitely return the next time we're in Bellingham.

I don't think I could love another restaurant more than filling. The food, friendly staff who are interested in connecting with customers, and fun environment. Truly, the whole staff is amazing.Try their Andre's lemonade (with or without alcohol)

Tasty food, not greasy, and overall good presentation! The server was attentive, and polite. The outdoor seating was nice on a summer evening. Overall, it was a nice spot to eat seafood or a burger!

Avoid This Tourist Trap! Child size burger at full price. Order of French Fries was 4 pieces. Ferrari Sandwich dry chicken dry bun. Dirty ceiling. Non flushing toilet. Dirty left over Christmas decoration hanging on the wall. Dying plant. Bar tender and some other very grumpy woman, both dressed in horrible street clothes. Really Bad Experience!
