The Shakshuka was the best! It was my first time trying this dish ever, and the tomatoes were so fresh and the bread was toasted just right. The eggs were also nicely poached. I also shared a mimosa with a friend, but that was pretty standard. I came in not having made a reservation, but we were lucky that we came in past noon on a weekday, so it wasn't too busy. We only needed to wait 10minutes to be seated, but I've heard wait times can be extremely long if you come on the weekend without a reservation. The place itself is fairly small, so they typically recommend reservations in advance. I'd love to come to this spot for brunch again!

Service= meh. took forever and saw my mimosa just sitting on the counter for 15 mins before being brought over. for the automatically included 20% you would think there would be some level of effort but it seemed abysmal.food= incredible. you could taste the whole ingredients .if there was one dish we didn't order, it would be the ricotta toast. too much date, too little ricotta. ambience= lovely, you felt like you were eating in the coolest coffee shop on the block. was able to book a reservation three weeks out. parking was surprising easy, reservation earlier than we would like but left plenty of time to explore fremont market and discovery park.

I like to say I'm somewhat of an eggs Benedict connoisseur, and this one was fantastic!!! The eggs were done perfectly and just every part was delicious. We did ask to take it to go because we weren't able to wait due to an appointment, and the staff very kindly accommodated us which we appreciated!! Small space so be prepared to wait unlike us

One of my go-to brunch spots in Seattle. A place that I always take my friends who come to visit. You have to make a reservation if you want to guarantee that you will get to sit down and eat at the Fat Hen. It is a cute tiny restaurant in a residential neighborhood. You wouldn't expect a restaurant to be there but it is very cute and quaint. The servers and host are very sweet and they are very accommodating. The foods and drinks come out very quickly. I highly recommend the Shakshuka if its your first time at the Fat Hen. It is an iconic dish that is a MUST TRY. The Shaksuka is very flavorful with the eggs. It is a perfect brunch dish paired with a hot latte.

Had breakfast at this cozy restaurant. Got there just before 8 am since they only have about a dozen tables for small parties. Service and food are great. Price points for the portions were good. This will be a place we will definitely come back to!

Get a reservation! Walking in for a table on the weekend is very unlikely in my experience. It's a tiny, cozy restaurant. They do turn people away rather than having a line out the door, which is appreciated while eating. We were seated right away for our reservation at 9:15am on a Sunday. The drinks we ordered came out promptly. The cold brew was excellent and not to sweet; same with the fat hen fog. Smith tea has a solid earl grey. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. The camicia was super hot, with the pancetta eggs Benedict cooled down enough for us to know it had been waiting on the camicia. The eggs were cooked perfectly, the pancetta was fantastic, and the hollandaise was tasty while not overwhelming the rest of the dish. The smash potatoes were yummy, especially with the house made hot sauce. Ask for it! We ordered an extra baguette for the camicia. It turned out to be a good call to soak up all the tomato goodness. This tiny spot had been on my list for a while, so I'm glad it met and exceeded expectations. I'm looking forward to my next stop in.

There is something really nice about starting your weekend with brunch at a homey, quaint neighborhood spot. We came here on Saturday without a reservation and had to wait around 30 minutes to get a table, we didn't mind as we enjoyed walking around the neighborhood in the meantime. I would highly recommend making a reservation in advance, you can do it through Yelp. I got the Shakshuka and lavender latte. The shakshuka was flavorful and the eggs were done right. They make their own coffee syrups and use local ingredients. Service was friendly and attentive.

This was a super yummy brunch, and I loved the flavors. I'm waffling between 4 and 5 stars because it's definitely delicious and I will absolutely go back. The only thing missing was that the vegetarian shakshouka was missing a little something. I've always had vegetarian shakshouka with chickpeas, and this was missing that bit of texture. So while I loved dipping the bread into the sauce, and while the eggs were perfect, and the yogurt was simply delightful - all it needed was a bit of toothsomeness to be perfect!
