Excellent dinner! We arrived early for our reservation and were still seated promptly. The ambiance was great. Window tables were bright and had a good view of Michigan Ave. deeper in the restaurant was darker decor and quaint atmosphere. Our waiter- Marcus, was attentive and helpful. The smoked salmon appetizer was delicious. Entrees were perfectly sized and very flavorful. We had the filet mignon and chili honey salmon. Both were delicious. Drinks were strong but still flavorful. Desert we had the bread pudding. It was nicely crispy on top and not at all soggy. The cinnamon ice cream with it was amazing on its own. Overall, a great experience. Highly recommended.

Best service I've ever had! Paige was fantastic, and didn't skip a beat, even with a trainee. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and specials, along with giving great recommendations. Perfect pacing of being attentive, but not overbearing. The rest of the staff were amazing as well, from greeting us to helping find the restroom. I loved the environment-upscale, but not fussy. I had a Lululemon shirt and nice shorts on and didn't feel out of place, but most people were dressed up a bit more. The smoked carrots were one of the best things I've ever eaten, with the brownie Sunday not far behind. The fish and cornbread were fine, but maybe not to my taste. I'd order something else next time. Great place for dates, special occasions, or simply a nice dinner.

This is a super vibey and cute spot, but again I have to go against the grain as my experience did not live up to the hype. My mom and I went here on 6/15/2024, we had reservations, so we were sat immediately when we arrived. We were greeted promptly and ordered some drinks and bread to start. The bread and butter was yummy. For dinner, we got a Caesar salad and added chicken to it and we got the crispy fresh fish sandwich - we shared everything. The Caesar salad was bizarre to us, they put a chicken breast on the side of the salad (on it's own plate) instead of on top/making it a cohesive meal, like why? The salad was okay. The sandwich was good, however I prefer it with less slaw and the fries that came with it were lukewarm and it seemed like they were the ones at the bottom of the bag as they were all small. We got a new set of fries, but they were the same temp and length of the initial ones, so maybe that's how the Evie does it (insert shrug emoji). Overall, this place is okay, nothing bad, but nothing particularly great either.

Staycation in the city. After a Cubs game we got a reservation at Evie, near the Intercontinental hotel. It's beautiful inside. We sat at a booth next to the bar. It was pretty busy as it was a Friday night. My sushi roll was delicious and my boyfriend thought his fish was pretty good. I also had an espresso martini and he had a bourbon. Both fine. I definitely recommend dinner here if you're downtown!

Saw signage on the sidewalk of the Mag Mile and immediately curious, so up the narrow escalator into Evie. It's nice to see it's not a chain anymore. It was a much more welcoming upscale ambiance than I expected and the vibe was your suit jacket corporate types having business discussions around the bar and nearby tables. Lighting was fairly dim and background clanking coming from the open kitchen mixed with jazz music overhead.I was promptly greeted at the bar and offered water and menu. I wasn't all too hungry but was up for a late afternoon appetizer/snack stop. I wrongly assumed this was going to be American fare food, but it was all over (that's good if you really don't know what you want) - the friendly bartendress raved about the sushi rolls and I was intrigued! Strangely Chicago doesn't have many good quality sushi spots in the downtown vicinity. So I'm here to say Evie's sushi was beautifully prepared, fresh and so delicious! Price point is $22-$28 per order which seems high but considering the location, it's to be expected. Guessing most guests are floating their corporate Amex to settle the tab. The other bartender said "save room for dessert, our Millionaire Ice Cream is divine", he then said that on your birthday month you can come in to get a complimentary scoop.... Well hot damn! I'm glad I know now because I feel like it was offered to me but when I said I just had a birthday, he said "happy birthday m'aam" but no Millionaire Ice Cream was served. Boo-hiss! I appreciated the attentiveness and friendliness of the bar staff and how calm the energy is in contrast to the hustle and bustle of Michigan Avenue. Also, apparently there's a happy hour during the week, but it wasn't offered this Wednesday.

The Evie was good. The ambience was great and the service was above average. We had the server, the manager, the assistant manager, etc serving our table of two. The food was ok. We really enjoyed the sushi. The food menu did not have too many choices which was somewhat disappointing. But we enjoyed our time there. I would go back with sushi in mind.

I went with a small group of 3 of us on a Tuesday evening around 7pm, and it was definitely packed, busy, and crowded. The staff and team were very kind and checked in with us throughout the night due to the small delays in being seated and receiving food. The lavender lemonade was a perfect mocktail option if you're looking for a non-alcoholic drink. All of us ordered the burgers (either the classic Evie or veggie) with side Caesar salads. We also ordered fries to split. The portions for both were big and it was all very tasty.

Came here for dinner on a Saturday night at 8 pm. Loved the ambience. If you like dimly lit; restaurants, you'll like this place. Our server, Charlie was fantastic. One might think this restaurant's menu is having a bit of an identity crisis (as you'll see by what we ordered) but I just think of it as there's surely something for everyone in your party. Greek Tavern Salad: fresh, nice big chunk of feta. Exactly what I want in a Greek salad. Chicago Style Hot Dog: an elevated hot dog. The dog was thick and flavorful. House made brioche bun was soft. Came with fries. Crab Rangoon roll: so much filling and super flavorful. Loved it. Bread with herb garlic butter: so buttery, soft, toasty. Garlic butter was delish. I could've eaten this entire thing myself.

The new restaurant where Bandera used to be is AMAZING. I never thought I would love Salmon with jalepenos and mint and other herbs. It was delicious. The expresso martini is made with vanilla and expresso infused grey goose. The table, the service the food - all 5 stars!!! Can't wait to go back.
