This is a fantastic new find in the Old Town Scottsdale scene. The Ambiance: mid-century modern chicservice: excellent and attentive. The food: on the pricier side, but reasonable if you go at happy hour. I ordered the Hamachi crudo, crispy egg yolk nigiri, burnt ends, and Laos Sausage. We also ordered the Wagyu Sando, which was not on the happy hour menu. The Hamachi crudo was well done but pretty standard for nice restaurants. The crispy egg yolk nigiri reminded me of a crispy Onigiri and had the right balance of flavor and texture. The Laos sausage had an interesting combination of fragrant flavors such as kaffir lime. The Wagyu Sando was tasty but seemed very small (I guess since wagyu is so expensive)!

Dined here on 08/10/24 for dinner. We were sat by the large portrait of Anthony Bourdain, close to the kitchen. The ambiance and theme were appreciated as we love Anthony Bourdain and felt the menu seemed adventurous. The server was great at first. She knew the menu well from top to bottom. Our drinks came out and appetizers which I will say were pretty good but the craziest thing happened... a MOUSE came out from the kitchen and ran through the restaurant. A couple of kitchen staff came out looking. We were sitting there shocked and our server comes moments later. Not sure if she was acting like she didn't know and we mentioned to her what we saw and she goes "Oh I'm afraid of rats too!" She then points somewhere toward the kitchen and says "Don't worry, the prep is done at a different room". Then we decided to just settle here and eat since it was late then the chicken was raw on the inside bleeding. We asked our server about it and she proceeds to the kitchen. Another server came by who I guess heard us complain and apologized, took the food back and comped it. Our server came back with a scoop of ice cream for "apologies for the kitchen".Overall, I liked the drinks and some of the food. But I do agree with past reviews here that the portions are tiny. However the main reason of why the poor rating is how this server handled the entire situation. Made us feel like we were the nuisance and that we did something wrong, especially when you charge this much money for "an experience". I see that this place is newer as well and had high hopes. Hopefully no one else should have this experience.

Tried this place for the first time tonight and had a decent experience. The restaurant has a really cool vibe and the staff and servers are really friendly.Unfortunately that's where the good part of it ends. I hate to say it, but their food is pretty average and that sucks because I was really looking forward to trying this place. We started with their should we be bad cocktails and they were light and refreshing but not worth the 19 dollars a piece in my opinion. We then ordered their garganelli ala zozzona and their prime NY strip. I wanted to order their cacio Pepe but unfortunately they were unable to add any meat to the portion. So then I switched to the NY strip. When it came to the garganelli ala zozzona, it was essentially a red sauce infused Alfredo pasta. We were told it's a carbonara with addition of the red sauce however it had no guanciale and no other additions, it was just plain pasta with sauce. The portion was very small and the sauce was okay but it tasted like pasta sauce you can get at the supermarket. It had a few pieces of cheese on top of it that wouldn't melt and the presentation was pretty underwhelming. It's a dish you can make at home yourself for fraction of the price. When it came to the prime NY strip, it was also underwhelming for its price. It was juicy and tasted okay but was not worth the almost 60 dollars. Overall was somewhat underwhelmed coming here even though restaurant and staff are great. But until they adjust their prices, I don't think we'll be coming back.

Despise a bit of noise upon arrival, the experience was nice. The service was both excellent and friendly, and the seating was very comfortable. The delicious appetizers were on the small side. The food was scrumptious, with the tomato salad standing out as unbelievable. The veal Milanese was generously portioned, easily enough for two or even three people to share. Although the pastas were on the smaller side, each bite transported us to Italy.

I have been wanting to come here for a while. I was sad that Kashmir is gone but this place looked very cool. I started with an whiskey and burnt ends. The burnt ends were great. Pork belly smoked till crunch with a great sauce. I am excited to come back and try other things. I don't know what I was expecting on the decor, but it was just slightly underwhelming. When I came in it was slow, but service was great. I will be back for more!

Wow I was so impressed with this place! Brooke our server was great and knew the menu well. She let us know it was happy hour and checked back regularly. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. For a new spot they seemed to have a good rhythm. Very good ambiance- it had great decor and was very spacious.

First the atmosphere was excellent (arriving at night time with all the lighting), the cocktail drinks was phenomenal, you can tell the exquisite flavor combination on your first sip. The sweat tea chicken was the plate that delighted my palate with it flavor. We END the dinner with the tiramisu. Needless to say to say, the service... 5 stars for this place.

I've been a loyal second story groupie for many years and was sad to see it closed. If you are like me, fear not, because Tommy's new restaurant will fill that lil hole in your heart and your stomach!. The ends has taken some of the staples of second story and added a bunch of fresh new plates. The remodel of this restaurant is amazing. Gone is the dark cavernous cave like feel. The atmosphere is much more open and minimalistic. New but very comfortable. 5 hungry guys dined there and tried most of the menu. There were no bad choices. Everything was perfectly prepared, and the service was impeccable. Shout out to Madi, our server, who was right on top of all our needs and requests and equally unobtrusive. Highlights included the bison, which was perfectly cooked, the spicy tuna on crispy rice, and the burnt ends, which were worthy of their nickname " meat candy". Unfortunately, we ate ao much we had no room left for desert. For certain on our next visit which is already planned with some out of town visitors. Congrats to Tommy, his staff and his chef on this new endeavor. My new go to in old town.
