Very friendly staff. Very cute ambience perfect for a date night. Most importantly delicious food with good portions. Highly recommend. I will definitely be coming back!Chilled Avocado Citrus Soup- like an elevated sweet and sour soup. orange juice adds a nice sweetness and a light tartness and the lime juice adds a nice zing. Very refreshing. The hearty amount of avocado adds a nice texture. I added a little hot sauce they provide which gave it a little heart and worked very well. 4/5Porc Diplomat- generous portion of perfectly cooked and tender pork marinated in soy. Covered in a hearty sauce of coconut milk, black pepper, and garlic. The coconut as a nice creaminess and sweetness, where the pepper and garlic added a good savoriness. The rice seemed to have some lemon grass in it and added a nice flavor. The bok choy has an amazing soy and ginger dressing. So delicious. 5/5Le Péché au Chocolat- dense decadent chocolate cake. Very taste. Added a scoop of pistachio ice cream which was also good. 5/5

We really wanted to like this place, the reviews were so promising. French cambodian seemed like an exciting mix but turned out to be just an americanized version of an asian menu with a slight influence of french classics. Seemed like the spot was popular for a Thursday evening, people kept pouring in as the evening went on. The staff were very sweet but definitely understaffed because it took forever for us to order and get the check. We got the spring rolls and the two vegan curries with tofu. The spring rolls were nice but the curries lacked salt and pretty much any flavor. The yellow curry was basically just onions with a couple of tofu pieces. Overall extremely disappointed :(

So I have mixed feelings about this place. I had been eyeing their rolls after seeing the photos. I grew up with an amazing Vietnamese restaurant that had fried spring rolls made with the rice paper, where the skin was fried to a bubbly perfection. So I was looking forward to trying these. Although I later realized that these were more like the wonton skins instead of rice paper, so it was a bit thick, but overall it was served with a good amount of lettuce, veggies and tart dipping sauce. I would have loved it more with a rice paper skin, but this was still delicious. The man who took my order at the bar was also very considerate about suggesting I order a partial order of 2 or 3 rolls since the full order of 5 would be a lot for one person, I will say, I was was warned before coming here that it is more fusion and Americanized Asian than authentic Cambodian. And the curry definitely said that.First, I do appreciate that they had a lovely vegan curry option which was a thick yellow coconut curry with lots of pumpkin and other veggies. This was a nice change to the usual curries. The only bummer was that there was some gross hair in the plate and when I brought it up, the bartender proceeded to take a knife and dig through my plate to confirm if it was hair or not. It was very obviously a short curly strand of female hair that was bleached as you can see the transition from black to blonde. They did assure me that the man in the back for this station had a hair net, but from the hair it looks more like it is from the lady serving the food. Either way, it does make me cringe thinking about the details. That aside, they did eventually make me a new plate which by that point I wanted to cancel but proceeded to have it since they placed the order. The lychee drink was a nice virgin cocktail, a tad sweet but quite refreshing.Overall, while the food is more fusion than traditional Cambodian, this is still a nice bar and dinner spot for people to gather in the south end. The dishes were also well thought out and plated, so it's still worth coming to try.

Very delicious food! I forgot to take pictures of the other things we ordered because we were too busy eating. The lychee lemonade was such a good drink, it tasted more like lychee and less lemon, which I loved the service was fast, professional, and warm, great restaurant for a dinner out, a date, whatever!

We were immediately welcomed, had an early reservation and we were seated immediately. All of the food looked and smelled delicious. We really enjoyed all the dishes. We had two cocktails which were both delightful and fresh. Service was great, we had a lovely server who was attentive and brought us water often and asked us about our food. Not many people inside when we arrived, so it was a bit quiet minus the people sitting at the bar, but as we dined more people started coming in. Very interesting food, definitely worth a try!

I think this restaurant is more for the Americanized tastebuds. Nothing wrong with it - but it didn't really taste Cambodian, and it didn't really seem French either. Maybe a fusion of both, on an introductory level?Either way, tried the croustillant de thon, avocado citrus soup, amok, and passion fruit mousse. I'd recommend the avocado citrus soup more than the other items as they kind of tasted a bit muted, if you know what I mean (and I'm spice-averse).Lovely ambiance, friendly staff otherwise.

Highly recommend!I'm not familiar with Cambodian cuisine so I can't speak on authenticity, but the food was delicious. Every food item was flavorful and the meats (duck, pork, beef) were tender and not rubbery in the slightest. Great portions Service was amazing, they were incredibly attentive and friendly. The food came out fast, and the drinks were great. I really liked the purple panda cocktail in particular. The poached pear... probably my favorite dessert in a while, absolutely blew my mind. I love the decor of the space, the music was right down my alley (more indie), and the vibes were friendly and chill. This is a good place to chill with friend and a great date spot. I'm definitely coming back!

: 9/10Perfectly pan-seared scallops, adored with a delicate champagne tarragon cream sauce juxtaposed harmoniously with zesty notes. The leak and spinach polenta acted as a nice, savory base that perfectly soaked up the luscious sauce. Finally, the Emily mushrooms added a crunchy and pleasant texture to an overall well-rounded French dish! : 9.1/10From the Cambodian menu, this dish was a delightful twist on the French classic, beef bourguignon. Tender, boneless beef short ribs braised in a balanced blend of tangy, sweet tamarind, ginger, chili, and soy. The noodles were wonderfully chewy, and the pickled cucumbers acted as the perfect palette cleanser! é: 8/10Crispy dumplings with a savory minced pork filling. Lemongrass added a subtle tank to the pork, and the wild lime leaves gave a slightly sweet and floral note. Served alongside sesame hoisin dipping sauce and cucumber pickles, this was definitely a great starter to the meal! A Cambodian and French fusion restaurant; now there's something you don't see everyday. But, I was delighted that @elephantwalksouthend executes both cuisines perfectly! Each dish stayed true to their respective region and did not hold back on flavor. I highly doubt recommend going with a friend to experience both region's cuisine and get the full picture of what makes this restaurant so good! Is a bit pricey? Sure, but isn't all French food that way? The inside was very cute and cozy, really emulating casual fine dining vibes.

Item(s) ordered: Dreamsicle cocktail; Avocat Kanthor; Curry Des Crevettes Aux Légumes Frais; Légumes Et Tofu Grilles, Curry Vert Au Gingembre; Le Péché Au ChocolatVibes: Incredible restaurant. Very moody lighting, with a great bar area as well. The Review: If there is one word to describe Elephant Walk, it is "curated". All the way down to the mixed drinks and wine, every dish is full of consideration. Once a local chain with four locations, Elephant Walk is a Cambodian restaurant founded about 30 years ago. They still have some staff from its birth. The food was impeccably prepared, with tons of flavor with very fresh ingredients. I personally preferred the Cambodian side of the menu. There are an abundance of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options, allowing a culinary opportunity for a wide audience. Some things can be adjusted to be gluten-free, and the servers are very knowledgeable. The bartender knew all the dishes like the back of his hand, and even gave us some fantastic nuggets of history about the restaurant. Elephant Walk was an immersive experience in a humble-yet-fine dining establishment that was truly unforgettable. Thank you for a fantastic meal that was worth every penny!

Attentive service with great staff. Nice ambiance too! Food was wonderful, and I can't wait to try more on the menu. We got the Khar Saiko Kroeung, Pavé De Saumon, and the Soup Phnom-Penh. The particular standout was the Le Péché dessert--so incredible I have a hard time describing it. Highly highly recommend!
