The Elephant Thai Cuisine

It's not a proper sit down restaurant. We drove here specifically looking for a Thai restaurant. They are just take away only. So, I took my business away from this place to a proper restaurant. Is the food good? I'll never know. Restaurants such as this have lazily used the COVID 19 pandemic as a convenient excuse to do less for their dining clients. Bye bye Elephant Thai.

Picked up dinner at The Elephant Thai Cuisine since this my friend's favorite Thai restaurant and I really do get why she loves this place so much. Their Pad See Ew is soooooo good; sweet, flavorful, and savory. I almost ate the entire container. Their veggie egg rolls were crispy and so good paired with the sauce. Service was fast! It only took them 10 minutes to prepare our food, by the time we picked up our order, they had our food packed in a bag ready to go. Definitely try it out when you get the chance!

delicious, no frills...this place is clearly a takeout spot. when you "dine-in" your food is served to you in takeout containers and you're given paper plates. not a huge a deal but be forewarned - not a date night spot ;)the pad see ewe is good - not too sweet, noodles the right chewy and stickiness. the broccoli helping is generous too. good spot if you're in the area but not worth the travel if you're not.

Very good food and extremely friendly service. The one thing to note is that while there is seating area inside, they do not provide dining service. By that I mean they allow you to eat inside but your meal is served in takeout containers. Not a major issue unless you wanted something a little more formal, just something to be aware of.

*Just a reminder that they are take-out only right now.My friend and I ordered a pad see ewe tofu and a pad ped catfish. Pad ped catfish is one of my favorite Thai dishes and I was super excited to see that Elephant Thai Cuisine had it on their menu! I will say it was pretty good, but it lacked heat. I love spicy food, so I was kind of disappointed that it wasnt spicy at all, even though it's supposed to be. But the catfish was good! There was a good amount of it. And I enjoyed the vegetables and curry sauce too.My friend's pad see ewe was okay. It looked really good, but I feel like it could've used some more soy sauce and sweetness to it. I do want to give them another try, especially because they have Catfish 3 flavors, which sounds very similar to a dish that I absolutely loved at another Thai restaurant.

Consistently Good to excellent food. My go to when in the area. Usually do pick up and once I went in there was a Buddhist ceremony taking place. A true Chicago experience. Good service

For years, they had the best Thai food. There are new owners and the food is no longer good.

The fried rice has really gone downhill. We have ordered from here since its opening. The fried rice was bland with pieces of white rice exposed. The barbequed pork was utterly unedible. The pork appeared discolored and fatty. Surely would not ordera pork entree from here again.

It's been awhile since I ordered food from here but I always told everyone that it was the best Thai Food. I have tried. Unfortunately I was extremely disappointed today in the Pad Thai I ordered which used to be full of color full veggies , today's order was an unappetizing looking dish of mushy noodles and chicken with barely a sprinkle of carrot and cabbage.
