The Edison Cafe - Smash Burgers

Cutest little restaurant ever. We have driven by for years but decided to give it a go and now I'm mad that I have missed all this time! We went on a Friday around noon and it was empty (except to go orders). We ordered a couple double burgers and fries. I almost didn't want to review because I don't want a long line when I go back! The burger and fries were so insanely good and simple but perfect.

This place makes a great smash burger. It is not large, but it's tasty. The order includes a large serving of crispy fries that you can dip in the house hamburger sauce. You can also substitute a side salad of greens, shaved Carrots, beets, and goat cheese and your choice of dressing, simple but fresh. They also had fresh blueberry lemonade the day I went. Nothing fancy but 5/5 for a hamburger joint.

Ordered a side salad with the smash burger and it was as good as a salad gets: fresh and varied greens, nice toppings, and excellent dressing. The burger was great, too. Nice to have this place in Edison. I wish they would cut from the Edison scene and open during the work week and cater to working people, not just the weekend visitors.

You MUST try this spot. I've been up and down the block eating burgers and this one stands up to any of them. Arches, castles, diners, drive-ins, dives, and even the upper crust. The couple that own and work the joint are lovely. Can't wait to go back!

Want to rate it one star to keep this hidden gem hidden, but have a conscience. This restaurant is truly amazing, even hash browns, generally mediocre, were extremely nice. It's in a quiet unassuming town north of Seattle. The building is tasteful, small, and cute, nothing glitzy or flashy about it, just a good down home place.The food was unexpectedly great! Had expected good but this was great down home cooking! Extremely surprising. Have had a similar tasting omelette before but the hash browns surprised me. Highly recommend! Just keep it a secret! Sssshhhhh

My father is here visiting and we visited the cafe today, Saturday 06/15/2024. This was the first time I had dined here for lunch, and I was just as impressed as the times I've come for breakfast. We were immediately greeted by smiling faces, and felt extremely welcomed. We ordered a hamburger and cheeseburger both with fries. I ordered the enticing strawberry lemonade, while my father ordered a flavored tea. I mentioned we were hoping to see the eagles, known to be easy to find in this area. The young man expressed interest and made some helpful viewing tips. The hamburgers were looked AND tasted delicious, the fries were excellent and plentiful. My father was so impressed when the young man explained the burgers and fries had not been seasoned, while salt pepper and a seasoning salt were available at our table. My father is watching my his salt intake, had forgotten to request this and expressed he wished more restaurants did this. I was throughly elated to see they are using paper straws and offer use of aluminum cups for water. Amazing ALL around, I'll be back again and again!!

Love the Edison Cafe. Great food and the owners are so friendly and personable. I am happy to see the space being loved. I be been going there since childhood (different owners, many times over). Edison is a community of love

Exceedingly friendly staff compliment the delicious smash burgers and crinkle fries, all perfectly cooked. This roadside burger joint is frequented by locals and visitors alike. Try a berry lemonade or a vanilla italian soda. the menu is simple but wonderfully curated. Highly recommend this family-friendly restaurant and its chill, friendly vibe.

Seriously the best smash burger I have ever had!! Grilled perfectly with a crisp exterior and served with delicious sauce and veggies. The crinkle fries are perfectly crisp and delicious. I could eat these burgers every day. The owners are super friendly and the service is great. We love eating it and also getting our burgers to go if we're in a rush. My only complaint is I wish they were open 24/7!

The reinvented. Edison Cafe is a perfect burger diner in the quaint town of Edison. They specialize in smashburgers, which are delish. Their small menu offers other homespun touches like fresh berry lemonade, homemade pie, and Bownuts - their take on a cinnamony donut. The owners are friendly and welcoming, making you feel like you have been invited into their kitchen. A perfect stop when sightseeing in the Skagit Valley.
