The Duke

I came to The Duke during a recent business trip to Atlanta after a night of bopping around to different bars in Buckhead . We were looking for a solid dive and Yelp led us straight to The Duke, which absolutely fit the bill in the best way. We only came for drinks so I can't speak to the food, but the service from Jade was amazing, the company was excellent, and the vibe was really laid back in the best way. The Guinness pours were honestly some of the best I've ever had (and we are tough critics on this). The glasses were clean, the pours were solid, and Jade's company was fantastic. For Jade's company and amazing Guinness pours (plus clean bathrooms which is always a positive!), The Duke is somewhere I'll absolutely continue to go to when work takes me back to Atlanta!

Fun place to eat. Good barfood. Good service. Great bar. What more do you need. Trying to find a day to go back for Trivia night

If your looking for a pub with friendly service, good drinks, and chill vibe this is your place. We went on a Friday night around 10PM and it was not crowded at all. Only a couple ppl were at the bar. This is a place you come if you want a calm night with a couple of drinks. The bartender was very friendly and checked on us often. The food was ok. Very much what you would expect for bar food. The coconut shrimp had a nice spice to it and the fries had a good crisp.

Jade, the bartender did it all. She was great. Provided great service, food, and beverage recommendations. The ambiance was chill. Would definitely come back again.

I love a good pub. I'm fanatical about fish and chips. Whenever I see a British pub and I'm hungry I stop. I happened to be at liquor Costco today and needed to head to Super Walmart. This was right around the corner. I even went on Yelp to see reviews. They had 3.5 stars. But recent ones were good. Should have turned around when I walked in at 4 and I was the only customer. But the waitress Jade was just wonderful. Oh Jade why didn't you tell me. Lol. First off the fish should be crispy. This was so light and under done. I cut through the fish and the entire batter came off. Oh yeah frozen. I usually don't get the chips. Glad I didn't. The pictures on Yelp did not look appetizing. The beer was cold and the salad seemed fresh. I'd go back for a beer if Jade was behind the bar.

Walking in at diner time and the place had maybe 5 people including the bartender. We tried it anyway. No music. It was awkward to have a conversation since it was easily heard. If I could have a separate rating for the bartender I would - they were nice and cordial. They tried to turn up the music but it was still inaudible. Food was ok. Won't return

The place was very understaffed. A single server was trying to handle about half of the tables and was not able to make it around fast enough. This meant it took almost 2 hours before we could get someone else to give us a check. The food was awful. The prices were high enough that we expected larger serving sizes and were disappointed with how little we got until we tasted it. The fish was soggy, the chips were cold and burnt from the frying. The cottage pie was burnt on both the top and bottom, and tasted bad (way too much grease and Worcestershire). Also the corn randomly had dijon mustard in it? That feels like something you would think is worth mentioning on the menu at least...Only redeeming quality is that music bingo had some good songs

I was really excited to try The Duke! I went here on a Saturday evening around 9:30 pm. My partner and I were not greeted except with a sign that said seat yourself. Once we began to seat ourself we were hopeful that we would be helped quickly since there were only 3 other tables and 2 people at the bar; however, we sat there for 15 minutes or more while what seemed like the only employee just sat shooting the breeze with one specific patron. After receiving our food.... Egh! Not much worth writing about, sadly to say. We were so excited but after our experience you're better going somewhere else.

Love this place! Lori the bartender is great and we loved the music bingo night. Food was really good and the ambiance is perfect.

I admittedly just had drinks but the bartender was so friendly and eorosnalble that I just had to rave about this place. Laurie was awesome! Grab some drinks after fogo here for sure!
