We went here for dinner with friends. Great for meat eaters (the majority) but not that great for vegetarians. They only have one very bland tomato broth option.I got the mix veggie platter with it. The mushroom broth has a chicken broth base :(Friends ordered a variety of different broths and they were all delicious. The sake that I ordered was really good! The dessert bar has some fun light-on-sweet dessert options. The rest of the bar has very limited options for vegetarians. They end the dinner with a vanilla softy ice cream cone. It's a semi formal dining place, quite huge and the service is great.

Good food, timely and attentive wait staff but the most uncomfortable seating! Some of us in the group were given some pretty low chairs to sit that wasn't comfortable at all. The hot pot switch was poking us too but we could adjust ourselves only so much as we needed access to the hotpot. The restaurant was full and we were already hungry so we didn't bother asking for a change. I also don't like the ordering system. They provide one tablet for the table which has both menu and ordering. Have a few menu cards too please! I am reducing one star because of these issues. Fix the seating first, guys. It sort of ruins the whole experience. We really liked the food. The tomato broth was delicious-- they have a good choice of veggies. My favorite was the bean curd-- it's a spongy, netted form of tofu that absorbs the hot broth as soon as you drop it in. Bamboo shoots and taro were also yummy! Dessert bar and cone ice cream were a big hit with my kids. The kids got second helpings of the icecream so they were sugar high and happy. We went during happy hour so they knocked off 20% off the bill. They charge an additional 3% on credit card (which is weird and I don't like but take the survey and get the 3% off).Pretty expensive for a hot pot-- but look at the location so you will know why. I'd stick to this place for really special occasions only.

Been coming here since they opened in 2018, witnessed their "downfall" since then (especially after Covid), I do have something to say.SERVICE - started with GREAT service. I remember those days. They used to have a mandatory 18% tip, and that was when they had really good service. At some point during/after Covid they got rid of the 18% mandatory tip. But I noticed their service went down. Today they display tip suggestions on their POS machine and they start with 18%. FOOD - this is where a LOT has changed over the years. Prices have gone up, and I understand the reasons behind it. However, there was one time we went to Dolar and the veggie combo had living pests on them! I told the server about it and she changed it for me. The newly replaced vegetable basket had green caterpillars on the broccoli. It was shocking. If you charge that much and don't bother to wash it clean, I find that problematic. This very recent trip, we got diarrhea from your red spicy soup. It wasn't really that spicy. But the oil was kind of off. My stomach wasn't feeling well after the meal. I did not like the oil. It tasted and smelled hyper processed.CASH - Personally I find this restaurant hungry for cash. Well, they did explicitly display that wanna they "appreciate" cash, by which they meant if you pay with a credit card you'd be charged with an extra 3%. If you fill a survey, they will wave the fee. But for a supposedly high-end, expensive hot pot restaurant to be so money hungry I do find it a bit cheap a bit unrefined, certainly not as refined as the oil in their soup base that gets you diarrhea after. They do need to keep all that cash. Bravern? Art Deco realness? It's all a facade. Lastly, this restaurant may show up as "miscellaneous" (what a change!) on your credit card so say goodbye to your 3x points whatsoever. What you wanna get isn't necessarily what you gonna get.

We have tried this place a coupleOf times. The restaurant is very nice and the service is really good. The value though is not quite worth it to me. It's high quality food but for the price I don't see it. It can easily run $200 without drinks for two people.

Took my mom and son here for her birthday lunch. We all really enjoyed it! If I had to pick between Dolar and Haidilao, I would choose Dolar. I like that we had individual hot pots rather than it being shared, the appetizer and dessert bar had a variety of options, and the soft serve at the end is a nice touch. They also had a wheel for my mom to spin to win a complimentary prize (she got shrimp pate) which is really tasty. Also, my son liked the non-hot pot food options. He got the fried pork and rice and then took full advantage of the appetizer and dessert bar. We both ordered half house pork broth and half spicy, seafood plate, wagyu, veggies and hand rolled noodles (must get!). My mom complemented the dessert bar, specifically the red bean, saying that it reminded her of her childhood. She took about 3 trips to refill her bowl Overall, love the decor and upscale vibe while also being comfortable and casual. Service was good and food was great quality. I'll definitely be back!

Food was delicious but be warned it is pricey. Between four of us, the total was like $650 (but that's with the A5 wagyu and geoduck). The experience is definitely worth it especially with friends! My favorite options were definitely the 10-sec beef tongue and the A5 wagyu! And I love that among their sauces they had an xo sauce variety. Their durian pancake was delicious too!The seafood can be eaten cooked or as sashimi which honestly is great cuz I've never seen that before at a hot pot place. Will definitely go back whenever I'm in Seattle again or if I'm craving I'll probably try out their NYC location to see if it's just as good.Service was great. One of the burners at our table was faulty but the hostess replaced pretty quick and gave us a pitcher of watermelon juice on the house.Honestly, I dreamt about this place the night I left Seattle. Definitely visit if you have the budget to treat yourself!

I came here for my birthday celebration with my family. I booked a reservation via Yelp which was super easy to book. Decor was lovely and the food was delicious, but the service was nonexistent and that ultimately led us to having an awful meal. Although we were immediately seated, no one came by to introduce themself, show us how to order, or answer any of our questions. After reading through reviews, we decided to just place an order and wait until someone came by. We were able to flag down an employee about 15 mins after being seated. We shared with her that we didn't know who our server was and asked her questions about the menu and she was very apologetic and gave us a free beverage on the house. While I really appreciated that gesture, it was still not clear to us who our server was because we never had one that checked in on us. Someone did come by to refill our broths, but no comments were made and she just went about her day. When we were finished with our meal, it once again took over 20 minutes to find someone for the bill. There was another table I observed that was increasingly getting frustrated as well. I understand when there's long waits, but this was extremely unacceptable given that there were only 3 tables on the floor and it was near closing time. I really wish the service was better because the food was exceptional, but for that price point of about $50+ per person for nonexistent service, I'd rather go somewhere else.

An upscale hot pot restaurant with high prices, but delicious meats and flavorful broths and sauces! We ordered meats, bean curds, shrimp paste, fried tofu, and noodles and cabbage.Food: - Recommend *noodles, shrimp paste and bean curd*. - Chef's pork broth (which comes with tripe and chicken to make it extra flavorful)- House sauce - the servers make it for you and it was my fav! The sauce bar has chili oil and sesame sauce too which are tasty.- Complimentary ice cream - burnt my tongue from the broth so this ice cream was perfect . Service is exceptional and the restaurant is spacious and upscale! Located in a nice mall too so perfect to have a shopping spree after.

Dolar shop is one of my favorite hot pot places. The quality of the broths and ingredients are superb. There's a huge variety of meats, seafoods, and veggies. They also have a self serve bar with sauces, fruits, desserts, and small appetizers. They also give free ice cream at the end which is delicious. Bonus tip: get the cone and add some toppings from the dessert bar. Only problem is that it's on the pricy side. Otherwise, amazing!!The ambiance of the place is also 10/10. It's cozy and there's a large variety of seating which adds to the aesthetic. Our server, Andrew, was also amazing. Very attentive, friendly, and funny. 12/10 service. The location is also super convenient since they have a pretty large parking garage and they also validate the parking

Dolar shop holds a piece of my heart! I've never left here unsatisfied and serve is always top-notch. With that said, this is a higher end hot pot restaurant and everything is ala-carte so things will add up. Quality of food and service is why I come back, but I'd say this is more of a special occasion type of restaurant. My favorite broths are the tomato and pork bone, so I was delighted to see they created a half/half option! They have many fresh seafood options and lots of wagyu, but I also appreciate their shrimp paste and other choices that you may not see at other hot pot restaurants. I also like that they create a signature sauce for you to start with and if you'd like the sauce bar, it's an additional charge, but it also has a couple appetizers and dessert options. And don't forget to save room for free ice cream cones at the end!Make sure to have a reservation or get on the waitlist early because we heard there were people waiting for 2+ hours!
