The Diner On Wheels

The Diner On Wheels is AWESOME!! They gave me bottles of water for Free when their payment system wasn't working, I can't wait to see them at a Next Event @ McDowell Mountain Ranch! :)

This traveling diner is usually set up as we're on our way into our neighborhood, maybe once every week or so. I've driven by with the intention of stopping one of these days to give it a try; today was that day. They have a comfortable and clean set up just outside the truck with a couple of picnic tables on top of a nice sizeable mat/outdoor rug. The menu appears to stick to the traditional diner fare; cheeseburgers, hamburgers, chili dogs, crinkle fries, etc. They also offer canned sodas and bottled water. There were four of us to feed, so I decided on an order of four hamburgers only ($6 or $7ea). I would have gone for a whole meal for each order (fries and a drink), had that not of been a total of just over $40 bucks. Seemed a little steep to me, so I thought maybe I'd give it a try before I threw my money at it. My kids really enjoyed the burgers and there was even some talk of in-n-out comparisons. I thought the burger was pretty good, but if we're having comparison conversations, four meals at in-n-out each come with freshly cut and cooked fries and a drink from the soda fountain and definitely comes in at less than $40 dollars. I'm always looking for reasonably priced meal or a really good justification for something being priced higher than normal and it just wasn't quite there for me. A good burger, excellent customer service, quick service, and a clean place to sit down and wait or eat, definitely warrant four stars.

Life is better with a burger ! Treat yourself to their mouthwatering burger ! We tried the Nuka Burger it is made with Lean Angus Beef which the beef was so juicy so It being a Double Patty was even better! It also has 2 American Cheese Slices , topped with Lettuce, Tomato, Grilled Onions, Their scrumptious Fancy Sauce that makes the burger even better ! & their Homemade Chili Cheese & you cant forget the side of onion rings, those onion rings are sooo crispy, took some to go & they were still crispy afterwards! They are a food truck, they are a diner literallllly on wheels with very delicious burgers, make sure you stop by ! . We also had the Green Chili Burger , AMAZING . It is made from Lean Angus Beef Patty , Pepper Jack Cheese, Grilled whole Green Chili ,Chipotle Sauce, Fresh Lettuce and of course your choose of fries or onion rings! FRIES WERE MY FAVORITE ! Love crinkle fries and they season them sooooo good

Very expensive, even by food truck prices.$2.00 for a can of coke plus tax. VERY! unorganized. VERY! slow. Even by food truck standards. It seems like they make one order at a time, instead of all at once. IDK, they MAYBE had 8 people in line and an order of fries and a can of Coke took 17 minutes...

Amazing service, food and experience!! I'll hunt this place down any day!!! I got a cheeseburger and was stuck between ordering the frito pie or chili fries. The girl behind the register gave me a helpful tip and I ended up with the frito pie with not a SINGLE regret! Amazing food and really brought me back to my childhood days of eating at diners with my family.

Ate at The Diner on Wheels last Friday night when they were set up at Irene's Tap Room. I had the Nuka Burger (great name for all of you Fallout heads) and it was excellent. The grilled onions and burger sauce was the perfect compliment. Also had an order of the chili cheese fries. Crinkle fries smothered in homeade chili and shreeded cheese. Delicious. We also got our hands on a secret/off menu dessert item. Churro ice cream...

The food is good....but they ran out! I tried the burger and fries....it was not as good as I had hoped but a little better than average. It was sad to see customers leave because they were out of food....they weren't there very long before that happened. I hope they do better in the future.

good eats .. recommend basically if you need something to fade real quick service pretty nice

My husband and I just had the green chili burger. He got it as it comes, I had no lettuce or tomato. Hot, fresh, great flavor. The chipotle sauce is delish! Not a dipper but would have loved for the fries. Husband had fries, no seasoning and I had onion rings. Both were good but the onion rings are REALLY good! Give a local business a try!

Really enjoyed the whole vibe of this food truck as I am an avid diner fan :) I got to enjoy chili cheese fries, mac and cheese and a bite of my husband's Nuka Burger. All were delicious. Side note: the checkered floor mat they put down is all types of cute and in theme! If they are ever in your hood be sure to check them out!
