Enjoying a sunny day in Houston post the rain and before the real summer heat. What a great day to be on a patio and enjoy a refreshing drink.Sand Volleyball Swing chairsFood2 barsPatio/indoor seating What else do you need?Manager Noah was very nice.Bartender Emily she was so sweet and attentive and made the best drinks. Drinks $2 Mexican candy shots (ordered 4) $3 margarita (added mango flavor I did sample the strawberry that was always really good. Not too sweet) Morning regret with Don Julio addedCan't beat a patio with good drinks and service . I didn't play volleyball, but it was nice to watch others play. They don't serve food, but they do have an onsite vendor and share walls with 2 restaurants. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, and a nice music variety played. They have both a qr code menu and a physical copy. There are plenty of drink specials, and we all love a mimosa tower and fish bowls Volleyball $25weekday rental $45 weekend rental

I visited The Decoy for a work event where we rented out a sand volleyball court Friday afternoon and hung out under the covered patio in between games. This is a day drinking review, since someone told me it gets a little clubby at night. (Definitely not the vibe for our visit) The bar interior has a few high tables, a few large booths, and then the bar top, as far as seating options are concerned. There are TV's hanging on the wall in every direction, so you won't miss the game. It's not terribly large inside, but there's also plenty of outdoor seating options in the front and back areas. Front outdoor area has hanging chairs and picnic tables, and the back outdoor area is similar to Kirby Icehouse where they turfed out a space and covered it with a large metal patio and have couches, picnic tables, and high tables you can snag to watch the TV's or the sand volleyball courts. Speaking of, there's I think 3, maybe 4, sand volleyball courts available to rent by the hour. They charged us $10/hr for the court, and $15/hr for the volleyball. FYI Someone mentioned that they have league play on certain nights for the serious Volleyball players out there. They do not serve food at all, but was told they're fine with you bringing in outside food. There's an Underbelly Burger restaurant next door, so you're covered if you absolutely need to eat. I drank beer so don't have much to add about the quality of mixed drinks and cocktails, but it's a sportsbar... Bring that level of expectation and you'll be fine.

The parking lot is small and shared with another store, so we ended up parking across the street. Coming into the lot there are two large volleyball courts and an out door patio area with swinging egg shaped chairs. Walking into the bar, it has a decent bar vibe with a live DJ playing the tunes over the many TV's in the room playing the fight, game, or race on the screen. This place serves beer, shots and cock/mock tail. The beer is nice and cold. They actually serve Yingling Flight, one of my favorite beers. According to my bartender the popular choices drinks on the menu are the Blue Lagoon, Spicy Pineapple Margarita, and the Blueberry Mojito. Additionally she said her favorite was the Lemon Mint Sparkler. My group and I tried several mixed drinks, I myself ordered the spicy pineapple margarita. Based on the consensus of my group, we all agreed that the mixed drinks are more syrupy and honestly not very good. however, that doesn't mean I didn't have fun hanging out with friends here, after all that's what you do at a bar. Sadly they don't offer any type of food, I'm not even sure if you're allowed to bring food in? They only have beverages. Overall it's a good place to go if you want to play volleyball outside when the weather is nice. The servers and bartenders are very friendly and can recommend things if you haven't had them before. The menu is rather small for just the bar, but I'm guessing that's because they probably expect their customers to play a game or two. Some recommendations for this business, improve the alcohol to syrup ratio and probably have some thing to snack on to keep your customers buying more drinks (example: peanuts, fries, sliders, etc).

What a fun concept! It's a sports bar with an outdoor volleyball setup, seamless indoor/outdoor flow, swing chairs on the lawn, counter tables inside with booths you can reserve for sections with bottle service. It has it all! The Decoy hosts parties well or great after work happy hour specials. The drinks are tasty- my ranch water was refreshing without being too sweet or too sour. And the staff was all very friendly and welcoming, checking multiple times that we were taken care of and enjoying ourselves. I definitely recommend dropping by for a fun time!

LOVE the Decoy for watching sports! The covered, outdoor space with the giant TV is perfect for watching our Astros. The service is always prompt and friendly, and management is great to work with for big groups.

Came to play volleyball in their league. The decoy itself is a cool spot. It's new so they don't have a set "vibe" yet. Tuesday cocktail night is awesome and the drinks are good for a sports bar! Bartenders are solid as well. Excited to see how it will be in a couple of months!

My friends and I were looking to do something outside of our normal hang out activities. The idea of being outdoors and being more active came up so we decided to check out The Decoy. We initially reserved a court weeks before we actually came and due to unforeseen circumstances we had to reschedule. The ease of emailing and rescheduling was easy and gave us great first impressions of the place before we even stepped foot on the property. We reserved for a Friday evening at 6pm. Parking was plentiful at that point and only one court was being used. Shortly after, the lot got full and all courts were being used. As always, I arrived early with a couple of friends to enjoy some drinks. They have a nice patio right outside with swinging chairs and plenty of seating. They also have a large covered pavilion with more seating, cornhole, and a huge screen for sporting events. There is a bar inside but it also conveniently opens up to the outside space for ease of ordering outside without tracking sand inside. Customer service was nice and friendly when we arrived. That being said, as the night went on, new staff was at the bar that weren't as quick or outgoing. A few of the items on the happy hour menu were out but they graciously substituted it for other items and honored the happy hour prices. I do wish the beer was slightly colder. They have water fountains on the outside with cups which was a nice touch as staying hydrated in the Texas sun is essential. There is no food served here, but they do share a space with a few eateries right there. So reservations are recommended but I feel like you could probably walk in during the less busy part of the day and be able to play. We reserved a two hour block and I felt if the group is large like ours, it is a very reasonably priced outing. We brought in a few of our own volleyballs, but they do have them to rent. The group after us rented a ball for 15 bucks, but that ball was super raggedy. Being the awesome people that we are, we let them have one of ours. If you need to pump up your own balls, they do have these available at the bar for free usage. They have three sand volleyball courts that are very well maintained. The fence is high surrounding the place, but we lost a few balls to the parking lots because some people don't know their own strength. The sand was clean, deep and cool on the feet. We played our hearts out for our two hours and had an absolute blast. They do come out and remind you it is time to leave if a group has the court after you. Overall, my friends and I had a very good time here. I can see us coming back in the very near future.
