We recently enjoyed a wonderful birthday dinner with family at The Craftsman Cocktails and Kitchen in Tempe. From the moment we walked in, the environment was welcoming and perfectly lit. Khari, our server, was an absolute magician behind the bar. His skill and creativity truly enhanced our dining experience.One of the highlights of the evening was the custom cocktail that Khari designed for our newest family member that is on the way. The drink, named "THE JAX," was a special and thoughtful touch that made the night even more memorable. The entire staff was friendly, upbeat, and attentive, contributing to an overall outstanding experience. The food was exceptional, making it clear that great care and expertise go into every dish.We can't recommend The Craftsman Cocktails and Kitchen highly enough. If you're looking for a place with fantastic food, amazing drinks, and top-notch service, this is it. We will definitely be back!

Tried and won't return.There are plenty of other places at the same price point that deliver better on the food and service. No need to settle for this place.Had a party of 6 go there for dinner and it took us 2.5 hours to get through 2 appetizers (not rounds of appetizers, just one round of 2) and a round of entrees. It was over an hour from when we sat down until our entrees were served.Service: TerribleSee previous comments on food.Our server almost never stopped by the table unless we flagged her down. We had to flag her down MULTIPLE times.We had to follow up multiple times on our entrees. We were told the kitchen was backed up because it was busy. The place was 75% full and it's a small place to begin with. Overall, way too much neglect of our table and lack of communication.Food:Meh. Menu descriptions were great. Execution did not follow through. My trout was really good. Everyone else said food was OK, but nothing to brag about. Can get better at a LOT of other places. I am not a food snob and don't review that often...just when I'm really impressed...or in this case, really disappointed.

Had been wanting to try out this spot so we stopped in for drinks and dessert! Ordered an Aperol spritz (wasn't on menu) and the Smokeshow #18. Both drinks were really good and they had a great selection of specialty cocktails. We also ordered the S'mores pazookie which unfortunately was overcooked so we did not get a great taste of the cookie, but that did not stop us from finishing it :) Love the small, intimate atmosphere this place offers! Would love to come back for dinner or brunch!

Reserved our table via Open Table.Service was really good. Our waiter was attentive to the table. Took our drink order right away. Came back with our drinks and took our appetizer order and then our main dish order. Our waiter checked on the table multiple times over the course of our meal. The food and drinks were awesome. The flavor of the smoke show whiskey was great. You could taste the whisky and the cherry's mixed with the smoke. Great drink. The lemon chicken was also great. The chicken was lightly breaded with great flavor.The ambience was a little off. We did think this was a stand alone restaurant and had to dress up a bit. So, the crossover was what we noticed. No issues... just know it's one of the businesses in the strip mall section. Parking is tight too. There are a lot of restaurants in that area all competing for those parking spots. Overall it was a really nice restaurant with great food and drinks! Would definitely go again!

We swung by Friday around 6pm. Bad idea. The parking lot was packed and so was The Craftsman. Fortunately, we all found parking, (overflow at the church south across Warner) and we got the last table available. And what a find!! The drinks were excellent, some more than others. I tried several whiskey based drinks so I forgot which was which. The food was also excellent. Three of us had the Ancho Spiced Hanger Steak Chimichurri, with a mild substitution .... Swordfish for steak. Unfortunately, the swordfish was a little over cooked, but still retained its meaty and delicious flavor.The service was also excellent and not an issue for us even though they were short-staffed. Others, not so thrilled. Meh. Relax. Good things take time. If you can't spend an extra 5 or 10 minutes with the people you came with, maybe you should pick different people!!The Craftsman is a definite must!!

oOutstanding food and service. Hard to see from street. Worth the trip. Great brunch, dinner and HH. They also reimburse Uber/Lyft rides by 10% to help with parking situation fyi. Don't miss this gem! Scratch kitchen! Even the sausage is home made. Best old fashion ever along with other excellent cocktails.

I had a reservation for seven for a birthday brunch on 8/11 at the Tempe location. Upon arrival the restaurant was closed. Shortly after the reservation time, I received a call from the restaurant informing me that the bartender did not show up for work so they were unable to open. It would have been helpful to receive the call prior to the time of our reservation. We were looking forward to trying this place.
