The Crab Traphouse

Spoiler alert!I completely forgot to take a picture of our food. I will do so the next time we come because we will be going back.We were looking for a place to eat because we're from out of town and we wanted something quick but good. I decided I wanted some seafood. After checking out sanitation scores for different restaurants, we decided on this restaurant because it was scored 100 out of 100. Did not know what to expect, but we are so happy we chose this restaurant. When you walk in R&B music playing the atmosphere is very chill and not very fancy. We were greeted very warmly and excitingly! I couldn't believe this was actually a place that welcomed and wanted customers! I had the shrimp appetizer with plain garlic butter and spicy garlic butter. My wife had the catfish combo and I had the chicken wing combo. She had french fries with her catfish and I had fried corn with my chicken wings. One of the waitresses stated that we should try the food before putting any type of condiments on it. So we did as we were instructed, and we were both happy we followed her rules. The food is seasoned perfectly the catfish was fried perfectly; crunchy, and juicy. The chicken was fried perfectly I chose to get the chicken wings without the batter and they were nice and crispy and juicy. The sauces I chose were delicious. The only complaint I have is that the chicken wings could have been bigger but I do understand that the chicken wings that we get nowadays that are bigger are actually not the correct size. But, they were so good I was wishing they were bigger! We had already told them we would be back the next time we visit! This place gets 10 thumbs ups Yes you heard me I only have two but they need 10! Great job, great staff, and Great atmosphere!!

Located in Morrow, GA. We went on Saturday Sept 14th about 3pm. It was empty which I liked. TV was playing the game. And AC was pumping. Now let's get to the food review. I ordered the 2 clusters with 2 eggs & potatoes in Trap Spicy butter. I would rate my order an 4 out of 5. I felt the clusters could've been cleaned better. And I need more sauce ( as shown in my pics you can hardly see sauce). The Trap Spicy Butter was spicy I like it. My friend had the 2 clusters tray which came with sausage/eggs/potato in the Trap Garlic butter. He said the Trap Butter needed more garlic to taste more like garlic butter. He gave it a 4/5. He said he will return because it good and close to his home. My drink of choice was called the BBL MIXED WITH STRAWBERRIES, PINEAPPLES, SWEETENED CREAM COCONUT, LIME JUICE, BACARDI. COTTON CANDY RIM. Was it cute YES. Was it good YES but sweet. 5/5Will I return if I'm in this area yes !

I'm celebrating my 76 birthday and we decided to go to the Crab Trap house because of the blue crabs they sell.I was a little disappointed because the crabs were small but I must say they were meaty. The place is clean and the atmosphere is very upbeat.I did enjoy the food but wish they put all the food to the table at the same time.

Came for my fiance's birthday, she was craving blue crabs and could not find them on our side of town. We drove all the way from Alpharetta and were NOT disappointed with the customer service and food. This place is family owned and we had their Curry Habanero Snow Crab, Spicy Trap Butter Blue Crab, Lemon Pepper Wings & Fries. Wishing much more business upon them, their space was very clean and we definitely will be back!

Had the whiting combo with fries and sweet and tangy wings. You literally don't need to add tartar or anything else to the food, everything slapped. The people were great as well. Price was fair for the portion I received. Only thing I wish is that they had more non alcoholic drink options. Will return if I am in the area. Thanks !

Let's really get into it. I came here for lunch on a random Wednesday. The restaurant is located in a plaza off Forest Parkway -- Seems a little random : however The inside was cute and gave off sports bar vibes. the description on yelp states "classy". I wouldn't say, classy - very casual. They have a small host stand when you first walk in. There was a balloon arch theme for Valentine's Day. There's several tables around the area as well-- it's not a large space at all. But if you wanted to sit in and dine, it's enough space to feel comfortable. They have several seafood options, both fried, and steamed/boiled. The restaurant does have an Atlanta flare to it as far as the "trap" and branding. They have a full bar inside , with seating area around it. some of the drinks on the drink menu look interesting I was returning back to work so I was unable to try them -- this may be somewhere to have a cocktail / get out the house in the less populated area on the southside. Again the spacing isn't overly large so if you're going to drink with a friend or two, this could be a cool meet spot. Now the food--I personally did not care for the meal I got. I had the fried catfish lunch special. And I'm unsure if the grease was old or the food wasn't properly thawed because my fries were soggy, but they also weren't fried well. The outside was soggy, but the inside was still very firm. Same thing with the fish you would think it was fried hard from the appearance on the outside; when in fact, it was not. The batter on the fish could have been good, but I'm not sure about the taste - and again I blame this on the grease. I may have came on a bad day. I'll try something boiled and update my review but as of now, I wouldn't go out my way to come here. , they do have a point system where for every 100 points --you receive you get five dollars off. my meal came up to about $ 7 and change and I tipped so I received six points . The server that was behind the bar was very nice- talked me through the menu; and had an overall welcoming personality. I did not take pictures of my food - and I wish I did; the presentation and everything was fine. The quality was very subpar. I got my food to go, so I can't expand on the dine in service. Hopefully the owner reads this and is mindful of the grease. There was sooo much potential .

The food and service are both excellent. So far I've tried the crab and shrimp tray, the trap sticks (mozzarella), wings, fried fish (amazing!!!), and they were all very good. As for drinks, I've had the lemon drop, trap juice, and the Santana (top shelf Long Island). All were so good! 5/5 stars.

I think they are closed.We were going to eat there tonight but the doors was closed and padlocked.I'll go by again this weekend to double check

"Man give these folks a try!!" Absolutely delicious. The fried whiting was so tasty. The fried shrimp was fried to perfection, along with some fresh fries. We also had the shrimp boil with the trap spicy sauce. Good authentic N. Florida seafood. Make sure you try the fried calamari and corn. I'm not much of a drinker so a sweet alcoholic drink is perfect for me. Try the BBL so delicious and sweet that the alcohol sneaks up on you.

The food was great, however the service was slow. I went there on a Sunday after church and the was only one server to handle all the guests.
