One of the best restaurants I've been to in Atlanta. Wonderful service, nice ambiance and decor, delicious food, and even got a champagne birthday toast. I had the duck confit and a black ink pasta. Parking available in garage.

Came here because it came up as one of the most unique restaurants in Atlanta. It definitely didn't disappoint. The variety of beers was amazing and a welcome change from the typical beers found within the vicinity. The Hungarian menu was super good. Adding the mellow spice level of the Hungarian food on one side with the spiciness of the Tibs made it an interesting contrast. Would definitely come back at least once every three months when the menu changes. Of course, a side effect is I'm now looking for the spices in Amazon...:

What a yummy experience! Beautiful interior, comfy seating, and attentive waitstaff. I had one evening in Atlanta before a conference so made a resy for one at The Consulate. I ordered the charcuterie as an appetizer, which has three really delicious cheeses. I really enjoyed the cheese made with port wine as well as the apricot cheese.I ordered the veal schnitzel as an entree which came with a salad. If you're a non-meat eater please stop reading because that veal was DELICIOUS! I don't eat veal very often but found it was not overwhelming in this dish. They packed up what was left of my charcuterie, which I ate in the middle of the night in my hotel room!

So found this on a whim of a search. The restaurant is really cool. Lots of funky art on the walls. Spaces filled with numerous layered pieces set with the dark wood just made is great. Clay was our waiter and he exceeded expectations of service with his food insight and checking on us. His recommendations were spot on. The food was amazing. The flavors and the culinary journey the menu affords was awesome. Can't wait to return to Atlanta in a few months when it changes. SomePictures of our dishes. Amazing and highly recommend. Hard to ever give 5 stars but I would give more if I could

wowwww the consulate exceeded & surpassed all expectations. we came for my birthday dinner and it was such an amazing experience. parking is a little confusing but they explain it well on opentable. we had a reservation for 6:30pm on a tuesday however ended up having to wait 30 mins to be seated. we decided to order a bunch of items and share: ube dipped maitaki mushroom dip, manapau bao bun, satueed string beans, kaukau shrimp, kalibi short ribs, o'no furikaki salmon, octopus alla griglia, turkish cheesecake, & taro sorbet. we all agreed we could literally order ANY of these items again and be so happy. my personal fav was the ube dip (so original) or the short rib w garlic mashed potatoes. all the flavors were delicious. the taro sorbet was perfection. it was hawaii for sept 2024. the interior was so funky and cool we loved the decor. and the bathrooms were gorgeous.

The Consulate is easily the sexiest dining experience in Midtown Atlanta. Upon entering, you genuinely feel like you're in a 90s spy thriller about to feast nondescriptly, yet fully in your own personal spotlightWhile the concept has undoubtedly been explained multiple times on this platform - let me elaborate for those who read new reviews. Every 90 days - someone spins the globe and the restaurant transforms and adopts a new cuisine wholeheartedly. I was there for Paraguay and let me tell you it was BREATHTAKING. The Sopa Paraguaya quite literally changed my tastebuds and made me appreciate the effort that goes into a cornmeal dish. The Carne Asada induced a pants dropping symphony of pleasure from our table. Each dish was eloquently explained by our amazing waiter as well.I will make it a habit to come back every 90 days. And I recommend you do too.

What a find! Cool vibe, great service, delicious international food! We were in town for one night and wanted a unique atmosphere and this was perfect! The menu was all so amazing sounding so we just relied on our server to pick a few of his favorite plates we can share. That was such a great idea. Loved the ribs! Everything was good. There was a spicy shrimp and sweet potato dish, some curry with rice, potato bites, and spicy okra. We left full and had a lovely evening. Next time in town we will be sure to return.

The consulate is a restaurant with a permanent menu and a rotating menu that cycles every quarter. This time a round the menu featured foods from papa New Guinea and it was a very interesting experience ! The food was too heavy for myself and party but in any other day I'm sure I would have enjoyed it. That's the only reason they got a three. I hope I can come back when I'm in a different mood for food

One of the most interesting restaurants in Atlanta! The Consulate serves food from around the world and they change up their country of focus every quarter. We went during Papua New Guinea and I thought the food and service were fantastic and the decor is absolutely amazing, but management could be a lot better! We had a reservation for 7:15 and we got there right on time. We were told our table was still being set up and we could just wait at the bar. The bartender was nice and I got myself a tasty cocktail, but we sat around until 7:45/7:50 when our table was FINALLY ready. We were really disappointed that it took 30 min for us to get to our table even with a reservation and the Consulate supposedly has a 2 hour dining window for each table. Luckily our server was great, food came out fast, and the food was pretty good too! We started with their Munster minis and then shared the jollof rice and their Papua New Guinea national dish. Everything tasted great and portions were huge (I had 2 more dinners at home afterwards). I've only had it a couple of times, but their jollof rice was soooo good like 10/10 would always order it here!I'd definitely like to come back to The Consulate when they have a unique country on their menu, and maybe if I'm lucky, I might one day get the opportunity to spin the globe. I still think it's best to have a reservation since it's busy, but there's a chance you might not be sitting down anytime close to the time you reserve!
