The Coffee Drop

I love everything about this place! It's warm, inviting, the decor is great, and their coffee is some of the best in SD! My two favorites are their Iced Mexican mocha and iced OBSL! The outdoor area is spacious but also intimate and comfy! Best of all I absolutely love coming here to say hello to Marissa and Evan. Marissa is the sweetest person to chitchat with and Evan is a ball of energy. Overall they're just great people! I couldn't recommend this place more!

However, if you're looking for friendly baristas serving up well-done coffee (mostly espresso) using Stumptown beans and oat milk at no extra charge, they're well worth checking out! In fact, they're a non-dairy-only operation, so those looking for milk be further warned. And for those who want a little more adventure with their drinks, they have a few non-standard options too, like their orange brown sugar lattes, which are fortunately not as sweet as one might fear when seeing sweetened coffee drinks.The interior of the cafe is pretty small, with some limited bar seating for those who want a more cozy experience or what to chat it up more with the owners. For anyone else, there's a large outdoor patio space to chill in as well.Accessibility:The cafe is located up a somewhat steep hill, for those who may be trekking here without a car, but there's a parking lot for those coming with. The shop is small, but accessible if all you're doing is grabbing a coffee to go, or don't really need easy access to the bar counter. However, the patio space is up a couple steps and inaccessible.

Love this little local coffee shop and it's an added bonus for me that's it's on the same street that I live on.Owned by a husband and wife, it's got a great story of why they opened up this place. Inside it's tiny, probably space for about 4 people. However there is a larger outdoor patio. Great place to work if you're not on calls as planes fly overhead.

Amazing customer service and all their coffee options are the best in the area, which is high praise given the quality coffee shops in the hood. Extremely consistent!!!!! Give it a try, you will be a return customer.

My personal Favorite in SD! Evan and Marissa, Best owners/Baristas make the best tasting craft coffee out there! Cappuccino, Espresso Tonic and Mexican Mocha are my personal favorites! If you know coffee and appreciate craft, this is a definite must try!

This is one of the best coffee shops I've been to in several different capacities. The coffee is phenomenal -- I have never been one to like citrus in sweets, and had never thought to have it in my coffee, but their Orange Brown Sugar Latte, is incredible. It's light, refreshing, and the hint of orange is done so tastefully. Their pastries are also phenomenal. The owners, Marissa and Evan are incredibly friendly and definitely knowledgeable of their coffee. Their employee, Caitlin was also an awesome person to talk to. Overall, the service was astounding. Although the space is small, it is incredibly cute and welcoming. Certainly one of the coziest coffee spots I've been to. I could not recommend this place more!

The Coffee Drop opened up a few weeks ago and it will be a locals favorite! The owners are welcoming and friendly. Please keep in mind this location is oat-milk based, (you can request for an alternative milk).The menu is pretty simple. They offer iced/hot drinks and pastries.My go to order is the iced OBSL (Orange brown sugar latte). I am not a fan of very sweet drinks and they have mastered the perfect balance here.The espresso to syrup ratio is great + oat milk.I highly recommend the OBSL if you want something unique, tasty, and delicious.I have yet to try other drinks here, so I am basing this review off 1 specific drink I've ordered a few times + service/atmosphere.

Stopped by a coffee shop with HORRIBLE service so I ended up leaving and driving down the road to find The Coffee Drop! Thank goodness for that terrible service at the first place because I was able to discover a drink I had never come across before AND great service. I had the iced Orange Brown Sugar Latte. The owners of the shop themselves are ringing you up and making your drinks so you know they're putting in more effort to be great. They WILL sell you on the OBSL. It's got good flavor with some citrus notes in the after taste. The shop itself is tiny but it started to fill up with regulars who were big advocates for the coffee! If the owners keep up the friendly service and care they put into their lattes, they'll be around for a long time. :) See ya next time, Coffee Drop!

I just tried this place with friend and loved everything about it. The ambiance, the coffee, and the service. Evan and Marissa are so nice and welcoming and are very passionate about their customers/business. I tried the OBSL iced and it was perfect. My friend got the Iced Vanilla Latte and she loved her drink as well. It was well crafted and yummy. They only had oat milk which is perfect as I'm lactose intolerant. Please come and support them!
