4 Stars for the Real Chicago Rib House 1 star for Food ExpressWhen this place was the Chicago Rib House they had THE BEST HOT LINKS in the city. Previous owner: If you happen to stumble upon this Yelp please tell me where you are! Why did you guys close? I haven't been able to find a decent hotlink since. (If my uncles who own a very popular rib restaurant chain saw this omg........ lol)FOOD XPRESS used to be located on 31st across from Dunbar but relocated. My BF is buddies w/the owner so I've been eating their food for years now. So it all tastes the same to me kinda like hospital food. Excellent service though. Owner said he will not be replacing the sign anytime soon. LOL....

Picture speaks for itself. I would never order food from here again. My gyro was burnt...meat and bread. I Called the restaurant for a solution and was not offered a reasonable one. I just wanted a credit for a later date. Very disappointed.

The variety on the menu is staggering. Many are soul food staples. Judging from gumbo, however, it might not be all that tasty. The gumbo could have been called celery soup.

Stopped in for some bbq chicken and some fried catfish. I wish I would have kept going. The chicken needed the sauce it was drowned in because it was dry as a sand box. The dressing was downright bad. And the catfish had no flavor at all. If the chef's are reading this, y'all need to study these YouTube chefs and reinvent these dinners.

I hadn't been to Chicago Rib House in years so I wasn't aware that it had changed ownership until my arrival nevertheless since I ordered online I kept my order. Overall the food is not that good. The side dishes we had were the greens and baked potato which were flavorless and cold and the ribs were smothered with barbecue sauce. Also had the salmon burger that came with fries. It was the typical frozen salmon patty and some cold greasy fries. I guess I will not be going back anytime soon!

Appearance wise The outside looks better than the inside the inside smells like the county jail on a scale 1 to 10 looks like a three smells like urine on the corner of the door... from being in the establishment for three minutes it's called the Chicago rib house apparently that's not what they focus on they sell cheeseburgers and chicken Caesar salad's more than their own ribs.Don't be surprise if you order a meal and receive an extra little side of critter. Looks and smells fishy please be aware what conditions of establishment The staff also not so friendly. The cook was sweating so much look like his sweat was landing on the fryer beware. So I left.... Beware!!!!!!!

Ordered a Chicago dog and it came with ketchup... huh? Plus mustard, relish, and tomatoes. No pickle, no sports pepper, no celery salt.. I'm still stuck on the ketchup.
