The Calcutta Grill

I hosted my sister team for our Business from out of town and we were greeted with SPECTACULAR views of the Bellevue Skyline. My coworkers were extremely impressed with the ambience.More importantly, the food. Our appetizers were excellent. We ordered the Poke, Fries, Calamari, chicken wings. All of them I have no complaints. Everything was textured well, and tasted very good.Finally, I picked the Halibut. It was tender, well presented and very healthy. I loved the broccoli and how it reminded me of Chinese broccoli. The sauce was very light with a tomato base. Service was excellent as well, my one big gripe with Calcutta is I personally think it is incredibly overpriced ($57 halibut), otherwise I would come back

This place is located on a golf course. The parking is plentiful and the views are absolutely amazing. The food was good. Nothing memorable - food is on the pricey side. Service was good. We ordered the tofu curry, top sirloin and prime rib. The food was good just not something I would need to order again.

This is an update to my much needed outdated review. I visited this restaurant today after golf and we were seated in the outdoor patio area. It was a beautiful day and the view (Seattle to the left and Downtown Bellevue to the right) here is just ...amazing. I ordered the burger again and they now use Painted Hills beef. Which I know is very good quality but I personally feel that all restaurants that use painted Hills beef for their burgers offer quite "dry" patties. Maybe grass-feed beef... is just dry. Also the patties were slightly under seasoned and the bacon had a bit too much peppery taste. But overall it was pretty decent. Fries were excellent. Our server was very pleasant and nice. No complaints there. I would give this place a 3.5 stars but Yelp doesn't allow me to do so. I rounded the rating up a half due to the amazing location and view.

tldr: Great views. But that's it. The menu was satisfactory before, especially their signature Smoked Prime Rib. No more Prime Rib. And, now, the menu is 20% more expensive than a year ago with smaller portions... but it also no longer tastes good. Service is still bad. AVOID.Too bad Calcutta has taken a turn for the worse. The drinks and bar food is still satisfactory. Pricey, but expected for a golf course with beautiful views. The dinner isn't what it used to be. No more Prime Rib for $50. It tasted great and drew us back multiple times. Now, they have fancier meats like duck and lamb, however each is over complicated by conflicting fruity flavors and the meat is hidden by accoutrements. The flavors are confusing. The meat is also not cooked per request... medium rare turned out medium well.What a shame. Definitely not coming back here.

Delicious! This is a fine establishment located at an exquisite country club. The salmon hash was amazing...I'm craving it from Texas! As you can see...the views are incredible! Great service and clean establishment. I will be returning on every business trip that brings me to Seattle.

This is a great place to chill locally with an amazing view. I also love sitting in the bar, and the patio or the dining room. Typically the food is very delicious. I recently had the king salmon BLT for almost $30 and I wouldn't say it was that great though. I used to have it several years ago and it was the best sandwich I have had and it was $17. Way more flavorful back then but most everything else is good. I've had some very good tacos, burgers, and seafood (scallops were amazing) dishes. Also had a very good espresso martini and an extensive wine list to please any wine lover.

During our visit in Seattle, we attended dinner at the Calcutta Grill with family. Located at the top of Newcastle, they are known for the panoramic views during the summer months especially at sunset. There is an outdoor seating area -- nice when it's warm out. For starters, we ordered cocktails, Manila Clams and Calamari. For entrees, our party ordered the Grilled Chicken Cobb salad, Miso Glazed Salmon, Cajin Penne, and a Pasta Marinara. Everyone's meal was well prepared, presented, and flavorful. Our sever was attentive and checked on us often. The ambiance is nice to enjoy drinks and/or a meal with a beautiful view.

Seattle has been having some beautiful May weather so we visited on a 80 degree Friday evening. This place is known for the views and we were had prime patio seating reserved. Service was pleasant and attentive so we were off to a great start. 10/10 for atmosphere and service!We ordered the Garlic Parm Fries by way of the waitresses, she said it would be the fastest to come out - 5/10 the were nothing special, could have totally passed on these. Frozen fries with shredded Parmesan cheese that hardly stuck to the fries and lacked flavor. For our entrees we ordered the Pacific Cod & Chip, again lacked flavor, not even salt 5/10 but on a positive note I will save the serving size was appropriate for $29 at a golf course pub. We also ordered the Cajun Pasta which had the most flavor of all the dishes but wasn't worth taking home 6/10.Overall, I wouldn't return for the food but if you want decent drinks, great views and solid service I would give them a shot. We seen families with children playing at a smaller course below the patio, a wedding party and even people walking their dog all during our dining experience. The last 30 minutes of our time there a bagpipe player started marching around right below the patio playing for everyone.

Nice views, great service. Food quality is great but maybe not top notch. Best time is evenings at sunset time.

We had a lunch here. Amazing view and awesome food. Best golf course restaurant in puget sound.
