This place is awesome!! I'd give 10 stars if I could. It is a local family owned and run business. I'm a repeat customer. But I don't know the owners. This is an unbiased review. The wait staff is top notch. A real cut above any chain restaurant at which I've dined. I don't know what the owners do to recruit or pay their staff, maybe the staff are family members or friends of family. But the wait staff are always SUPER friendly and attentive. The ambience is cool with the Chicago theme. I think the owners are from Chicago. Food is tasty too. I recommend the omelets. For $15 one can have as many ingredients as you want. I strongly recommend you have breakfast here.

2.0: Chicken fried steak, scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and toast.Chicken fried steak seemed it was provided by a food vendor. Not much flavor. "Homemade" country gravy was bland and nothing savory and taste like cream only. Scrambled eggs were over cooked. Shredded hashbrowns were meh no flavor or texture. Toast was good.Staff was friendly and for what was ordered, took a bit. Basic diner. Not trying to bash but I Hop would be better. Maybe I had hi hopes. Sorry.

This place is the BEST!!! The food is seriously the best breakfast we've had in Phoenix. Super fresh and cooked to perfection. We had the classic breakfast and everything was hot and delicious. The service was super friendly and fast and the place itself is just the cutest with the regulars' names on the back of bar stools. And the ambient music playlist was upbeat, happy music which really added to the homey, baseball loving atmosphere. Definitely a local star!!!

Food is phenomenal and super consistent. That is the good news!!! Never had a bad meal here!!Mimosa however is a rip off. I asked to swap cranberry juice instead of orange juice and just for a little side of it. Received a small amount as I wanted and was charged $2 extra for it. Odd...an entire glass of juice is $3 and this is what I got. I've been here 20+ times and never been charged extra for swapping juice. My mimosa was $10 and there isn't a mimosa on their menu that is $10??? And they all have juice in them. Wasn't told this my the server and manager said it is what it is...the price of juice has gone up. No more Sunday Funday at The Breakfast Joynt!!!

Drove from Chandler to try something new. Wasn't disappointed. I ordered the waffle platter. Plain waffle with strawberries and whipped cream. Strawberry serving wasn't unreasonable, I just have an unreasonable craving for fresh strawberries on my waffle my eggs were over easy rather than over medium but my son ate them. I didn't ask but I thought the corn beef hash would be house made, wasn't but still tasted good. Country potatoes or frozen chunks of potatoes with no flavor. Surprised by that one. Boyfriend ordered the California Benedict with the loaded hash browns. Awesome hollandaise and real potatoes for the hash browns. He also ordered sourdough toast. He liked it but to me it tasted on the white bread side. Coffee was good and oddly so was the water. Didn't taste like nasty tap water. The restaurant was cute. Love the turquoise. Bathroom was very clean. Service was great. I had a lot of questions and she was able to answer them all politely. I definitely recommend giving this place a shot. Can't forget to mention that they are priced to please.

I almost did not make it to breakfast with a friend. I made the suggestion to go and it was accepted. He was not that familiar with the West side of the valley and looked up the directions so he knew where we were going. Because I recently moved I went to check the travel time and could not find directions to the restaurant. Turns out where I thought we were going had been shut down in favor of a ghost kitchen somewhere else in the valley recently and not all of their website had been brought up to date.Decor was similar to the older location. The place was clean. The staff was friendly. The food was good. I am sure we will be back again.

Just ate here on new years morning. Our waitress could not have been sweeter. We happened to get there when there was one other table. By the time we left it was getting pretty full. Our waitress was like the ideal waitress if there was like a place to go to waitressing school. Super attentive but not overly, got all the orders right and the random hot sauces and dips and such, suggested things like to go cups for the very tired parents of toddlers on New Year's Day... etc. what a lovely way to kick off the new year!! And to top it off - my husband was thrilled to see some healthier options for that breakfast burrito he was craving. Ya know - new year, new you. LOL
