Great atmosphere and great service! All the employees were welcoming and sweet. I tested out the beer brat and had a taste of the five points IPA. The brat was delicious and the IPA came close behind. Can't wait to make it back!

Very nice spot. I came for the food truck, but left drinking me a brew, which I don't usually do. It was good as well!

Always a great atmosphere and beer selection here! The wall of games that are free to play make it a great spot to hang out, grab some drinks, and enjoy a nice day whether inside or outside. Also check out their weekly food trucks, which are always amazing! The staff are always happy to give personal recommendations, and never make you feel rushed for not knowing what you want right off the bat.

Black Abbey make a variety of great, tasty beers. A good mixture--IPAs, high-gravity, sours, ports, even ciders. The staff are friendly and the prices are fair. The seating inside is moderate and there are some outdoor tables as well. The only knock against them in any way, as far as I can tell, is super limited food options as there's not really anything here to nosh on. Add a limited bar menu of snacks and this would be a perfect happy hour spot. That said, if you want good beer they have plenty of it and you can do the usual thing and get a growler to go if you like. I didn't see much in the way of a bottle shop, but it's possible I overlooked can/bottle takeout options.

As far as food, they usually have one of the better food trucks in the Nashville area outside. It rotates but is always great. The taproom has a comfy vibe with games, books and other things to do to chill out while enjoying their great beers on tap. And the beers are just great.

Black Abbey is a brewery in a city of great breweries and after my initial visit, I found it to be a fine brewery that had a good Belgian blonde ale and a place I will return to to sample another beer or two.The bartenders were very friendly and knowledgeable of the beer and the vibe of the place was very chill. You order a beer from the small bar and find a seat at one of several long tables in the tap room. Though the tap room is somewhat small, they make it work.

Finally got to check this place out after a couple of tries and they were closed.I met up with a friend there for their Beer and Cookies event on a Saturday right as they opened. It's a small space inside with a few picnic-style tables and a few bar top tables (no chairs). They had a bbq food truck in hand and roped off outdoor seating since it was a nicer day. Parking is tricky and limited here, even without a popular event going on at the brewery, but you can park around back or nearby (if businesses are closed).I have long been a fan of their 440 porter, but I went with the flight for this event paired with some badge wearing female cookies that are popular in February. Two were created especially for the pairing event. I definitely was not a fan of the pineapple IPA but I'm not a fan of IPAs in general. I'd like to get back over there when it wasn't a popular event going on because it seems really chill and relaxed there with good music playing and the bartenders seemed rushed with the crowd. It's tucked away off of Thompson Lane so definitely one of the few outside of East/Downtown that's worth checking out.

Solid brewery. Lots of games as well. They have a good selection of beers but nothing super of out the box if that's your thing. Recently expanded the patio so they now have 6 picnic tables. It's always a very chill crowd here, so if you're looking for a lively crowd this may not be it. No food here, but frequently have food trucks.
