The Beautiful Restaurant

My cousin recommended we try a historic establishment. This is a cafeteria style restaurant and definitely packed with after service patrons. It was so many delicious choices and I couldn't decide so I got 2 dinners. The first was short ribs, cabbage and dressing. Then fried chicken, macaroni and cheese with yams. I must say the shoe ribs were tender and succulent. The gravy is top tier. The lemon pound cake is to die for. The customer service from Henry was fantastic I can see why this is a neighborhood staple.

Very tough pork chops , the food was disgusting.. The restaurant workers are friendly behind the line; but the older lady at the cash register is rude. The restaurant looks older inside, but I believe it's more intimate.

Overpriced, cold beef short ribs and what tasted like canned collard greens. Dry cornbread. Not worth $30. Best thing was the sweet tea. I won't be back.

This cornerstone still has it! Super friendly, professional and engaging staff. I got my order online/pickup order in before 6pm on a Sunday; 2 Veggie plates. Collards, Mac/cheese black eyed peas, cabbage, rutabaga, white ( they ran out of the yams and called me before I arrived to substitute) Everything was delicious! Well balanced, seasoned and fresh! Soooo let's get into this review.....I'm born and bred ATL, so I've been many places in this city to eat soul food. The Beautiful Restaurant in the SWATS has been a staple since I was a kid! My parents would sometimes go here after church on Sundays. Food was always hot and good and the people working felt and treated the customers like family. Well, let's fast forward a couple of decades to what it is now. Still a neighborhood eatery, but it's definitely lost some of its soul. On this day I got the Turkey Wings, Lima beans, and cornbread dressing.....oh and let's not forget the Peach cobbler! The food isn't seasoned like it used to be, so it was a bit bland for my taste. The peach cobbler was delicious! The service was just basic, nothing to speak on. It may be a while before I'd return, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try it! It may fit your taste buds.

Service is 5 star. The food was just ok. We ordered to go, but the interior of the dining room was clean.

It has been some years since I visited this place and the atmosphere is the same. Great food, great customer service, and little parking. Will be back

My food wasn't good. It tasted like Piccadilly and was pretty pricy. First and last time going there.

Food was awesome! The turkey wings were goodttt! The catfish was, too! My hubby was undecided, so when everyone kept coming in asking for spaghetti he gave it a try. It was delicious! The staff and servers were nice and friendly! Great service!
