I discovered a hidden treasure during my visit to the Ballard farmer's market a few months ago, but unfortunately, I didn't have the chance to try it due to long queues and time constraints. However, this past weekend, I finally made up my mind to give this place a shot. It appears to be a family-run business, which adds to its charm. The prices at this establishment are moderate. Although it took some time for our food to arrive, the wait was worth it because the flavors were absolutely authentic. Without a doubt, it was the best South Indian cuisine I have ever tasted in this country.I ordered the dosa and chow chow bath, and they were incredibly delicious. The flavors were delightful and left me craving for more. I have decided to make this place a regular weekend destination, and I highly recommend it to others.

Home away from home! Excellent dosas (or Doseys, a lot of varieties at that). Fabulous pop-up at the Ballard Farmer's Market, right across the street from Cafe Umbria. Or you could just let the smell of ghee guide you to them :DThey have a lot of wonderful options like Plain/Masala Dose, Pudi Masale Dose, Chow Chow Bath (a sweet and savory combo dish), Bisibelebath (rice and lentils based tangy dish) and sometimes unique desserts too. I'm just thrilled to have a place that finally makes amazing doseys in the PNW.The doseys are crispy and tasty and a treat! They do sell out very soon. Plan early to find parking around the area which could get crazy due to the farmers market crowd. It took us 30 mins to find parking. You could follow their Instagram page (Tbk.Seattle) to keep up with their changing menu and/or their schedules. Go get a good dosey and thank me later!

This is a hidden south Indian gem that most Seattleites don't know exists right among them. And as a pop up station at the Sunday Ballard Market too. For those who know about traditional Bangalore dosas (Vidyarthi Bhavan, MTR etc) this place will be a welcome revelation, especially given the grim South Indian restaurant scene in the Seattle area. We savored their Benne (butter) masala dosa as well as their Pudi (spiced powder) dosa. And we sampled their chow-chow bhath (a mix of spiced Khara bhath and sweet Kesar bhath) too. The butter content is just apt - flavorful but not crazily indulgent. The fermentation of the batter is just right and the lingering taste is mwaah!Alas, they're only open on Sundays at the Ballard market, but maybe that's ok - good food *should* be hard to track down and a delight to discover. Enjoy, folks!

Overrated place with a lot of wait time not worth it. Tried the Podi masala dosa and halwa both were below average. They had issues with the grill but still taking orders with an hour of wait time to deliver orders. Bad service and management.

This place is a gem and a small slice of namma Bengaluru in Seattle. The dosas are authentic to my hometown, Bangalore! The USP of a Bangalore dosa is the slightly fermented taste of the batter, higher roast levels, the higher thickness and the perfect red chutney to go with it. The Bangalore kitchen dosas tick all these boxes.

Karnataka-style benne dosa - crisp outside, soft inside buttery all over - done supremely well! Chat with the owner if you are unsure about what to order - he guided us and gave us samples! Whatever else you get - make sure you get their dosas. Even if it means driving across the bridge from Bellevue and taking 45 minutes to find parking!

My husband and I enjoyed The Bangalore Kitchen's dishes and would definitely order their food again; my husband is a picky eater. I had the pudi masala dosé, and he had the chow chow combo (the veggie khara bath and sweet kasari bath). The food was simple and delightful and really hit the spot on a rainy day. The dosé was light and crispy without being oily. The mixed veggie filling was good and hearty, but I was hoping for more spices. I definitely recommend eating it with the delicious green chutney, which adds a lot of great flavor and provides a good temperature contrast to the hot dosé. Although the bath looks like cornmeal, it's made of semolina. My husband really liked the vegetables and spices of the khara and how they complimented each other flavor-wise and texturally. The chai was a very robust and spice-rich black tea without being bitter. Good flavor, but strangely we couldn't taste any cinnamon. The staff were really helpful and friendly. Service was really quick. At one point, there was some confusion over the ticketing system, but it was quickly cleared up with good communication. The location of the booth was perfect, since there was a long line due to their popularity. There was plenty of room for people waiting their turn without feeling squished and for people easily walk by. Plus the booth was conveniently located near the courtyard with the high tables.

Tried their special off idli sambar today and was disappointed.Sambar felt like boiled lentils soup. No flavour.. I was missing the tang of the tamarind. Missing the punch of the tomatoes and the smell of fresh curry leaves.Idlis were ok. They're soft but didn't give me that wow feeling. For $12.09 for three idlis and sambar, seems a bit over priced. Also I suggest to serve some coconut chutney with this.

Extremely unorganized management and poor service. There was only one griller on duty when we visited, and they were constantly receiving orders, which increased demand while decreasing supply. We had to wait a full hour and thirty minutes to receive our order because of this. The management was appalling. The owner tried to give us the cool dosa that a previous customer had rejected when our number was called. When I pointed this out to the owner, she told me that the dosa had only been out for ten minutes. You can wait longer for the next one or I can give you a refund if you don't want it. They were obviously unable to cope with the pressure and sudden influx of order. They continued to take the orders The dosa was the worst I've ever had in the US; the batter was remarkably sweet. After one hour and thirty minutes, picture yourself enjoying a sweet dosa!

Great authentic dosas ! Good take that it's present in a farmers / Sunday market . The long lines make me proud when locals are checking in as well!Slightly on the expensive side but worth it !
