I came here on a weekend day afternoon with one of my friends to try out their high tea afternoon service. It was fairly easy to make reservations to ensure you have a spot so definitely make one if you plan on visiting. The Allis, if you haven't been yet, is a beautiful venue so it's definitely picture worthy.I'm happy to say that it did not disappoint! The selection of tea was great, especially since I was looking for something that didn't have caffeine in it, so their selection was plentiful. The food tower was filled with delicious finger sandwiches and pastries that are to die for! I personally loved the fruit tart and cannoli :) my friend and I both left satisfied and will definitely be back when I get the chance!

I went there to celebrate a friend'/s birthday and The Allis did not disappoint. The restaurant if full of high ceilings and chandeliers and in the evening the lights are dimmed and the candles lit.We shared a couple of pizzas and appetizers and they were tasty. The service though has very slow, we waiting for 30 minutes to get our bill

Love love love the happy hour at the Allis (weekends included is a definite perk!) The ambience of the lounge area is very chic and luxurious feeling and I love how the seating arrangement always changes! I've been multiple times and sat in the same area but sometimes we're at a table sometimes on a couch sometimes in comfy chairs; it's always a nice surprise. Drinks are also absolutely delicious! Always several options for happy hour with various flavor profiles to satisfy all preferences. The service is excellent in that they don't come around so often that you feel like your conversation is constantly being interrupted but you are checked on often enough that you're able to order what you need. Only not giving a 5 star because I've never tried the food!

My wife and I try our best each year to recreate our first date in July at the Allis at the same time and the same exact table ( that was our only wish). The service from the Allis was above and beyond. Not only was the manager Michael, thrilled and touched that we chose to spend our dateaversary with them, he got us our table ! He then proceeded to drop off a bottle of sparkling water on the house. Unbeknownst to us, he had conspired with his colleagues to make it even more special for us. Both Mary our server and Derek , the bartender, also dropped off a special cheesecake and cocktails on the house. My only "complaint" is that we had already ordered food and drinks so we were super full LOL at the end . Anyways , thanks to the Allis staff for making us feel like the most special people in the world . P.S the Saturday martini happy hours has some damn good martinis and food ( truffle fries and croquettes ). Also can I just say I love the vibe of this place considering it is in a busy part of west Loop .

Spent the afternoon having tea with some lovely ladies at Soho House's Allis restaurant. The venue was lovely, and we were seated promptly. Our table was located on the second floor which is a little bit more quaint than the downstairs which is kind of crowded. The menu is set in advance with little option to modify. So just be aware of that if you have allergies. There was a set of 8 different teas, and I was excited to see they had a black based black Berry hibiscus tea. We ought to do the sparkling afternoon tea, which included a glass of bubbles. I got the brut champagne and was very satisfied on how it complimented the scones and some of the sweeter desserts. The finger sandwiches were tasty but I did want more I feel like they can double up on the finger sandwiches it's really not gonna cost them that much more. I saw a couple other people had ordered real food and I wish I would ordered some French fries because they looked delicious. All in all I had a really nice time and I'll come back. I do have to remember when coming for afternoon tea it literally is more about the tea and the cute little finger foods but I also wish that I was able to get more than one cup of tea. We were each given 1 kettle, and for the price point, I feel like you should be able to get at least 2 teas. We paid $73 each for the afternoon tea, and you know it was a really good time.

This was my second time at the Allis and first time enjoying the afternoon tea time. My friends and I had a great time. The tea and pastries were amazing. The service is great. The waiter was attentive and gave us really good recommendation for tea. The place is elegant and chic. Definitely a must to go with your girlfriends.

Went on a random afternoon for some tea and snacks. Was pleasantly surprised. Food was pretty good, the soup wasn't really too our taste, too sour and we prefer a bit more of a savory. But the sandwich, simple but tasty. The drinks were tasty as well. Service was a tad bit slow but could easily flag a waiter. The area itself is the hotel lobby but it wasn't too busy or loud and esthetically pleasing.

This is a perfect girlfriend brunch spot! We were able to walk in and find a seat at the bar on a Saturday afternoon around 12:30. You're obviously paying for the aesthetics and location, but they do a pretty darn good job making it feel like an elevated experience! We sat at the bar, the chairs were comfy and the vibe was great. The interior decor has a very airy but glam feel and is filled with abundant detail to take in & enjoy. The bartenders were slow to tend to us, but the whole seating area was full so I'm sure they were backed up. When we did get our drinks they had a classy presentation and tasted delicious! We split the hash brown & croque madame, they were really tasty but the pricing is high for what you're getting. Overall it was a fun experience and I would definitely go back!

The experience was literally just okay. The tea is 65 a person. Sandwiches have stale bread. The tea is Rishi tea, nothing special and I have it in my cabinet at home (a tea bag?? A high tea shouldn't be using those). They don't come to refill anything, servers downstairs are super unfriendly. Real shame because the place is beautiful to look at. There's no cream or anything for the scones, maybe the first tea I've been to without that. Took them a half hour of us sitting to even get our tea. We didn't sit in the lounge chairs/couches, the seats we had were so uncomfortable our lower backs hurt. Everything was sort of underwhelming. We left relatively disappointed in the experience we were looking forward to for a while.

This is a review for brunch -- the food is delicious but beware of the extremely slow service! It took almost 2 hours to get through Saturday brunch for 5. However, the delicious quiche, hash browns, and ricotta pancakes made up for it. I'd recommend trying this place for brunch or afternoon tea as long as you have no time constraints! Also, be sure to try the drip coffee. Best I've had in a while.
