the Albert

After living down the street for more than a year and working in the area for years on end, I have to say I'm now ashamed that I never set foot in here!!We finally broke that mistake last night, and proceeded to have drinks and pizza here with our good friends who highly recommended it !! we were waited on by the wonderful Aida and what a very private little corner upstairs! Their pizza was absolutely phenomenal and wine even better!!Aida gave us full attention full of thoughts, ideas and recommendations and I would absolutely come back here and ask for her again ! I'll be my spot if I want to get a bottle of wine with some pizza to share with my husband!! Bravo Albert!!! 5 stars!!!!!

Came here for a drink after work to celebrate a coworkers last day. The service was fantastic. They brought a complimentary piece of cake for him and a card we could all sign. Thank you to David for being the best! Was also super nice to sit outside

The Albert is a hidden gem. During our stay at the EMC2, we found ourselves returning to this restaurant for both breakfast and dinner multiple times. The service was impeccable, and the food was consistently delicious. The dinner menu offered unique and tasty options, and we couldn't resist trying the martini and crustini combo on the Happy Hour menu. The smoked duck and mushrooms side dish was a standout, and the desserts, particularly the chocolate cake, were a sweet ending to our meal. The Albert has definitely exceeded our expectations and we highly recommend it.

Amazing restaurant. Amazing service. Our server was David and he was so professional and attentive. They also had live music. Will definitely go back here again soon.

Delicious! Fast service and the food was delicious. Great recommendations by our server. Not pictured are the Quixote and a Chardonnay, which were both great as well.

I've eaten here several times since my first review, and have stayed at the amazing hotel (to be reviewed separately).Since that time I've had multiple other dishes, sides, and drinks, including the tagliatelle, the layered potato torte, and several other cocktails.The food and drinks are awesome--the service is better. I've had three different servers and they all been wonderful. And Michael, whom I think is an ambassador for the restaurant, remembered me from previous visits and treated me like royalty.My business in Chicago is coming to an end, but I'm sure I'll return--this will likely be my go-to hotel and restaurant forevermore.

Ate here while spending a day in Chicago. It was up the street from my hotel so I just went. It was restaurant week during the time (early march) so they had a 3 course deal going on. I got the tuna tartar app which was so delicious. The 4 cheese ravioli (either 3 or 4 cheese can't remember) for entree also delicious. And flourless chocolate cake for dessert also so delicious. I also got the truffle fries side and lemon elderflower vodka lemonade drink. Literally everything was delicious. I cleaned every plate and left no crumbs. I was full after everything I ordered. I think the sizes were smaller for that special menu but idk. If that was the regular size of the ravioli and I had just ordered that it would not fill me up. I think the price was reasonable on the lower end of expensive. No complaints. The service was also good.

The food here is decent but not great. The service was definitely better than the food. Everyone is pleasant. The ambiance is cool. The gnats are a nuisance. We ate breakfast inside one day and dinner outside on another day. Each day our experience, food and drinks were ruined because of the insane amount of gnats. At one point there was a swarm of gnats around our table and food. We gave in and decided to just be done with eating our meal because we were so tired of swatting them away and a bit disgusted.

We just left Albert and I can't say enough good things!! The service was top tier and everything we had was absolutely delicious. The standouts were the tuna appetizer, the steak with the potatoes and brussels sprouts. The risotto was delicious and everything just had a great twist to it. The general vibe is great! Wednesdays have live music and we loved the band that was playing. The cocktails were great. Can't wait to come back

Our waiter Steven S. suggested the best espresso martini just off the magnificent mile!!!! The herb crusted chicken was cooked to perfection basking in a bed of Arugula. The tagliatelle pasta was delectable when paired with the perfectly crisp Brussels sprouts. Chefs kiss!!! Ambiance is a 10/10 beautiful paintings mixed with a leather bound book library vibe.
