Beautiful view of marina and Elliott Bay, interesting history. Google map directions takes you you to base of stairs (locked gate) rather than driveway to the house (private locked gate)

I got married here summer of 2016 and could not have picked a butter place with the view and aesthetics! But be prepared for some logistical challenges. Here's a few we encountered:- it didn't seat as many as their floorplans said - make sure to bring your wedding coordinator & tape measure with you to the wall thru before you book- there wasn't enough power from the house to power the lights in the outside tent and the bathroom. Make sure you get a generator for this- we couldn't get the sound system in the house to work. Make sure you have a plan B!- the driveway is one way and Uber drivers will go up it - I'd recommend blocking off and getting the butler service to take people up and down to prevent traffic jams.

A classic Seattle setting with a beautiful view, tucked into Magnolia Bluff. The historic Admiral's House overlooking Elliott Bay has recently been remodeled, and is quietly making itself available as an event space for weddings & parties. The house and grounds can probably accommodate up to 150 people. Parking at the house is limited, so it's best to plan on offering valet parking for your guest. There is ample parking at the bottom of the hill under the Magnolia bridge. Inside the house, you'll find several rooms, including a bar and fireside room, as well as a large dining room with a dance floor. Outside, a circular driveway around the house offers access to an amazing view looking north over the bay. You'll look past the marina where the cruise ships dock to downtown Seattle and Mt. Rainier beyond. Voted best new place to have a wedding in 2014 by Seattle Magazine!

We held our wedding at the Admiral's House in September and it was the perfect venue for us. It was extremely important to me to find a venue that showcased Seattle for our East Coast family. And it was extremely important to my husband to find a venue that was private and didn't have strangers walking around. We looked at nearly every venue in the greater Seattle area but nothing resonated with us. Then we found the Admiral's House. It is extremely private (no neighbors to bother), it is has a jaw dropping view (Downtown, The Bay, The Marina, Rainer), and it provides you will a cozy indoor/outdoor space you can completely personalizeYou do need a planner to throw an event here. Not only does Admiral's House's contract require it, but it's truly a blank slate so you'll want a professional to organize everything you'll need to bring in, setup, and breakdown. It's not a huge space, but we comfortably fit a tent seating 120 and a dance floor in the front yard. Bill, who is the main contact at the property is extremely helpful, flexible, and willing to accommodate. We strongly recommend The Admiral's House to anyone looking for a homey, unique wedding with a stunning Seattle backdrop.

This venue is SPECTACULAR. My husband and I are both from Washington state but now live on the east coast. The Admiral's House was the perfect mix of a beautiful, historic homes you can find on the east coast, set right on the water with incredible views of the city and Elliott Bay (to show off why Seattle is the BEST city in the country to our out-of-towners). Bill was really easy to work with and very responsive. It was definitely worth the investment - we couldn't have been happier or had a better venue for a day that we will never forget.

What a beautiful venue! Held an office meeting and dinner there and it was great; helps that it was a nice evening so made the view that much better. They've added a flat screen in the room, so that was an added plus for the presentation. I'd go here again for another meeting or having a large party/wedding.
