The 5 Spot

Went for the first time for the Funky Good Time Dance Party. Cover was just $10 which for Nashville is pretty cheap. It was absolutely amazing, great dancing and great cocktails. Bartender was nice and the bathrooms were clean. Has a pretty neat area for smoking or if you just need to be able to hear yourself think. Will be going again soon for either a Motown Monday or another Funky Good Time Dance Party

We were in Nashville for a few days and after dinner our first night decided to head to the 5 Spot because it was nearby. We figured being the music-centered town it is, we'd have decent luck most places (and could move along if we didn't).The 5 Spot was great! We likedthe vibe, both bands we heard, and the selection of beer, n/a, and CBD drinks available in addition to liquor. It's a great dive/music venue and we arrived to a decent crowd even at an early-ish hour (we arrived around 8:30). We'd definitely be back next time we're in town.

Located near East Tennessee , this bar is such an amazing music venue and bar. Very fun and the bands were very good. We sat at the bar . Great views of the bands. The drinks were great. It's a good bar with nice vibes . Cover was $10 and drinks were about $10 to $15 .

The 5 spot has always been and always will be the best bar in east Nashville...They pivoted during Covid to help local musicians as well as their staff that were feeling very isolated by starting live streamed shows. Not only are they a great bar to hear great music in, not only do they serve better than average food from a food truck out back, but they are a pillar of the East Nash community and they wear the crown for the best small music venue out east.Long love the 5 spot

I honestly hate leaving bad reviews but I've been to the 5 spot a few times before and have had this issue twice. My boyfriend and I went there for NYE this past weekend and when tabbing out tipped $15 on a $20 tab. I have now been charged $50 but since I don't keep receipts from bars I can't dispute it. I was not inebriated and am completely sure of what was paid. Unless there was a $15 charge for tabs that night, someone just added to their tip.

Had a great time at the 5 Spot last Friday night. Saw Tim Carroll and he ROCKED! The drinks were top-quality, very generous pour. Had the chicken wings with fries and they were DYNOMITE! I will definitely be back. This place has a nice vibe and being so close to 5 Points, it's very easy to park & walk to the venue. A great mix of young and old enjoying the rock & roll!

I love this little dive bar. Small, friendly crowds.Seen a couple really cool bands like Tim Carroll trio, and the Tiger Beats.The french fries here are so good I get them every time.Just a great spot where you can go see a band at 6pm, and be home before it gets dark.Super easy to get to, and parking is not hard to find.

Motown monday is amazing! $5 cover and just really lovely vibes. I will say that one of the bouncers (the person taking the money) was horribly unpleasant to pretty much every person that they spoke to. I am assuming they were just really tired/fed up from work but was just incredibly disrespectful to many of my queer, POC and young friends. Very much fostered a hostile vibe initially but the overall atmosphere, kind bartenders, good music, and tasty drinks made up for it. So just a word of advice; if the person taking your money is a person with dark short hair and glasses, they will assume you are an incompetent idiot/drunk person (especially if you are a fem presenting person) and make you feel like crap. I noticed their anger/frustration was mostly towards young folks (like freshly 21 and early 20s) and I am assuming they were just trying to set a precedent of "don't eff off around here". Regardless, if you have anxiety and behavior like that makes you feel triggered, stay strong, be as kind/respectful as you can, and keep your head up! Still had a good night despite this person's heinous energy. Peace and love!

Horrible hospitality. Door man was rude. We wanted to dance. Wanted to know when the DJ started. Said he didn't know and wanted us to pay cover first. Said to go back to broadway where we could get treated like the sh** we were.

Love the music! Especially The Tiger Beats and the Motown Monday nights dancing! So much fun. I can't wait to get back there again and I recommend it to everyone who has never been there before! Cool place and atmosphere! Normal drink prices! Super nice bartenders and service is great!
