Service was definitely a 5 star! The food is where my rating comes from. I ordered the burger, I know at a restaurant like this? But I heard good reviews and wanted to some fries. The fries were good! The burger was dry for the most part. The collar greens, in my opinion, do not go well with the burger. Luckily I got it on the side. It was very sweet. My virgin drink was the hop skip which was yummy!

The great - atmosphere, vibe, and service is excellent. I walked in and it smelled fantastic! I got so excited.Cocktail was solid. The food...The chicken livers were cooked perfectly but not a hint of seasoning could be found. Even the sauce was bland. Wonderful crispy and crunchy but that was it.The salad - I love trying new takes on Caesar salads. The in-house smoked trout was the only bright spot. First bite of the salad all you could taste was salt. The lettuce seemed to only be dressed with water. None of the usual Caesar zing or creaminess to be found. Outside of the layer of salt the only actual flavor was if you got a bit of trout. The steak- beautifully cooked and tender. Again, under seasoned. The sauce helped to offset this a bit. the kale and mushroom garnish was light and tasty. The potatoes square was thin layer after layer of potato that had the faintest hint of goat cheese. I liked the idea of it but again the execution of each item lacked the flavor to justify the price.I ate but can't say it was a satisfying meal.

My colleagues and I spent a week in Nashville for a conference and ate at several locally-owned restaurants. The best was 404 Kitchen. Our server, Brandon, was exceptional. A member of our party has a severe gluten allergy. Not only did he inform her of the gluten-free options, but he also made sure the chef was aware to be extra cautious. The three of us shared the whole chicken, brussel sprouts, cornbread, creme brulee, and yogurt parfait. Everything was perfect and we had enough left for another person. The drink menu was unique making it difficult to choose just one. We each tried a different option and all were pleased. I would definitely visit again if I'm ever back in Nashville.

Very disappointed! We were looking forward to our Thanksgiving meal and this place was just filled with disappointment! We made reservations but still had to wait so my husband decided to grab a drink His drink was $16 and gave the guy a $20. The guy asked if he wanted change. Problem number one! You should not ask, you must give people their change and let them decide how much they want to tip. My husband said yes and the bartender replied. Oh, the actual total is $20 and walked away!!!!!! What in the world?!?! My husband didn't make a big deal at the time because we haven't had dinner and didn't want "the special sauce" served with our meal! Problem number 2 - We finally got called for our reservation and were told to go upstairs where a bunch of people were waiting to be sat! Horrible system! One of the servers saw that a crowd was forming and decided to great us. The group ahead of us said that the hostess already acknowledged them so he greeted us. He asked for our name and said he was just going to check on our table. As he was checking, the hostess got there and said "name" no hi/hello welcome to blah blah blah. I said ... hi, a gentleman was already checking on our table and oh he's on his way back and her reply "name" Third strike you're out! The thanksgiving dinner was so bland! Nothing worth raving about! After all the crap! We were at least hoping for a good meal and this place was just full of disappointment!

I was drawn to 404 Kitchen because I'm Celiac but my husband is not, so we wanted gluten free food that still tasted good to "normal pallets." 404 delivered! We each got a craft cocktail and split the Caesar salad, fried chicken, twice baked blue cheese potatoes, and cornbread. Everything was delicious (my husband confirmed multiple times how good it tasted!) They were able to make the Lodge dessert (brown butter cookie) gluten free as well, which was heaven. We took food back to our hotel because the servings were generous, and leftovers the next day still tasted great. The service was great, the dining room was a little dark but very classy.

404 kitchen was a great spot for dinner! Cute ambiance and great service. I got the Burrata Salad and the Trout which was to die for! Everything looked great on the menu and I enjoyed my visit! The burrata salad was simple but full of flavor. Id recommended sharing this. I love anything Salt & Vinegar so when I saw the potatoes that came with the trout I knew that was my choice! Id recommend sharing a few apps and salads and then do a large format option! I would definitely come back and try more!

Went here for a bourbon tasting event. The room was gorgeous and the bar tender talking about the bourbon event was amazing. They even had live music playing in the corner. We didn't try any of the food but the atmosphere was great and it was a great event. I would come back to try the food and the other area of the restaurant!

If looking for a lovely evening for either appetizers and drinks in the downstairs bar or a fulll dinner, this is a must do in Nashville. The breadth of bourbon offerings is unrivaled.

I have been looking forward to eating here for quite a while and it was OK. The vibe is cool. The service is good. It's kind of hard to figure out how to get in the restaurant and then when I did, there was no one in the vestibule to direct you as to where you were going to die either downstairs in the bar or upstairs where the restaurant actually is. I sat at the bar downstairs. I was never offered anything to drink other than water which was fine. There was a trainee behind the bar, but the experienced bartender was very nice and offered great service. The food was OK. The smoked beet salad with whipped feta was, not that great. The smoked flavor took over the whole dish and the whipped feta was not really whipped but heavy and lumpy. I ordered the fillet which was cooked perfectly, but it was so salty that that's all I could taste throughout the whole dish. The Blondie dessert was nice. I might give them another try, but it wasn't overwhelming.
