What? Good thick, rich, flavorful Thai curries in NC??? Yup! Been searching for my favorite go-to Thai spot for years and Thai Angle is it! Have had a few specialty dishes, noodle dishes, and a few curry dishes; ALL of which were impressive. We have only had take-out so I can't comment on the service. I can say that we have never had any mistakes on our orders to go. ALSO - the inside of the restaurant looks and smells GREAT -They have a pretty big bar too. I would happily go here on a date or with family or friends. Thai Angle - Thank you for coming to the neighborhood!

Do not order mixed drinks at this restaurant. I ordered 2 different mixed drinks here on different nights ($14 each). I couldn't taste or feel any alcohol. On the second time, I asked if there was in fact any alcohol in the drink and the bartender offered to add a little more. He poured in less than a quarter of an ounce then wanted me to pay for an additional shot if I wanted any more. You are essentially paying $14 for mostly ice and a little juice. Also pretty much every dish we ordered was completely out of balance flavor wise - obscenely sweet. Savory Thai food is not supposed to be primarily seasoned palm sugar.I've had a couple great dishes, but the rest weren't worth ever ordering again. I really wanted to love this restaurant but have mostly been disappointed. Don't ever order their cocktails!

This is the best Thai food in Durham (and honestly, probably also chapel hill and raleigh). I went yesterday and the food is phenomenal. The wings, papaya salad & pad Thai are my favorite, but everything I've had is always excellent (and I'm extremely picky about my Thai food). This is authentic and the real deal. Sure, sometimes the service can be a little slow if they're understaffed, but that's no reason to give them a bad rating! I've only ever had good experiences here, and when everything is cooked to order I'd prefer they take their time making everything as delicious as possible. When I first moved to durham, I was disappointed that there wasn't any good Thai food available (the others aren't authentic). This place is legit! Also lol at the reviewer who asked for "hot", then knocked off a star because it was Thai-level hot & not white people hot. Don't order hot if you can't handle Thai levels of hot!

Probably my favorite Thai restaurant??!?I really liked everything. The service was good and quick and nice. The ambiance was good too. Lots of natural light near the windows!!It was easy to get a table on a Thursday night. You probably don't need a reservation on weekdays. And the food was really good. You know I love a big portion. The portions weee good. The crispy tofu was amazing. It was actually really crispy!!!! Crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Best tofu I have ever had!

We made a last minute reservation after a tour of Duke University and got seated at a table for 8. We ordered a whole bunch of things and everything was excellent. For drinks we had another of red wine and some Thai iced teas , we got the veggie spring rolls, egg rolls, chicken wing s, 2 kinds of soups the chicken wonton soup and Tokyo's chicken, main course was shrimp fried rice , chicken green curry, chicken pad Thai, , cashew beef and salmon . It was good portion sizes , attentive service and tasty food. Overall a pleasant experience!

We've been back to Thai Angle several times since our first review, and it has quickly become our favorite Thai spot in Durham! We normally don't order Pad Thai, but at Thai Angle, the dish was super flavorful and the portions lasted us a good 2-3 meals! The Green Curry was made with a nice kick of spice. We also tried their Crab Rangoons, which were very cream-cheesy if you're into that flavor. Upgrading our review to a 5, they've only improved since opening!

I think this is a newer place but they have great food and friendly servers. We were seated quickly, ordered water and submitted our order within minutes. The employees kept moving and worked well as a team...filling water, removing empty dishes, checking in...And the food was delicious with a generous serving size. I've been to probably a dozen Thai restaurants and this ranks up near the top.

The food here is delicious! The Papaya salad is some of the best I've ever had.Everyone in my party was highly satisfied with what they ordered.Thai Iced tea was also some of the best I've had. Not overly milky or tasting like mix but really tasing like brewed tea. 10/10 highly recommend.
