(G)o or no go - GOoO! This is the HOTTESt rooftop bar in West Loop for summer 2024! You can hear this rooftop from ANY restaurant in West Loop..also very cool to enter through that secret entrance hidden behind a fridge(W)ow - You'll be drunk off the ambiance alone. Plus it's loud and rowdy - so the people watching is part of the fun. (A)ge- mid to late 20s and 30s. Surprisingly some corporate groups after 9pm. Guess it's a happy hour spot for the tech companies in the area - looking at you Google (M)enu - The nacho bites come drenched in cheese and LOADED with brisket. To that effect, the nachos were a little soggy but still solid and protein heavy. As for the tacos - the honey hot chicken taco was clearly the king of the platter. Spicy with just a hint of sweet! Scrumptious

We came here on a Wednesday evening for a work happy hour to celebrate one of our colleagues. It was very easy to make a large reservation (~30 people). Some of our group got there early to make sure there would be plenty of food already there once the rest of the group got there. Unfortunately, once they got there the hostess said that we could not sit at our tables, which were empty with reserved signs on them, until more than half of our group was there. Realizing the somewhat ridiculous situation, a manager later decided to let the group sit down at our empty reserved tables, but it would've been nice to not have to deal with that.Once we got seated, it was smooth sailing from then on. Cody was the real MVP and made sure nobody had an empty glass or empty plate. He had an almost omniscient sense of where to be and when to be there. The margs he brought were delicious and the food was pretty good too. Pair that with the warm but covered rooftop patio and it made for a great happy hour. I hope to come back soon.

Texan was recommended as a fun place for late night cocktails. It was certainly a popular spot. But almost too popular, you couldn't move easily through the crowd or get to the bar to order a drink. There was a server walking around, but he'd only bring us drinks if we ordered a round for the table. I enjoyed the country music and the open patio windows, but it was so loud and so crowded it wasn't necessarily fun.

Some of the best nachos I ever had! They are individual nachos so every portion has the perfect amount of food. Will definitely be going back there for those. Tacos were also great! It seemed very loud inside but sitting outside in great weather was perfect.

Went here for happy hour and it was great! You get to sit on the rooftop which was a bit hot for a summer day but it has a cover but no AC or fans. $5 appetizer bites which were delicious, got the nacho bites and guacamole and chips. $8 frozen margs which were pretty strong and $3 tacos which were good. I got the Birria taco which tasted very flavorful. I also got the fish which was a little dry but it was $3. Would come here again for the happy hour.

If you're looking for a fun summer location to grab drinks with friends, this is the place! This bar is a rooftop location, overlooking a busy street in west loop. Good music, younger crowd of people and strong drinks! They also had a whole menu of food, classic tex mex cuisine.

We are back, baby! This has become a go-to spot for me in West Loop! Unfortunately, I think I am going to have to take a little break after this last visit. I want to make it clear that the current issue at Texan Taco Bar has nothing to do with staff and everything to do with their guests. Security was doing their best, but man people get rowdy here! We sat next to a peachy guest who thought it would be a good idea to climb up onto her barstool and try to... hang from the ceiling? Touch the AC? Not to mention the noise being almost unbearable. I think the staff is trying to get ahold of the guest behavior, as I was stopped by security for walking out with my cup of coke. I wish he wasn't so belittling to me (and that he didn't stick his nose in my non-alcoholic drink), but I understand that he probably has to deal with a lot of guests who are actually trying to sneak out alcohol. I just wish he took the second to recognize that I wasn't drinking and wasn't so patronizing.Maybe one day I will return! The food is great! The crowd control is not.

Super fun spot! Some friends and I stopped in here for a drink and I'm so glad we did. The weather was a rare 50+ degree February day, and with all the windows open it really felt like a summer day in Chicago. The space is a super cute rooftop bar that looks like it was plucked straight from Austin. The bartender was very sweet and took our orders right away. I went with a spicy margarita. It was tasty and had just the right amount of spice. Only suggestion I would make it putting it in a cup with a salted rim, since that's my favorite part!We didn't eat, but I want to come back and try the dessert menu because WOAH -- it sounds epic!

This place is located in the bustling Fulton Market area and is huge! The noise level can be overwhelming, and the space tends to get quite crowded. We got seated upstairs in the patio area that had great views of the city. To start off, we had chips and salsa that were pretty delish. For mains, I did 3 taco plate with the savory Al Pastor to the sweet and spicy l Honey Chile chicken and the flavorful Baja-style fish tacos. I believe we would have enjoyed this place more had it been a little less loud.

We walked in with no reservation, went to the rooftop, Toni took our number to wait for a table. They were so sweet from that moment and then recognized us as soon as we came up to get the table. So sweet the ambiance was amazing! Couldn't have had a better experience!!
