Terry's Kitchen

Sadly, I got food poisoning First off, Renton and Newcastle are a food desert and places like this are essential to changing that. So although my review should be concerning, I encourage others to continue to support this business. I used to love this place for their fish and chips. Best fish in chips in Washington aside from the Fish Shack in Tacoma. My wife and I ordered fish and chips to go the other day. They were not as good as they used to be. Now Ivars has better fish in chips. Also, the tartar sauce gave me food poisoning. I won't elaborate why I know it was the tarter sauce but take my word for it. If I wasn't 100% sure I wouldn't make this claim in a review. If the owner reads this review, I encourage you to talk to your cooking staff and make them aware. They might be doing something to give themselves easy access to the tarter sauce during the dinner rush and in the process not storing it at the right temperature. I called and left a message to have the owner call me back but didn't hear back so leaving this information in a review. Now that I won't be eating at Terry's Kitchen I'll try to go to their pool room. At least I can order drinks to bring them some business that way. Others should continue to support this business.

One of my favorite things in Hawaii is there fried rice. So very thankful to have it even closer. Also, I recently went back to Hawaii and had what I thought was my favorite rice and now I realize Terry's kitchen hands-down kitchen sink will always now be my favorite.They also make amazing fish and chips, salmon, with wasabi sauce, and the crispy chicken with almond sauce. It's all delicious.Great people with friendly service and ambience is clean and nice.

Food was amazing! Service was spectacular and the waiters were very nice too! It's a nice space for hanging out on a weekend and I would say a nice sports bar, it's clean and also very spacious! Would highly recommend this place too, has several pool tables and also event spaces for rent!

Good vibes, great staff, and GREAT service! Had my sister's 40th bday here! We had a blast. I wished they had more liquor selections though! They had Hennessy VS, but no VSOP. They didn't have Casamigo reposado, or Trulys! We made it work though! The location is in the cut of Newcastle with plenty of parking. The food was pretty good too!

Definitely a nice cozy restaurant. Yet it appears to have plenty of tables and chairs. I had the chili moco. They also have a loco moco. But there's lots of choices on the menu. They have a customizable burger, steak, fried rice, katsu etc. it's an eclectic menu. So there's many different food genres to choose from. The restaurant is unassuming and you'll be pleasantly surprised when you get inside. The staff is friendly and efficient. The food is done well and served up in a timely fashion. I will be returning and bringing others.

Feels like Hawai with a blend of many Asian favorites. The menu is extensive. You feel like family, full service bar, the owner Terri came out to greet and check on his guests. We had to get the famous garlic chicken wings along with the spareribs. I would highly recommend getting these as starters while you order your food. I enjoyed the salmon which was not over cooked. Service was wonderful, food came out hot. This place looks like a meeting place after an event. They have pool tournaments and live music on the weekends too. People were here post basketball games. Wished I lived closer to come every weekend. This is truly a community dining place.

A solid spot. Quite hidden/tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, but seems to get pretty busy especially on weekends. Family/POC owned spot. There is actually quite a large space available, with the front room seeming to be more cozy for dining, and the larger room to the back left being more for pub-like drinking, sitting with groups, at the bar, or playing pool. Good asian fusion options. A little pricey but food seems to be on par.

There's this soulfulness that keeps us coming back to Terry's and a lot of that stems from what you remember from a day long ago of what food was all about. That connection carries on here with roots of their menu stemming back to South Seattle with a unique blend of American and Asian cuisine all into one. Where else can you find a fried rice called T's kitchen sink filled with hamburger, bacon, ham, hot links, egg, onions and peppers. One of their classics is the T's Chinatown Garlic Spareribs which are small but meaty pork spareribs sauteed in an Asian garlic soy sauce that are awesome on rice! This time around we opted for the Reuben sandwich and a burger filled bacon and cheese and all the fixings. While you get French fries we always opt for our old school fav tater tots. To round out our dinner don't forget to get their hot apple pie with two healing scoops of vanilla ice cream. The service is always great and the day we were there landed on the holiday week and despite being slammed our server was hustling to every table making sure everyone was happy and kept tabs on filling our water glasses too. The ambiance is lovely and in the back room is their bar that has a variety of pool tables and huge TV monitors.

We tried a couple of the specials tonight. Went with a group of friends so we had the chance to try a bunch of stuff. :)Wings - always on order. Same for the tots as we never fail to order some for the table to share on every visit.Tonights specials were the Chili Colorado and Hawk Fried Steak aka chicken fried steak.Both excellent. Fork tender chunks of meat in the chili. Same for the Hawk Fried steak. Oftentimes chicken fried steak can be a bit chewy/stringy but not here. 100% happy. Keeps us coming back for sure.

Food was good. The kitchen sink mix-up was FIREEEE. The best part of the loco moco was the hamburger. We're thinking of getting the kitchen sink mix-up and adding the hamburger patties on it next time. The server was quick and helpful.
