Tequila Cowboy

When friends or family are visiting Nashville, and we make the unavoidable trip to Broadway, this is where we typically end up first. Tequila Cowboy is a decent option at any time of day ... whether it's the middle of the afternoon and there are still children present, or it's 11 p.m. and bachelorettes have overrun Broadway. I can't speak to their food offerings, but the bar has some fun cocktails and a good selection of cans and bottles. Service is hit or miss based on the time of day ... obviously the busier the place is, the more the bartenders are trying to juggle. Any time I've been, the live music is one of the best parts of the overall experience! Artists rotate and change sets regularly - and I think they're doing a good job of mixing up their talent. I will say if you're looking for a "local" experience in Downtown Nashville, this is not it. That said, there's nothing wrong with embracing the touristy side of Music City every now and again.

Stopped in to have a beer. Pretty cool. Good service. Live music. Not as busy as other places. We didn't eat but what food we saw coming out looked tasty.

One of the more restaurant than bars on the strip. Still has live music and a bit of an older crowd during the dinner hours. Got a seat at the bar and was serviced quickly. A few special spins on cocktails on their menu. Good portion sized, flavors were a little above average for a busy bar and restaurant.

This place is on the lower ground level by the stairs to the Jason Aldeen Rooftop bar. We almost missed it but I heard a great band playing and was trying to figure out where it was coming from - they had a speaker that was broadcasting the band inside so I made my husband walk in. We enjoyed them so much that we sat for the rest of their set - which was only another 4 songs but still, the next band was great also! This is an expansive and comfy bar with a large stage area and a Great Wall bar and central bar with plenty of seating and tables. It was comfy and easy to spread out inside.

Ambience is nice! Good music!Service well you have to go to the bar to order and they will bring it to you haha we had to figure that out the hard way ! But wow the food was delicious!Tenders were delicious !Nachos come in a cool tin which you pick up and the nachos fall on the plate! Super fun!Pork Sammy was yummyThe brisket Sammy was good but they burnt the toast a little so he was so happy with that but still good!Chili dog was good But my fav was the Mac and cheese... sooo good! Altogether great place!

Had lunch here and enjoyed splitting a Reuben sandwich with fries. We sat at the bar and listened to the band which was quite good. If you're ever here, remember to specify that you want the house liquor because it's three dollars cheaper a drink, otherwise the manager told the bartenders to grab the Jack Daniels or other name brand liquor so you can get three extra bucks per drink. Just a hint to save some money because if you are day drinking you're going to need it. Thanks for the bartender, who shared this tidbit of information with us

Great place. Shout out to bartender Shelby. She heard us talking dinner plans. We wanted a little fancier. (Packing a lot into a very short trip.) Had something picked but gave us great tips. We have always went with the local recommendations so was easy to cancel and go with her opinion. She did not fail. It was anwesome. Stopped back this am to give our thanks. She remembered us and was worried that she didn't do us right. She didn't have to recommend but she did. Love this kind of person.

We were glad to find that they allow kids under 21 until 8:45pm. Most of the bars with live music were over 21. The band was great. We're not huge country songs but they played enough songs that we were familiar with.

Live music was excellent! Bartender and drinks were excellent. Highly recommend sitting at the bar and letting Shelby-Rae pick out what you're drinking! She made great drinks, great personality and made you feel like a local.

great laud back feel that was comfortable. Shelby Rae was amazing, very kind, inviting and funny! She made the atmosphere that much more enjoyable.
