Tempura Grill

Today I tried Tempura buffet for lunch around 12:30 and it was great! The restaurant was clean and there was variety with the food. I'd probably like to see a little more vegetarian options, but here were a few along with meat entrees: goat, fish, beef, chicken.The naan was also fresh and fluffy- they make it in an open kitchen! Staff was very friendly too.I'd definitely go again when I'm in the area!

The definition of Worst Food is Tempura Hilcroft Horrible experience, after waiting for half an hour they pick my call and then ask me to wait for another half an hour to pick my order & that was my biggest ever mistake done in my life....I order for poori cholay, paid extra for extra poori and the comedy of error is that they gave me Re Heated Pooria from the microwave. They think that all Pakistani are fool and they don't know the difference between a fresh cooked n re heated poori....Shame on you Tempura...black spot on Pakistani community.....

I had their buffet and was not really impressed. The side dishes were okay, but not not great. I'd give one star for the meat selections, because I'm not a fan of dark meat chicken and that is all they serve. I did enjoy the hot chai tea, which was spiced well. Yum

In LIFE, I have made BLUNDERS and MISTAKES and one notable blunder was to dine at this location for lunch today. I was so disgusted, upset, and enraged when I left. I wouldn't even serve this food to my pets, much alone Humans. We got here around 2ish and went to the buffet. The food items looked old and dried up. The only reason I didn't leave was because my friend had already grabbed food on her plate and at that point, we felt it was too late to abandon. I wish I could have just left. I was just annoyed the entire duration. I was so disgusted that I didn't even bother taking pictures, but here's a breakdown of some of the items:Biryani was stale, dry and no meat Chicken tandoor was cold dry piece sitting kabob were completely dark and dried upOkra was tasteless with no flavor Haleem was dry as if it's been sitting for a day or 2Potatoes were watery The buffet itself looks dirty Fried fish looked like happy meal from McDonalds The Chinese food section was awful looking Karhai Chicken. Stale, barely luke warm The only thing that was barely fresh and possibly earned them a star is the naan they came along with the puri, but we were so disgusted with the food that we didn't even finish the bread. They had brewed tea with milk in the percolator which was decent. They charge u $14.99 for this piece of crap food which is. Not even worth $1.99. Shame on them!!! And here came the most painful part when I had to pay for this ______. Avoid yourself the pain and suffering and just go somewhere else. With such atrocious food and service, I wonder how long they will stay afloat.

The name belies the variety that's available.They could gussy up the place a little more but I have to say that despite the initial impression (cleanliness etc) the place does come close to home made foodAnd they have also figured out that no Desi place can function without Chai so there is a hot chai pitcher at site :) The halwa variety could improve a little as could the Pooris for the Halwa but overall I didn't see the severe concerns that other people who have left extreme reviews belowIt is acceptable in its ambience, above average in terms of its variety and space and average with authenticity (for the Houston market)Yes I'd come here again and bring friends

Regretfully ate here and I hate writing bad reviews, but the food here was bland. Hands down, their hot and soup was not hot or sour. It tasted like a warm bowl of Tabasco sauce. The salad bar even had small nat flys on and around the food. I do NOT recommend coming here.

I went in expecting one thing and was surprised to see just how beautiful and simple the interior was. Perhaps it's because they use this venue as a banquet hall to host events. On my first visit, it was very quiet and the staff were very observant and attentive. The Naan here is made as you request it so each basket is very fresh and warm unlike most buffets. The goat biryani is absolutely delicious but the butter chicken is the star here. It's perfect on rice and even better with the fresh Naan.I've tried the chicken tikka and it is divine! The spices are well balanced and create a great coating throughout the chicken. There is a salad bar here but it is hidden in the back by the drinks so most people tend to miss it.My first concern here is the options offered for buffers during the weekdays are quite limited compared to what you have on a weekend. This is perhaps due to the decrease in traffic/customers during the week. Personally, I think the entire menu should be offered at all times. Second, their website displays a completely different menu than what is available when you walk into the restaurant. I'd recommend catering the menu to each location so that people aren't so confused about what they are getting.

It has a delicious Pakistani food. I like their biryani and chicken karhi. The quality of food compensate for slightly above-average decor and service. The environment gives you feeling of a cafteria than restuarant. I will recommend if you are looking for a decent Pakistani food.

I normally read reviews and choose a restaurant based on the Yelp reviews, but this time we happened to be in the area and were starving so we tried it out, big mistake!We came in for an early dinner and were the only people in there. The service was slow and the food was not good at all! All the Yelp reviews are right.There were dates in each table and there was flies going from table to table contaminating the food. Lesson learned, read reviews before going in blindly!

My family lives in Austin, but we wanted to throw a party in Houston since there are so many more Zabihah options. I was nervous because I didn't know how to even start planning a party in another city, but Viqas from Tempura HIllcroft received my call, and he was so helpful! He made sure everything was organized before we got there- the tables were set up neatly and the place was very clean. He advised me to ensure my guests come on time so that they can make the most of the DELICIOUS buffet, and had a staff member who constantly served fresh naan, and even the cake we had personally bought. The owner was very accommodating of our time and respectful of the fact that because we had a party with elderly people it may take us a while to clear up our things. Overall an AMAZING experience - I would highly recommend this place for throwing parties!
