Temari Fine Japanese Cuisine

I've been coming to Temari in Gilbert for years, and it remains my favorite sushi spot! Every visit is a delightful experience, thanks to their consistently great customer service, generous portions, and inviting atmosphere.The staff at Temari always make me feel welcome. They're incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every dining experience is smooth and enjoyable. Whether it's a busy night or a quiet afternoon, the service is always top-notch.The sushi at Temari is simply fantastic. The portions are generous, with fresh, high-quality fish and beautifully presented rolls. Whether you prefer classic sushi or more creative rolls, there's something on the menu for everyone. Divine! Delicious! Dashing! We had such a great experience with this sushi restaurant. Every roll we got was delicious. The primo was my favorite out of the 3! They are very saucy. The sauce is delicious! Especially their garlic and lemon white sauces. I wish we had this restaurant in the area we just moved to!!

I've tried coming here multiple times with much disappointment. Each time it's long waits which if it's as good as I hear that's to be expected however! Today I arrived being that google shows they close at 2. After driving 30 minutes mind you... At 1:25 the doors were closed and locked. So I called to ask and she stated they closed at 1:30 now. I wasn't offered to order take out, even though it was literally within their open hours. Very frustrating that no matter what I do I seem to strike out time after time. And now I get an hour round trip with an empty belly. Not good :(

Not sure where to even start!! We've looked for an amazing shush place that we just love and have to go back to for years now.... Our daughter introduced us to Temari several months ago, and this is it. I do not think we will ever go anywhere else for sushi. The owners are amazing!! Absolutely the freshest sushi we've ever had! Every roll we've ordered has been SO good! The atmosphere is so warm and inviting! They thank you for being there. They want you there. I hope it never changes! So many favorites there.

We heard good things about this place from a friend so decided to check it out rather than our usual sushi place. We arrived and there was quite a crowd in line waiting for a table. You have to wade through the crowd to put your own name on a clipboard. I thought it was kinda lame and not very obvious to those coming in after us. We thought it would be a good sign that there was such a wait, but it should have been a warning for us.There are few tables inside and only 6-8 seats at the sushi bar. We waited 45 minutes for a party of four. By the time we sat down, we were famished but just grateful to be seated. They plopped the menus down and ran off. It took 10 minutes to get our drink orders in. And another 10 to get our sodas. At one point the waitress hurried by to ask if we were ready to order but didn't even pause long enough for us to answer. So we waited another 10 minutes to place our food order. She was not very helpful about the few questions we had about the menu and seemed irritated that we would even bother her with questions. Our food took another 15 minutes to arrive. The cooked items came out before the sushi, which seemed odd and the sushi chefs weren't busy because we were sitting across from the bar and could watch them. The food was underwhelming. I think the appeal of this place is the large number of special roll options which aren't my measure of great sushi, in my opinion. Both chicken entrees were overcooked and dry but a good portion. The sashimi were made of large slices, but the chef didn't slice the fish properly. It was not artfully sliced like you would expect from a good sushi place. However, it tasted fresh, but it still wasn't pleasant grinding through the stringy pieces within the fish. Basically, if you like lots of special rolls, this is your place(if you can wait 2 hours before you finally eat). If you are a sushi connoisseur, you will not be impressed here. We won't be venturing back here again.

Best sushi I ever tasted, they have so many to choose from. I had the Garlic Lover Roll. I'm a garlic lover, and this was the best thing I ate. I also had the undon noodles with tempura shrimp and yams. I will diffently be back to try all the sushi. If you are a sushi lover, you need to try this place. The undon noodles are delicious, so much flavor is going on so fresh

Definitely worth the hour wait! Very small place with a huge menu of sushi. The sushi chef helped us decide since we sat at the sushi bar. Every roll was so flavorful and pretty on the plate! I always get the same roll everywhere I go but not this time. We loved every roll we tried. So fresh and delicious. We had the #2 roll, Las Vegas roll and the Awesome roll. I was stuffed when we left and very satisfied with the service and food. Next time we will go either early or late to try to avoid the long wait. I recommend listening to the sushi chef suggestions because we enjoyed everything he suggested.

Food was good, it was right before they closed at 1:30 and you wouldn't have known, the service was still great and attentive. It's a small place but the mood and lighting were very nice, plenty cool on a hot Az day.

Best sushi in Arizona. Matt and family are so friendly. A great date night for you and your spouse. Just make sure an budget a little extra time as the wait can be a little long, but it is absolutely worth the wait
