It's just impressive!!!If you like seafood don't skip it.A huge variety of seafood, the staff is patient with questions and incredibly knowledgeable.I even tried the phallic geoduck. If you have never tried it the belly is mild in flavor. It hints of cucumber. The texture is similar to calamari and even more tender. I personally didn't love the siphon meat. It was much more flavorful akin to an oceanic description and tougher texture.

Decently good seafood place. They have a large selection of oysters and seafood. They also have geoduck which is one of the reasons we came.We also ordered cracked crab but it was pretty small. The crap was prob about 1 pound which is unpleasant. Also the crab comes with the head, but it's filled with their special sauce so if you looking for crab brains, be ready to be disappointed.

My partner and I came on a rainy day during our trip in Seattle for a snack and the restaurant was still packed! We were seated by the door on these barstools looking out to the street, but thanks to the angling of the doorway, we didn't really feel the cold air rush in each time it was opened. This restaurant is smaller and the tables were arranged in mainly 4 seats, perhaps putting some together could accommodate a larger group of 8. We noticed there are running water tanks in the middle of the restaurant where they sell fresh oysters and other seafoods. Thought that was a unique touch! We ordered the Rockfish ceviche, uni with toast, one baked oyster, and two dozen raw oysters. Just FYI, as stated on the website, a 18.9% service charge will be charged for in house dining to help support their staff! Rockfish ceviche - I really liked this dish! I think it was delicious and citrusy and I couldn't stop eating it with the little fluffy chips they give you. I appreciated the portion size, I was able to get a chunk of fish with every bite and the jalapeños weren't too spicy so it gave it a nice kick. The chewiness of the rockfish was a great texture and the amount of chips they give you is supple! Usually for ceviche or a dip, I feel like there sometimes isn't enough toast, chips, etc. But they do a great job with portioning here. Uni with toast - Again great portioning where you get a piece of uni per piece of toast. Really loved the crunchiness of the toast to really allow you to taste and get the texture of the fresh uni. Huge fan of uni and this place has good ones!Their raw oysters here are delectable! Super fresh, clean, and tasty! We started off with one dozen and really enjoyed the Virginicas (they may be my new favorite oyster next to my OG Kumamotos; I think they taste equally delicious but the Virginicas are definitely larger in size than some Kumas).I would definitely recommend coming during happy hour if possible. We ended up ordering another dozen during happy hour (2pm-4pm) when the clock struck 2! Each oyster is generally $3-4 so happy hour is the way to go.Try to be patient with service as they have servers not only helping tables, but I think also helping to bag the seafood that they sell in the tanks. Sometimes you will have to ask for water frequently with their small glasses.

What we ordered:- Rockfish ceviche- Whole dungeness crab- Shucker's dozenRight when we walked into Taylor's Shellfish, we knew from the open tanks of seafood table-side that we were in for a treat! We started with the rockfish ceviche that had great quality fish with a very soft texture. Ceviche was very acidic and had a slight sweetness to it.The whole dungeness crab was the best quality crab we have eaten with a nice sweetness to the firm leg meat and soft body meat. The house OMG! sauce was comprised of the rich juice from the crab which tasted creamy and sweet, the perfect complement. The shucker's dozen (which varies in selection) consisted of XS Pacific, Fat Bastard, Sumo Kumo, Shigoku, Kumamoto, and Pacific Petite oysters. Our favorites of the bunch were the Fat Bastard, Sumo Kumo, and Shigoku. These were the best quality oysters we have had so far, and would definitely come back!

Can't rave about this place enough, despite being vegan. My boyfriend is from Arizona and he's never been to Seattle so he's never had the pleasure of experiencing oysters as lovely as the ones from the PNW. That was until I brought him here...Not only is the restaurant super cute and in a great location, but the oysters are also out of this world and the service was top tier. Our server really took the time to explain everything to my boyfriend, provided his best recommendations, and even hooked us up. Eating here was one of the highlights of our trip. We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

You can't go to Seattle without eating its famous seafood! Taylor shellfish did not disappoint. The salish sampler was perfect for two, and the seafood was incredibly fresh. I loooove fresh oysters and these were remarkable. Went on a Monday so there weren't many customers, but the employees were incredible and went above and beyond! We accidentally dropped a shrimp on the ground (rookie mistake) and a waiter who witnessed it immediately gave us a new shrimp! You end off the meal with a hot towel and lemon to clean off your hands. Could not recommend this place more.

What's Seattle without seafood? On my list, it was a must for me to try seafood in Seattle. I'm extremely grateful that Jennifer L. my tour guide, suggested we get our hands on some oysters here in the PNW!After exploring Pike's Place, we made our way up to Taylor Shellfish Farm for their happy hour which is offered 2:00-4:00 p.m. (check location as times vary). We came without reservations on a weekday and were immediately sat and helped. Throughout our short experience, service was satisfactory and our food came out in adequate time. The restaurant makes you feel as if you're in a kitchen--a casual, lowkey, and fun experience. They pride themselves on high standard, quality shellfish, served sustainably which is valuable in this day and age. Due to hanging out during happy hour, our selections were limited. We chose to order the Oyster du Jour, Geoduck Sashimi, and NoLa Style Baked Oyster. Now I don't often eat oysters and can't gauge the flavor profiles but we agreed for the price of $2.25 it was a steal (as of September 2023). The oysters had a clean brine to it while being plump in size. Paired with a little squeeze of lemon and tangy mignonette, it was well-balanced. The geoduck was complex as we'd both never tried it. We tried both the belly and siphon and noted the texture was similar to a clam and calamari in one. The taste itself was mildly firm but we appreciated the wasabi soy sauce which added more flavor. My friend also got the baked oyster and said it was okay but masked by the cheese.Beloved by locals and tourists, if you're looking for oysters then Taylor Shellfish Farm is a fantastic option. They have several locations in Washington and ship items online as well. Parking is limited to the street or parking garage. As a tourist, I highly recommend coming here for affordable, fresh, and tide-to-table shellfish.

We are a long time fan of Taylor Shellfish farm .. simply because of their fat bastards oyster. It's by far the best oyster out there: super delicious, crunchy , fresh, such great texture . We've been to their farm to buy raw oysters, and have been to their other restaurants downtown . Recently we came here twice .. Happy Hour price is a good deal on Oysters . they don't have the same oysters on the Happy Hour menu . The staff could be a little more friendly . some of them didn't act too happy Try the baguette too . such good bread and it came with very good whipped butter Can't wait to come back again for more yummy oysters

Taylor Shellfish is a must try if you're in Seattle! This is the first spot I take visitors, and I haven't had a bad experience yet. The oysters are clearly fresh, and every member of the staff is knowledgeable about their seafood. None of the dishes here are atypical for a seafood spot, but every single dish has high quality ingredients, and the care that goes into the menu is clear. I'd give 6 stars if I could, absolutely love this place!!!

Only here for the oysters! So fresh and so good. It's a super casual place down the street from the Reserve. I tried 5 different kinds of the ones they had available that day. Got recommendations from the staff but the Virginica ended up being my favorite! They don't offer dressings like they do down south but that way you can really taste the brine and different flavors of the oysters (although I could've done with a little hot sauce )Honestly, if I'm ever up in Seattle, I'm gonna make my way to their actual farm that's about an hour? away from downtown. This is a must stop if you're wanting oysters and you're in Seattle.
