Stopped in on a Saturday evening. Stood around and were no greeted for several minutes. After we greeted the host, she was incredibly rude and seemed bothered that we were there. The bar was empty and we were happy to sit there, we took a few steps toward it and she snapped at us to wait.Ordered a bottle of wine, some apps. Some good some not. Focaccia was the stand out, so that's what you're working with here. I've had much better Italian food in many other Seattle spots. Don't recommend if you're looking for warm service.

The three of us decided we were hungry for good Italian food so we remembered our friends favorite spot Tavolata in Capital Hill. We got there right when they opened at 4:00 for their happy hour so we could try several small plates. We sat at their nice bar & the bartender took great care of us. We started with martinis & a glass a Sauvignon Blanc while we looked at their delicious menu. We decided on beet salad, Caesar salad, prosciutto & shaved Parmesan with puffy bread (the bartender recommended) homemade rigatoni & anchovy pasta. The salads were amazing- so fresh a flavorful. The prosciutto, shaved Parmesan with puffy bread was so delicious too. The homemade rigatoni was really good but the anchovy pasta was so fishy we couldn't eat it so our bartender took it off of our bill which was so nice because we said how much we liked anchovies lol. The restaurant is really open & nice- kind of rustic. The service was excellent & the food amazing- we'll definitely be back.

Honestly, I really wanted to love this place when I went, but I just didn't really understand the hype. The portions were expensive but small, and the pasta didn't taste like anything spectacular. The ambience was nice though - I liked sitting on the patio and being able to people watch as I ate dinner.

I've had this place on my list forever and was so excited to come here, but I think I might have hyped myself up a bit too much. Came here with some friends on a Monday without reservations and thankfully there was room for us! Restaurant is super cute and ambiance would be great for a date night. We ordered the focaccia and several plates of pasta to share. Focaccia was a bit stale. The butter was delicious though and I loved the parmesan/parsley mixture on top. We got the tagliatelle and I felt like the pasta was a little overcooked/soft. The rigatoni with sausage was delicious! I wish they did more of a vodka sauce because I'm a sucker for that. Would also appreciate if they had some fresh ground black pepper mills at the table. I ordered the devil's nectar cocktail and it was super cute, but was halfway full in the glass it came out in - wish they could have added some ice or sparkling water to top it off to feel like a full cocktail. Overall, it was fine, but would give other places in the area a try before coming back.

In town visiting and looked into having Italian for dinner, it was Saturday and a very busy night, thankfully for us we were seated among arriving. The decor is romantic and dim lighting. We ordered the pappardelle and tonnarelli. The serving was generous in my opinion. The Oaxacan showdown drink was very tasty. Plates range from $25+ as you'd expect from any other Italian location.

I'm glad I didn't read reviews thoroughly like I usually do! The negative reviews would have dissuaded me. Went for a date night with the hubby and was not disappointed. Loved the industrial vibe. The upstairs was cozy. Had a perfect corner table that felt tucked away. They do have some communal style tables that I'm not a huge fan of, so glad we weren't seated there. The burrata was good. We really like the rhubarb mustardo. It was tangy and really offset the mild cheese. The focaccia was the best I've ever had. It was salty, crunchy on the outside but soft in the middle. The butter and oil/balsamic on the side were not needed. My husband ordered the cacio e Pepe and I ordered the bucatini carbonara. Both were really good. Definitely salty but I didn't feel overly so. The pasta was a perfect al dente. No room for desert. Pasta portions were large and we didn't finish. Would definitely eat here again.

Y'all straight up: we got a drink each, a salad, a burrata, and an entree each.....$145. Yall that's almost a new pair of Jordans. That's real talk. And they have an automatic 22% service charge, then have the stones to ask me again for another tip. Then let's take a look at y'all's food. Ravioli was pretty good. Gnocchi was essentially polenta with red sauce. In fact I believe the word at the table that was said is "a polenta disaster." DAMN! But for polenta with red sauce, not bad.Take a look at my reviews. Done hundreds. I done MAYBE five reviews that were below 5 stars. And for those reasons....I'm giving y'all 4 stars. Tavolata there's a lot to love, but cmon now y'all. 4 stars.

If there's one thing that you must get here it's the burrata! So so good! Came in for happy hour around 5:00pm on a Thursday and there were plenty of tables available. We did make a reservation at 5:45pm and luckily were able to get seated early which was perfect! We ordered a mixture of dishes on and off the happy hour menu. We got the pappardelle and carbonara which were both delicious but nothing too special. We liked the carbonara a little more and felt that the pappardelle pasta was a bit overcooked--wished it was a bit more al dente. We also decided to get a Caesar salad and side of bread which were both yummy. The stand out dish was definitely the burrata with persimmon, pomegranate, and candied walnuts. This blew us away and my friend and I decided we come back just for this dish!

Ambiance is relaxed, food options are okay on paper but once delivered are very underwhelming. Portion sizes are small, and not worth the price in my opinion. More than anything we waited for more than an hour for our food, with no updates from our server nor periodic check-ins. To make matters worse, they implement a mandatory service charge, which they didn't deserve. Very poor customer service & by overpriced mediocre food. Would not recommend or come here again.

Service failure. Did not honor reservation. Suggested we go eat at the bar. At same time, was able to make a new reservation for immediate seating.Overbooked? Service failures - unmet expectations ruin the best of meals and reputations.
